I mean there's a mod out there with symbols representing actual criminal organizations that are active today, and resistance movements in response to occupation (as opposed to tied to/instigated by political ideologies, because that's different and almost inherently operates by different rules) probably don't care about the personal politics of the members. Remember, XCOM is a literal remnant faction who still wear the flags of nations who surrendered to genocidal aliens. Do you REALLY think they care about whether their new melee-specialist ranger is a boy-scout or a well-directed madman?

Please stop use Sunrising flag symbol just because you think it has good-look. It reminds us Jap-empire in mid 1900's.

Or, at least, please make another symbol that has shape of celtic cross.

Anyway, I'm getting off-topic. That Rising Sun-flag is still used today, no? I mean, it's the one of the Japanese Navy, so it's alright to think of them, I guess. Connecting that to a certain war through is the same as still blaming the Portugese/Spanish(not sure) for genociding the Aztecs/Inca(whichever it was). Most people alive today didn't have anything to do with WW2 or something even earlier anyway. Point is if someone doesn't like something in this or another mod, they just don't have to use it. :x

Well, I don't think of it first, because when people go on to tell me how oh-so-terrible the Nazis were(to the jews, yes; but in the war, no; but every large country in Europe tried to genocide them before), when they barely attacked civil targets, if at all...while the Allied bombed my hometown that didn't even have any military stationed nor anything else for war, amongst MANY other civil-targets...guess I should feel offended at British and Murican military stuff, too?
....or how Americans seem to say that the German's bombed Pearl Harbor, yet Germans and Japanese at least learn it was the Japanese...nevermind that that too was only a military target and they claimed that it was something cruel...

Thank you, Mr. Yamino. It's pleasure to meet you, and I know the origin of Rising Sun Flag well.
But the proplem is, when you see Hakenkruez, you usually think about the Nazis first. 'Who used it first' is not important, but 'What most people think when they look' IS important.

@sirius2375: And the "Hakenkreuz" isn't a symbol the Nazi's made up, that's just what stupid people and stupid kids think....

These tattoss reminds me Civilization Series. Nice mod. :)
By the way, I don't dislike it, but some people doesn't like the rising sun flag for it represents Japanese imperialism. They think it is not too different from Hakenkreuz.
