Impairment Rebalance

Description
1: Unconsciousness can no longer be a result of a Stun check.

2: In its place, you now have a 4-tier stunning mechanism that is 100% customizable (See XComImpairmentRebalance.INI for values).

When you get hit, the enemy now makes a strength contest with your unit. Depending on the result, and on difficulty level, you may:
- Be disoriented (L1)
- Stunned 2 rounds (L2)
- Stunned 2/5 rounds (L3)
- Stunned 3 rounds (L4)

This applies to both sides. Whether you think this is fair or not is up to you.

Aesthetically, please note the game will show a tooltip that says "Stunned 6" for 3 rounds, because it shows you as total AP, not in rounds. You are not stunned 8 rounds. Also, the game doesn't show the remaining rounds each round unfortunately, but they are calculcated correctly (-2 each round)

The functions I changed cover the majority of cases that uses Unconsciousness. If something was overlooked feel free to comment. I'm almost positive there is a special case somewhere.

Does not affect "Shutdown" status from what I tested. Shutdown is counted in turns, not in Action Points.

V2.0:

Allows changing of Defense Stat to Strength.
Allows changing base chance of success.
Reduced maximum stun from 4 rounds to 3.

-= COMPATIBILITY ISSUES =-

XCOM Vanilla bug: Sometimes a unit immune to stun will become stunned and show STUNNED:0 instead of not doing anything. Can't fix that without deep native changes.

If you use my Disorient Dodge Penalty mod, Impairment Rebalance must be loaded FIRST, so the dodge can be then adjusted.

-= ALIEN HUNTERS COMPATIBILITY =-

100% compatible, code wasnt changed.

The Unconsciousness code is now obsolete, use my Ruler Unconsciousness Removal mod instead.

-= LW2 COMPATIBILITY =-
Looks like the Stun Lancers can render unconscious still, and on my first test it was the first result. I strongly suggest still using this mod.

Hi there. I subscribed to your mod so I can stop having all my squad fall unconcious. The mod unfortunately didn't work for me. I made sure it was selected on the start up screen but I'm not sure if it did anything. I should also note I didn't find any XComImpairmentRebalance.INI on my hard drive.

There might be some factors at play here: I also have downloaded the LessLethalLancers mod which could be causing conflicts. I'm also using a save from before I downloaded this mod.

You can make the Drone miss more often, reduce the chance it hits. Put =0 to its melee bonus, it should become 50-50ish.

Drones are not affected by this mod, they have their own ability. To reduce drone stun, go into the LW2 INI settings and change the Drone Stun duration from 4 to 2 (its in AP, not in rounds).
