Out of Reach - How to do everything
By Luna plays
Starting to love my new game I decided to create a guide. The game is pretty selfexplaining but either way any detail might be important to anyone who is new. Give me please a like if you like the guide and if you want me to keep you updated on new stuff. Going to try to mention all what's important. Feel free to let me know if I forgot anything ;)

Get started
You start on a beach with a stone in your hand. No worries you don't need a tool to replace it if it breaks after some time of using it. With the stone you can chop down wood or stone. The tree breaks down when you took all its wood, don't try going on getting wood from the tree that falls over. Only small rocks do give stone, the big ones are just decoration. As soon as you see sparks flying you are chopping down the rock. The trees can not be removed to build on top of them, means the treestump stays.

To open the inventory press I. To see later additional slots by added bag click on the bag to the left in your inventory. To open the map press M, to move the map click on it and drag it. You can drop items to a friend on the floor, a bag will show up with the item inside, press E to access it and drag the item over to your inventory to take it. To close any menu or window just press esc.
Press Q to switch your weaponset.

The achivements you can earn by playing will lead you in a step by step order through the games options to build stuff.
Before you can build anything you need to go collecting some stuff, the basics are wood, stone and fiber (flax). You need 10 flax to craft one rope, so keep an eye open for plants with blue flowers. To view the achivements press F4 and to see the one you just need to do look at the inventory.

First achivement is to build a shelter. So you should press F5 to open the building menu and Tab to find the different menus for the buildingmenu. To drop an item or buildingpart you select it by the numbers shown and press E to drop it. Just a fair warning, only pillars seem to support all ceilings.

House safety:

To make sure noone can enter your house you need to drop a builders desk and create a clan in the tables menu. Creating that you choose a banner that will later show up on your door. Anyone could still break open your door and distroy the table to take over your base. But there is a timer of some hours on the house after distroying the table that allows intruders not to take over at once. You need to add the names of all people who should have permissions at your base to the list at the table and activate the rights. You can also place traps inside and around the house.

Remove buildings:

If you want to remove something you did build press F7 and hover above the item you want to delete. You will sometimes need to remove the supports after distroying the main item. A wall for example leaves usually some support sticks that you need to remove afterwards too, a ceiling might leave a frame that you need to take care of after distroying the floor or roof.

Character Customisation:

In order to have some character customisation you can only craft armor. Till now the game doesn't offer any other character changes, not even a female avatar. By hunting and mining and building a smithy you can craft some armor with hide, flax and metall. Upgrade the armor if you like to, it will protect you better.
All you can do
Fields and Crop-plot flowerpots:

Some plants drop seeds when you pick them up. Building a field only works if you keep it at least one foundation away from any building if you build around it anything else, if you just drop it near your house you can move it very close to the other structure. Dropping cropplot flower pots works on balkonies and foundations or ceilings. You can build roofs above a terrace or porch by pillars support. You can grow berries, flax and mushrooms on the flowerpots, wheat and corn at the fields. ( I believe wheat is not in the game yet) But you can find wheat seeds in the treasure chests. Wheat you can cook afterwards in a fireplace or furnice to make bread.

Hunting:

You can find corn and berrie bushes as food in the madows and woods. Mushrooms are in caves. But you can also put some fishing nets up near the beach in the ocean to get fish or go hunting with a bow. You will need rope and wood to craft a bow. Aim slightly above the animal to hit it. Zebras and gazelles won't attack you but run away if you hit them, it takes several arrows to get one down but they walk and run only in a certain area and you can easy sneak a bit closer and shoot as soon as they aren't moving anymore. You can also hunt tigers, lions, hippos and rhinos. I would say the Rhinos are dealing most damage.
Did not try a crocodile yet though. The hunted animals give bones, fat, hide and meat. You will need the fat for torches, the rest for food and armor. Be careful if you did not craft armor yet an attacking animal can kill you.
There are also fishtraps to drop in shallow water, you will need wood and ropes to build them and have to look them up from time to time to pick up the fish. Now and then you will need to replace the ropes, they get used up. Same with all tools and weapons that get used up too by using them.

Swimming:

As soon as you run out of stamina you will get damaged as if a shark would bite you all the time till you run out of life and drown.

Respawn:

The bed does only work for the one who crafted it. Otherwise you will just randomly spawn anywhere on the map. There is not always a bag to pick up if you die, empty inventory after dieing.

Backpack:

Expanding your backpack is possible by crafting an extra bag and upgrading it with flax and hide. There is a slot in the inventory at the characterpicture where you can pull it into for using it.

Fireplace:

You can craft the fireplace to cook meat or fish and the food does end up automatically in your inventory after cooking. To start cooking you got a menu in your inventory for food preparation. After it burns down the fireplace will be gone.

Treasure hunt:

You can find stranded rowboats with a chest next to it. Open the chest by hitting it with an axe. You can find a treasure map inside or coins, a pirate hat, pirate sword and wheat seeds. If you click on the map you'll start a treasure hunt, look for a cross on your map. Treasure hunts got no timer on them. With 100 coins you can later on update your builders desk.

Raft:

You can craft a raft and upgrade it with bronzebars. You can tie the raft to a pier with a rope. You can see to its side a ladder symbol where you can get up in water.

Caves:

You can find metall on the hilltops, mainly copper and tin, you'll find iron in caves, but also the other metall. The mountaintops are also best spots to find flaxplants. Cave entrances can be a bit hidden behind trees. If you go into a cave you better make sure to carry enough torches or the materials to craft them to not get lost and trapped in a cave. Watch out also at the walls and ceilings of caves can be materials to farm.

Crafting with metall:

First step is to melt tin and copper to get bronze bars from the furnace. Then you can craft the head for a weapon or tool, like an axe head or an pickaxe head or a sword blade. After crafting this by your inventory, you will need to drop it in the anvil to hit it then several times with an hammer till it sais ready for use. For doing this you might want to craft at first the hammer. After you finished the weapon or tool head you can now craft the weapon or tool at the smithy with wood and flax. The same way you can craft with iron steelweapons and tools. To melt iron for getting steel you will need an upgraded furnice2, iron and wood.. To upgrade any item press F6.

Trebuchet and Ballista and Glider:

To play PVP you might want to build a trebuchet and ballista. You will need bronze for the ballista and the trebuchet. The trebuchet shoots very far and the ballista will kill animals by one hit because it deals much more damage than a bow. You can also build a glider but it is only useful to build that on a mountaintop or tower because it needs a cliff or very high tower to glide down ;) To build it you need to build its glider lancher at first on top of a wall. To build the glider go on top of that wall that holds it and you'll see that the launcher offers up there to add 3 glider parts.

Chat:

Ingame chat works by pressing T and the voicechat works by pressing R. Press F11 to see the players that are online.
For taking pictures ingame you can press F9 to remove the mousecurser and the life/stamina/ hunger bars.

I'm considering playing this game single player offline. Does it have an actual end? Can you keep playing after the end? Are there any events after you finish the game, which allow kinda infinite game time?
Thanks

Is there a way to copy this guide or print it? I cannot remember all of it and cannot constantly stop and play. Don't have two computers either.
