Description
Well, yeah, I am North Yorkshire born and bread, but I did live in Cambridgeshire for 2 and a half years between October 2006 and June 2009, actually, it was once part of Huntingdonshire, so here we are in Bramby, a village near Huntingdon, based on typical rural Cambridgeshire. Huntingdonshire was once an actual county until 1974 when it became part of Cambridgeshire, but it lives on as Huntingdonshire District, towns include Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots and Ramsey. When I was there, I lived in Hartford, a village but more like a suburb of Huntingdon. Anyway....here are some of the features of Bramby with a population of about 2,100...based on Huntingdonshire's villages.

The High Street Shops, is roughly based on Kimbolton's High Street, includes many shops, a hotel, butchers, post office, and other shops, and also the Village Library.
Holy Trinity Parish Church, based on St Mary, Buckden, St Mary, Godmanchester, and All Saints, St Ives dating to the 13th century with it's proud spire towers over the village, like a lot of Cambridgeshire churches, it has a ring of 8 bells tuned to E, cast by Gillett and Johnston that can be rung, a pipe organ by Brindley and Foster of Sheffield with it's decorative pipes, it plays a hymn when you press the button *recorded by me at the organ of St Mary, Carleton in Craven, another Brindley and Foster*
The Old Methodist Chapel on the village green, based on the Old Chapel at Houghton, that is a youth hostel, but this is a converted house, and the old Chapel Hall is now a swimming pool. There is a basement you can go under as well, just find the right door! A new Methodist Church from 1974 replaces it!
Timber framed houses, typical of many villages around this area, I would of added thatched roofs as well, but that is more nearer to the River Great Ouse....
The Pub, with it's timber frame building, get drunk XD
The Village Sign on the green, Typical of many villages around here, but it was designed by the Year 6 class of the Village Primary School in 2007!
Plenty of space for you to enjoy this map, listen and look out for easter eggs...
Also Bus services are available to Huntingdon, St Ives and Ely

If you notice some features from other Villages I've not listed, let me know....
