Everything You Need to Know
Okay, for all of you dedicated peeps out there that actually want to make this game better I suggest we get together and start tracking songs together.

For Guitar Hero
Pathero
http://pathhero.codemann8.com/index.php

And for Rockband it's...
RockBand 1-3 ajanata
http://charts.ajanata.com/rb/

These websites are the bread and butter for Guitar Hero Charts from Guitar Hero 1 all the way to Guitar Hero WOR and RockBand 1-3. Including every difficulty and BPM for all the measures.

Make a free account on scorehero.com first then make an account for pathhero.com to access charts. Once done than go to the Create tab and from there all the songs corresponds to the specific game it's in.

The ajanata RockBand is easy to navigate, you'll figure things out.

Ex. If you want Black Widow of La Porte - John 5
1. Create tab
2. Choose GH WOR
3. Choose Guitar
4. Choose the difficulty
5. Save the image to your computer or right click open the image in new tab and then bookmark it for easier access

Now that's to get the chart and now to get the song we should get it from Youtube. A lot of you guys might not know but if you want to get the original audio song there's a trick.

Ex. If you want Black Widow of La Porte - John 5 .mp3
1. Go to Youtube
2. In the search, type... #john5
3. Click on the #John5 channel, usually the first one
4. Go to the videos section and you should see videos with correct album art and song title
5. YOU MUST USE http://convert2mp3.net/en/ this site has a 100% pass rate on downloading the .mp3. I have tried so many sites like Youtube to Mp3 where it just wont find the server it's located in.
6. Convert the video and download to .mp3

Now that we have the song and note chart for Black Widow of La Porte - John 5 we just import it to the game. To get the best tracking and most accurate use the offest feature. ALWAYS OFFSET TO THE FIRST BOLD LINE OF THE BAR. It should never be in the middle of a bar.

Another thing to watch out for is the BPM. You must change it for every time it displays at the top of the bars on the GH note chart sheet for perfect alignment.

For 3 fret notes always use the most left note and the most right note. Since we cant have 3 frets held down at the same time.

Ex. If you see 3-4 note holds
1. Take the left and right notes
2. Disregard the middle notes

The problems that I've ran into is keeping track of the BPM. The BEST method for me so far is. Either doing BPM for a single measure than feeling in the notes and repeating the next and the next. Or you can do 1 row full of BPM than start filling in the row of notes.

Make sure when you're filling in the notes, please change the grid snap. Usually GH will use a grid snap of 4,6, 8. A snap of 5 and 7 is rare for GH. Sometimes GH will overchart the songs and when you can't fit with an 8 snap use your head to figure out what note should stay and what should not be there.

Very VERY RARE occassions when there's a BPM that's over 200 (the limit for Chiptune) for ex. Through the Fire and Flames, You will need to do some conversions.

Ex. 204
1. Half the BPM. 204/2=101
2. 101 is now the new BPM
3. All 1/4th notes will be 1/8th notes. Meaning, Grid snap 4 = 1/4th and G.Snap 8 = 1/8th
4. Now every 4/4 time signature is now 2/2 since you halfed it

You will figure things out and everything will make sense after you start tracking 2 minutes into any song.

Keep the Stumming to auto, Don't manually override because it'll make life harder for you. Let the algorithm figure it out.
And LAST BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT... Make sure everytime that when you save it the progress and reopen it back up, is to make sure you're GRID SNAP SETTINGS are correct. If not IT WILL THROW YOU OFF AND CAUSE A HUGE PAIN WHEN YOU REALIZE THE SONG ISN'T ACCURATE.

When you publish the song make sure in the description you say it's either from Guitar Hero or Rockband

If you consistently work on the songs for an hour a day with little to no mistakes you can get the difficulties done in no time.

AND PLEASE TRACK FOR EASY, MEDIUM, and EXPERT. In GH and RB there's easy, medium, hard, and expert.
GH Easy for Chiptune C. Easy
GH Medium for Chiptune C. Medium
GH Expert for Chiptune C. Expert

Welp... That's it! I hope you guys can make Chiptune a great game because all this game lack is a good large music library. I tried doing this on my own but it was wayyyyy to much work, hope you guys can help out! :) Please and thank you!

Any questions feel free to message me on steam. GT: fishywtf

"Half the BPM. 204/2=101" Uh... probably just a quick mistake you made, but you should check your math on that. c:
