This is a straightforward guide that will get you started on using a controller on CS:GO. There are some guides out there on how to get your contoller to temporarly work while this guide will keep the settings meant for competitive play.

Ok before all the PC elitist come at me! This guide is not meant for people trying to win comp matches or for those who are try hards, this is simply for the ones who like to sit on their couch and play either it be with friends & family or if you just want to play casually.

These settings can be tweaked in game but I reccomend you do it through the .cfg file!

To get started you need my https://mega.nz/#!AUpARYSZ!On9s-MnBWJSUXJJOojMtzXRs3cjy13eQ0ml1Np4C1oE file to continue this step. Once you have that file go into your CS:GO cfg directory. Then place that file you downloaded into the cfg folder like shown in the picture.

Ok this is pretty simple, once you are in CS:GO hit the grave accent key ` to open up the console. Now copy paste the code below.
Hit Enter and your all set!

NOTES:

• kp_pgup is numpad9 on the keyboard!
  
• You need to press numpad9 twice!

Q: Is split screen an option?
A: Nope

Q: How can I change my settings?
A: I reccomend doing it through the .cfg file since the game doesn't like to always save the settings that you set in game.

Q: Aim assist?
A: Flat out NO, no Valve games have aim assist on PC. If you play CS:GO on Xbox it's aim assist is crap anyways.

Q: How do I apply the .cfg when I start up the game?
A: Hit "numpad9" on your keyboard, it will make everything work just as it should.

Q: Can you make a special .cfg file jsut for me?
A: Only if you ask nicely!
