Intro
Hello everyone! Thanks for checking out my Ivory Bug guide!

I made this guide for the people who want to get the Ivory Bugs on new runs after their original and for the people who are stuck and still can't find a couple. If you can't find someone, I would encourage you to still try and find them. The Ring of Candor will play a sound when you enter a room that contains a secret, which includes any room with an Ivory Bug. When you hear that sound, try and do everything you can in that room. You may be suprised to see that the one wall you didn't try jumping through was actually the one with the Ivory Bug you were looking for.

If you are reading this before/during your first playthrough, I would strongly suggest you stop reading this and go through the game once. You should be able to find a couple on your own. Maybe you'll even want to find all of them on your own! But when you're done with your first playthrough and you don't want to go through all the rooms again, feel free to come back and read the rest of the guide.

Since you're still reading, l'm guessing you want to see the locations. Let's get started!

NOTE: These locations are ordered in a way I think makes the Ivory Bugs easy to get while completing the game and without too much backtracking. This may not be the order you collected any of the Ivory Bugs, so the order might seem random. In that case, check the pictures of the area included in each section and find the ones that don't look familiar to the places you found your Ivory Bugs.
1 - Sacred Ordalia Grove

The first Ivory Bug is located at the second save point in the game.

Don't worry about those other green tiles, we'll get to them later.

This one is the easiest to get because it's right under where you save!

Just drop down under the save point, run around in the hole, and you should get your first Ivory Bug.
2 - Sacred Ordalia Grove

The second Ivory Bug is a little after the save point where we got the first Ivory Bug.

After you first enter the room from the top-left, go a little bit towards the right and you'll see this area shown in the picture. If you go all the way to the left of the little hole shown in the picture, you'll find the Ivory Bug.
3 - Karst City

The next Ivory Bug is right at the start of the next area, Karst City.

To get to this one, you must go to the room to the right of the room circled and find an area where you can drop down. When you drop down, head left until you're at the area seen in the picture. If you keep heading left, you'll find the Ivory Bug.
4 - Karst City

This Ivory Bug is located in the room where you fight the Knight boss.

After you beat the boss, jump on the rising block and go to the ledge on the right. Now you must jump to the left and land on an invisible platform as shown in the picture. The area where the Ivory Bug will be hidden at first, so attack the wall where it is in the picture and the wall should disappear. After that, jump off the invisible platform and get the Ivory Bug.
5 - Forlorn Monastery

The next Ivory Bug is under the save room before the boss in the Forlorn Monastery.

In the save room above the room pictured, there should be a floor to the right of the save point that's lower than the floor the save point is on, but higher than the floor that leads to the exit of the room on the right. Attack this wall and a ladder leading downwards should be revealed. Take this ladder downwards and head to the spot shown in the picture. The Ivory Bug should be there.

Make sure you beat the boss to the right of the save room above you so you can get the upgrade from it.
6 - Cinder Chambers

Now we are in the Cinder Chambers and we must get to the lowest point of the area to get the next Ivory Bug.

When you enter this room from the right, it will be blocked off by a wall with a tiny hole in it. Shoot an arrow through that hole and it will hit the explosives on the other side that will break the wall in front of you. Head to the area shown in the picture and there should be a wall. Attack the wall and the Ivory Bug's location will be revealed.

After you get your Ivory Bug, beat the boss of this area, you'll need the upgrade you get after the fight so you can some Ivory Bugs later.
7 - Cinder Chambers

On our way back up, we'll be able to get this next Ivory Bug.

Enter this room from the right and you'll be in the area shown in the picture. To the right of the spike ball in front of you is a ceiling that you can jump through. Jump through that ceiling and hold left while you go through. You'll have to time your double jump just right so you can reach the Ivory Bug.
8 - Cinder Chambers

The reason we get this one last is because we need the air dash that we get from the boss in this area.

You won't see me in this picture because I'm inside the wall that's in the middle of the picture. To get there, you first must get to the ledge that's to the left of this wall. After that, double jump and air dash into the wall from the left and you will find the Ivory Bug in there.
9 - Whiteleaf Memorial Park

This Ivory Bug is located a couple rooms before the boss in Whiteleaf Memorial Park.

This spot is like the last one where the Ivory Bug is inside a wall. Go to the spot right under the ladder and use your jump and air dash to get as high on the left wall as you can. When you get it right, you should be standing on the post where the Ivory Bug is.

After you get the Ivory Bug, beat the boss that's to the right of the save room under this room. You'll need to beat it so you can get the next couple Ivory Bugs in the guide.
10 - Whiteleaf Memorial Park

Now that you're a cat, you can get into smaller spaces that will lead to more Ivory Bugs!

After you save, head upwards and go on the left path. Once you enter, you'll be on the small slope that's shown in the picture. If you drop down while on the slope, you'll be able to find an Ivory Bug that's under it.
11 - Whiteleaf Memorial Park

This Ivory Bug is right above the room we got the last one in. That's nice!

When you enter this area from the bottom, you'll want to jump over the smaller pillar on the left and face the wall on the left. There is a small hole in the wall that is one block high, which you should be able to fit into now that you're a small cat. Go into there and you will get the Ivory Bug.
12 - Subterranean Grave

This Ivory Bug is the only one located in Subterranean Grave.

To the left of the room this Ivory Bug is located in, there should be a ladder that leads to a chest. To the right of that chest is a wall you can walk through. Go through that wall and you should be back in the room with the Ivory Bug and should be facing a wall with a hole in it. Go into your cat form so you can get past the wall. Jump over the switch and the Ivory Bug should be located to the right of it.

You can choose to either beat the boss before getting the Ivory Bug or after. Either way, you should do it before leaving so you don't have to go back and do it later.
13 - Sacred Ordalia Grove

This is the start of the backtracking. There are only two more Ivory Bugs to backtrack to after this, so it shouldn't take too long.

This area is past a purple barrier that will change the scenery from green to white. When you enter the room from the left while the scenery is white, go to the purple barrier and turn the scenery back to green. After this, head back to the left and the Ivory Bug should be located to the right of that wall.

Make sure to get the upgrade from this area so you can use the warp to get to one of the Ivory Bug locations easier.
14 - Sacred Ordalia Grove

The last Ivory Bug in the Sacred Ordalia Grove!

When you enter this room from the right, you should see a floating platform. Defeat the enemies on it. Afterwards, go into your cat form and use your jumps and air dash to get to the small hole shown in the picture. Use this hole to jump to the area above the hole and the Ivory Bug should be there.

After getting this Ivory Bug, you can use the save area to the right of that room and warp to Forlorn Monastery to get the next Ivory Bug.
15 - Forlorn Monastery

This is the last Ivory Bug we have to backtrack for!

The room this Ivory Bug is in is to the right of the 5th one you got. Now that you can turn into a cat, you can go through the hole to the right of that room and get to this room. You can go through the wall on the right, so keeping going right and you should bump into the Ivory Bug.
16 - Royal Pinacotheca

These next Ivory Bugs are very close together, which makes it easier for us to get them!

After you come into this room from the right, drop down and defeat the two enemies so they don't interrupt you when getting the Ivory Bug. Now all you have to do is go into the wall on the right that's shown in the picture and you'll get the Ivory Bug.
17 - Royal Pinacotheca

This one is directly above the last room we were in.

When you enter this room from the bottom, immediately get on one of the floating platforms. As the platform takes you up, you'll see that there are 3 small holes with switches in them. Go into your cat form and jump into the second/middle hole. Now you can walk towards the switch and you should get the Ivory Bug.
18 - Royal Pinacotheca

This is the last Ivory Bug in the Royal Pinacotheca.

When you first enter this room from the right, you'll need to go into your cat form to get through those small spaces. When you make it to the top, you should defeat all the enemies there so you won't have to make a rush towards the Ivory Bug. Now that all the enemies are defeated, walk towards the area you can drop down from and you should get the Ivory Bug there.
19 - Karst Castle

We're now in the final area of the game, Karst Castle, which also includes the final two Ivory Bugs in the game!

When you first enter this area from the bottom, you should see an upwards slope on the right that leads to a spike pit. Use your jumps and air dash to jump over the spike pit and land on the invisible platform shown in the picture. When you land on the platform, you should get the Ivory Bug.
20 - Karst Castle

Finally, the last Ivory Bug!

After entering the room from the bottom, fight some enemies to get to the right of the room. You'll notice that in the spot where the Ivory Bug is in the picture is blocked by two enemies. If you go in front of those enemies, they will fly towards you. Go in front of those enemies at a safe distance, so you don't get hit, and go back towards the spot so you can get the last Ivory Bug.
Items for Collecting the Ivory Bugs
Now that we got the Ivory Bugs, you might be wondering what you can do with them.

At the top of Whiteleaf Memorial Park, there will be a room with a bunny florist in it. When you talk to the bunny florist, he/she (not sure what gender the bunny florist is) will give you items for your Ivory Bugs!

10 Ivory Bugs

For 10 Ivory Bugs, you'll be given two Bellflowers. Even though the text will make you think you only got one Bellflower, you should get two.

15 Ivory Bugs

For 15 Ivory Bugs, you'll be given a Hazel Badge. This item will seem useless until you find out how to use it.

You'll want to go over to Eri, who's located at the last save in the Sacred Ordalia Grove. When you talk to her, she'll recognize that you have the Hazel Badge.

She'll ask you to trade the Hazel Badge for her item, which turns out to be the Blessing Charm. The Blessing Charm is an Active Item that will put 8 projectiles around you that move in a counterclockwise motion. These projectiles can each take one hit, so use it carefully!

20 Ivory Bugs

For getting all 20 Ivory Bugs, you'll be given three Passifloras. Just like the Bellflowers, it will say that you were given one Passiflora, but you will actually get three. The Passiflora give you full health, so this should make the final boss fairly easy, even on hard mode!
Conclusion
Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight has been a really fun game to play and this guide has been a fun project to work on! I know I'm not the only one who was making a guide for these (some might already be out), so I hope I'm not discouraging anyone from continuing theirs. If anything, I hope that anyone else who's making an Ivory Bug guide could use this guide to make their own guide better than this one!

Speaking of making guides better, if anyone is interested in using the color-coded map I made for this guide, here's the full map!

The bridge between the Royal Pinacotheca and Karst Castle is the default map color since the game doesn't consider that as part of either of those areas.

Once again, thank you for checking out my guide and I hope it made your game experience better!
