Secret Ending / "Grim Reaper"
Secret Ending / "Grim Reaper"

Way of the Samurai 3's secret ending is discovered by killing every NPC in the game, saving Shuzen for last. All of this must be accomplished before the Nobunaga Event is triggered. Discovering the secret ending is not a requirement of the "Way of the Samurai" achievement, but does award the "Grim Reaper" title.

  • Prologue: Peasants, choose dialogue option #1
  • Takatane Village:
    • Kill everyone except the biwa player.
  • Castle Amana:
    • Join Fujimori clan
    • Complete jobs for Kiyonari to gain access to Shuzen's quarters.
    • Kill everyone except Shuzen.
  • Castle Minori:
    • Join Ouka clan
    • Kill everyone except Genjuro.
  • The Road:
    • Kill Setsuen and Fabled Merchant.
  • Visit the remaining areas during the Day, killing everyone except Genjuro, Shuzen and the one biwa player.
  • Visit the remaining areas during the Night, killing everyone except Genjuro, Shuzen and the one biwa player.
  • Revisit those same areas during the Day and Night again to make sure you haven't missed anyone.
  • Castle Minori:
    • Kill Genjuro
    • Kill NPCs that spawn by you becoming leader of Ouka clan.
  • Takatane Village:
    • Save your game.
    • Kill the biwa player and Leave Amana.
    • If you're at 99.45%, Shuzen is the only remaining NPC... reload your game and defeat him.
    • If you're below 99.45%, you've missed someone... reload your game and track them down.

just so its clear, its not actually that strict to get some of the endings. for example, i got shuzen 1 and never once talked to Yuma or other Ouka Clan guys, Araragi (aside from the first cutscene), and i bowed to Shuzen every time.

You have to have 100 kills in one playthrough easiest way is to kill a Fujimori Soldier and then get from the Jobbroker the redemption job where you have to kill 100 enemies.

and after any action,you must keep it be night then you can go amana castle talk with suzen.

Addition to ending #19: It is missing one inkling. You have to talk to Yuma when he's standing right next to castle minori. It's a conversation between Yuma and Itsuse. If this one's not triggered, the last inkling for Itsuse won't be triggered before Nobunaga.

To get the Grim Reaper ending, do you need to also kill the NPC's that turn into partners? Because if that's the case then you are also forced to do missions for Oryo for that tsundere maid to show up

Also I have a Question: About the "To Proceed ___" parts, does that mean I shouldn't do anything else until I've done that? Like do the Job, sleep the rest of the day away, then do another Job until I've gained full trust?
