"This is a facsimile of a report filed by RAF fighter pilot William Harbison in 1952, detailing his appraisal of F-86 vs. MiG-15 aerial combat during the Korean War. This facsimile was included in early copies of "MiG Alley" in the 1999, back when flight sims came in big boxes and included huge manuals. I like the weathered effect on the facsimile and how each page is marked with the word, "SECRET".

Key points in performance are:
1. The MiG-15 can outclimb and accelerate away from the F-86 at any altitude.
2. The MiG-15 flies faster at altitudes above 30,000 feet, and has a 5,000-foot ceiling advantage over the F-86.
3. Below 30,000 ft, the F-86 can out-turn the MiG-15 in level and diving turns.
4. The F-86 can handle a sustained dive better than the MiG-15.
5. Level speeds are the same for both aircraft at below 20,000 feet."
