Description
"Hey, where I come from, two's a crowd." -Kyle 'Shadow' Simmons

This mod brings the mercs back from Jagged Alliance 2... in the form of a voice mod.
This is the Wave 4 pack, which comes with 18 voices. This is the last wave that I will be doing, because there are no more mercs to add! It was a pain to add all 76 mercs, but I believe that it was worth it in the end. Bunnyslayer's mod [Link below] has added all of the Classic Jagged Alliance mercs' voices. Check it out!

Check the History for the full list of mercs that are currently in this mod.

If you want the mercs for the full Jagged Alliance experience, then I suggest this mod by Bunnyslayer:
CP Jagged Alliance Series Character Pack

This pack will not contain voices from Back In Action, Crossfire, Online, and Flashback, and I have no intention to do so.

DETAILED INFORMATION:

The voice clips are extracted directly from the game; the highest quality possible. Despite this, the voice files were in mono 4-bit wav, which is low quality by today's standards.

I can't count the exact number of voice lines for each merc, but I can give you an estimate. The AIM mercs (Scully, Shadow, etc.) have about 116 voice lines. 38~ of them are reserved for AIM (calling, contract extension, etc.). I used about 40-50 lines, including the BattleSNDS, which are used in more than one circumstance. UB Mercs have the same amount, except that most of the 38 are reserved for situations in Unfinished Business. (Fan, Helicopter crash, etc.). UB Mercs have less than 40 used, depending on if they are RPCs or M.E.R.C mercs. RPCs have 2 more lines, since I used their respective NPC_Speech lines for some actions. This is something to keep in mind.

Some mercs might be a little quiet [Shadow], you might want to turn the music volume down, or turn up the voice volume.

I also wrote a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a voicepack here, if you are interested in making a voice mod for XCOM 2:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v8jU86Jeqn9wms4Pxjj7f5tHPlmli6TSogrbWvc5vUA/edit?usp=sharing

COMPATIBILITY:
It should work with all mods, however this need further testing. If you suspect there's an incompatibility, then report it to me. I'll take a look.

IN THE NEXT MAJOR UPDATE:
I'm done. There are no more mercs to add. I will continue to update my voicepacks though.

TO DO:
Maybe port voices from Deadly Games, and Jagged Alliance.
Maybe a future port that includes a radio filter for all mercs.

CREDITS:

Sir-Tech, for developing the beloved classic, Jagged Alliance.
The voice actors for their outstanding work.
E3245 for putting together this voice pack.

All content in this mod belongs to the original owners.

I'm guessing there's no plans to make any for the JA1 cast that died between games?

Any chance of the JA2 voicepacks getting cooked, OP?

Any chance of getting the JA3 voices?

Should've used Jagged Alliance 2's voices in my opinion since they are a bit higher quality.

Victoria Waters' lines are too long and she repeats them often. It's ok to have a long sentence as an Easter Egg, but when it's every time she moves, it gets old.
Also, holy cliche' Batman, her lines are baaad

In my case the game crashes after the installer menu when the addons are selected! Any thoughts? I am really not very fond of playing without fixing the add on to work first

Actually, it seems that most (if not all) voice packs work with WotC. Just select and ignore the warning.
I had no problems with any voice packs that were pre WotC, including the JA2 ones (had Grunty, Barry, Buns, Buzz, and Raven)

Is there a WOTC compatibility update in the works? I hope so, this is my favorite mod! Thanks for your work!

@silencer4
I think it should still work for WotC, but I could be wrong.

I don't know if I'll update this mod (already have my hands full with the cosmetics)

Will this work with WotC or we have to pray for a new release? I'm asking because some other voice mods were updated to WotC and have 2 versions vanilla and WotC
