Command line arguments or game launch options can be used to change game settings before running the game. Launch options allow the user to supercede internal settings of the game. This is an effective means to recover from incompatible video settings and well as troubleshooting a wide range of issues.

To set launch options in Steam:
• Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties;
• Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button;
• Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK;
• Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

• -reset - Launching the game with this parameter will show the reset button at the top left corner in main menu. When clicked, it resets ALL user stats (records, achievements, etc). You can use this to get an achievement "Tutorials are for dummies!".

• -force-d3d9 (Windows only) - Make the game use Direct3D 9 for rendering. Can fix some graphics issues with old GPU;
  
• -nolog (Linux & Windows only) - Do not produce output log. Speedup game.
  
• -screen-fullscreen - Overrides the default fullscreen state. This must be 0 or 1. 0 - windowed, 1 - fullscreen (e.g. for run game in a window: -screen-fullscreen 0);
  
• -screen-width and -screen-height - Overrides the default screen width and height. This must be an integer from a supported resolution (using example: -screen-width 1024 -screen-height 768).
