Tips
These are just a few tips that will probably avoid regrets later on. Nothing really big here, but it can save you time and energy.

Exploration
  • Each scene has 4 different item dispositions that's picked at random every time you explore the location. Each disposition will display the same 30 findable items, but in different locations (sometimes different position and/or color, and sometimes slightly different shape) and you'll have to find some of them also picked at random.
  • When you explore a scene, there are 2 pairs of 2 aspects that influence the gameplay:
    • Day / Night -- Day is the default mode. When playing at night, you'll only be able to see a small area around the cursor, while the rest will be ingulfed in darkness.
    • Word / Silhouette -- Word is the default mode, in which you have to find an object by its name. In Silhouette mode, you have to guess what object you have to find by its silhouette.
  • For each 5 times you explore an specific location, the 5th will be at Night.
  • For each 3 times you explore an specific location, the 3rd will be in Silhouette mode.
  • Those cycles are counted separately for each location. In other words, if you wanna explore Cabin at night, exploring other locations won't help Cabin be available for you at night
  • Here's the list of a full cycle for a given location:
    1. Day & Word
    2. Day & Word
    3. Day & Silhouette
    4. Day & Word
    5. Night & Word
    6. Day & Silhouette
    7. Day & Word
    8. Day & Word
    9. Day & Silhouette
    10. Night & Word
    11. Day & Word
    12. Day & Silhouette
    13. Day & Word
    14. Day & Word
    15. Night & Silhouette

Quests
  • Try visit locations that could help you complete more than one quest, if possible. This is especially true for locations that require you to spend an item in order to visit them.
  • For quests that require interaction, it's ok to spend your gold, especially with the wolf, since the arrow is cheap.
  • Speaking of interaction quests, DON'T USE INTERACTION ITEMS unless you really need to do it in order to complete a quest (an interaction quest, or a quest that requires an item that's obtainable only through interactions)! You'll need a lot of those items when the quests come.
  • Don't focus too hard on Collection quests, especially in the early game. They will take some time, and you're better off doing other quests and getting stuff for the collection by "accident".

In-Game Achievements
  • Almost every achievement will unlock by itself as you progress, so don't stress much about them
  • One exception: Absent-minded (for failing explorations). The best time to do it is right when you start playing, when the Cabin is still cheap (price in energy to explore goes up as you level up your locations). Don't worry, you'll win energy items for those in-game achievements. For the Steam achievement, you only need to fail 5 times. Also, don't forget that you can find all objects, except one, and that you can manually leave the scene (from the pause menu), instead of waiting for the time to run out, and, in the process, get a bit of xp, money and even energy.
  • Also, you'll have to remember to use tools and amulets for the corresponding achievements to unlock.

Gems
  • Save all your Gems for Sushi. It increases your max energy by 10, which, in the long run, will allow you to play for longer periods
  • Don't buy amulets, unless you're constantly buying gems with real money! You'll get amulets as rewards, and your energy is likely to expire a lot faster than the amulets' effects. Nice to use when you get them for free, but not worth spending the gems (you should get enough amulets from rewards for the achievements)
  • Just to make sure you got it: gems are limited, so it's best to invest them in something permanent. And Sushi is the only way I know of having something permanent.

Gold Coins
  • Save them for when you need to buy interaction items
  • Don't buy tools! You probably won't need more than you get for free (even for the lv5 achievement).

Amulets
  • Yes, I told you not to buy them, but you'll end up getting some anyway.
  • Amulets provide boosts, like extra XP and gold on explorations, but also faster energy regeneration and extra time for exploration.
  • If you use two different amulets that provide the same boost, the boost will stack (eg: if you use two different amulets that give you +100% XP on explorations, you'll get +200%).
  • However, if you use two of the same amulet, that time duration of the effect will stack instead (eg: if you use two amulets that boost XP gain for 15 minutes, you'll have that effect for 30 minutes)
  • As of now, Tiger amulet does NOT provide the XP boost it promises.

Misc
  • As of Mar 2016, the max level is 45. After that, you don't level up anymore, but you still get XP. You will NOT heal or gain gems from level ups anymore.
  • After that, I've unlock a few insanely grindy quests, including one that cannot be completed as of now, and that's where I gave up playing this game.
Conclusion

Did I miss that you already had that? Sorry. I read over it fairly quickly. Nice guide by the way. I cannot believe I am playing the same scene over and over and not getting bored yet.

Do you mean what I said here?

"Speaking of interaction quests, DON'T USE INTERACTION ITEMS unless you really need to do it in order to complete a quest (an interaction quest, or a quest that requires an item that's obtainable only through interactions)! You'll need a lot of those items when the quests come."

I would add a Tip that you should NOT interact with any of the character unless you absolutely need an item only they provide or you have a quest to do so. There are many quest where you will need to interact with them multiple times, so waiting to interact will reduce the grinding around that some what, :rolling_pin:
