Disable Default Classes

Description
This mod disables the Ranger, Sharpshooter, Specialist and Grenadier classes. Make sure you have other custom classes ready to roll. Have fun! :D

Disclaimer: Learning how to edit your INI files is vastly superior to using these mods. Try that first.

===============================

Imagine this. So there you are, sitting with your 15+ new modded custom classes, pure embodiment of Awesomeness!!! Now your rookie made it through a battle. You are excited about the promotion he got. And he becomes... A what!!! A Ranger?! Aw come on! Are you kidding me!?

This mod is for people who are sick of the Generic Four and don't want to see them anymore. KTHXBYE, it was great playing with you in my first playthroughs. But it's time for something new! :D

If you want to disable them one by one, check out my other Disable ______ Class mods:
Disable Grenadier: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=633796183
Disable Specialist: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=633798470
Disable Sharpshooter: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=633801754
Disable Ranger: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=633803866

===============================

If you have second thoughts about this, and don't feel like re-enabling them manually, here is a mod to re-enable all classes:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=636882294

That mod conflicts with this mod big time. It's horrible. You may need to start a new game, but the alternative is doing manual INI editing. The instructions are in there.

Conflicts with other mods? Try this first: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=625230005

===============================

And if you feel like it, check my other mods:

Necromancer Class: Raise Zombie, Corpse explosion, Fireballs, curses, etc:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=626805128

Shocktrooper Class: Basically a ranger but instead of "sword to the face" he employs the far more effective "shotgun to the face": https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=626173584

I downloaded a launcher that makes it work, thank you for the suggestion though ♥

The mod is very old. I wouldn't know how many updates Firaxis must have pushed through and what they changed. There are newer mods that do the same. Try one of those?

This mod doesn't work for me

Interesting mod. What 15 awesome mod classes are there though? ;)

cool mod, thanks! is there any chance to make a mod to disable selected LW2 classes and revert back to ones from vanilla game?

I've got LW Officer/Leader, Toolbox, Perkpack and Laser Pack and so far i've had no conflicts.
So i'd say it's pretty compatible :p

I had not tested for compatibility with LW and the new patches. I'm very glad to hear that it works and that you are enjoying it. :D

Using this to combat having the additional LW Perkpack
Great Mod :) And although I have edited the .ini files for certain things, mods like these are helpful to prevent you from having 18 different .ini's for different customisations :P
