Battlefield Voicepack

Description
Fair warning - in this mod the language is quite stronger than in my previous mods.

Featuring voices of:

Huang "Hannah" Shuyi (from BF4 campaign) - ready - 352 different voiceclips, 697 uses total

Kimble "Irish" Graves (from BF4 campaign) - ready - 385 different voiceclips, 699 uses total

Unnamed Multiplayer Soldier 1 ("Self Voice" - the voice of the soldier you control in BF3 and BF4 mp, one of the Snake 6-6 pair in BF3 co-op, some small uses in BF3 and BF4 sp) - ready - 406 different voiceclips, 793 uses total

Unnamed Multiplayer Soldier 2 (one of the US soldiers in BF3 and BF4 MP, some uses in BF4 sp) - ready - 364 different voiceclips, 810 uses total

There might be more voices added in the future!

Please report anything that you find weird - corrupted sounds / voiceclips that dont match actions taken by your soldier etc. etc. I will try to repair all the bugs as quickly as possible.

Youtube previews uses video that I've made for XCOM: Enemy Unknown version of this Voicepack.
XCOM2 Voicepack uses quite a lot additional voiceclips, that aren't featured in the video.

All sounds belong to DICE and EA

UPDATE LOG:

29-02-2016
Released the first version of the mod

01-03-2016
Removed shader file to improve performance (Et tu, modbuddy, contra me?)

13-03-2016
Added MP BF US Soldier 1 and 2 voices

TROUBLESHOOTING:

1) If you want to disable the voicepack appearing on random rookies, open XCOMContent.ini of this mod (in mod folder) and change language to anything other than english or other used languages (UNTESTED, need confirmation. Also need confirmation whether steam workshop forcefully fixes the mod or not)

2)Regarding the lack of radio filter - some people prefer it on, others not (that includes me even if I'm in minority lol). I will prepare a version with radiofilter on once I will complete converting all my old stuff from XCOM:EU to XCOM2. Most likely I will ask to download a separate package and replace the original one with it (unless workshop forces the mod to be always the same). This is because some of my voicepacks are very big in size and there is no need to double it.

Anyone managed to get these voices to work on WotC? They don't seem to load anymore

Irish was voiced and motion-captured by actor Michael K. Williams, who also portrayed Omar Little on The Wire, and Albert "Chalky" White on Boardwalk Empire, among other television and film roles. Williams passed away on September 6, 2021, prior to Battlefield 2042's release. R.I.P

Yes, but they're not assignable to the new Hero classes nor do they have voice lines for WotC-specific actions.

In my opinion the BF3 lines were so much better, I’ll never get over hearing “hey I’m getting fucked in the ass over here” or some other golden lines

No worries dude. We're supposed to be doing this for fun, if it's not fun don't do it.
Maybe remove that text from your various mod Descriptions though? If it ever does happen then it'll be a nice surprise. And you won't get annoying people like me hassling you about it :)

To be honest, at some point I planned to release radio filtered versions of my mods but unfortunately I've lost my motivation - at first I thought I just needed a break and later I got really busy at University. Before I knew I simply stopped to want to continue working on them. In the end it took me over a year to actually play a campaign with my own mods - I was THAT exhausted from the game.
As for why they don't have filters in the first place, I simply preferred them this way. I'm sorry but unless I find some motivation to continue my work I doubt I find good enough reason to force myself to start working on them again.
Once again I'm sorry to everyone that would like to see me update my mods. I'm sorry for my laziness. If the mod actually gets broken I will definitely try to fix it myself or ask for help someone who knows how to fix it, but at the moment I cannot promise I will add additional features like radio filtered versions of the voices.

As you're here. I believe you've converted all your EU/EW voices now. So... are the versions with a radio filter a possibility?

From what I've been hearing all voicepacks work for WOTC, no updates are needed, though I can't confirm it myself (can't afford to buy the expansion myself).
