What is this mod exactly
Well, the title of the mod explains a lot. This mod puts the setting of Rise of Nations in the second world war with all the belligerent nations going from the Third Reich to the United States. Each faction is unique with its own units, tanks and airplanes. Some nations borrow equipment from the side they chose (eg: german tanks for Bulgaria), but they all have something unique. Here is the link to this awesome mod.

Tactics, tips and some tricks
So you entered your first game with this mod activated you choose a faction and started the game. Now you're wondering. What should I do? What is the best way to start? Are there factions with notable bonuses?

The first thing you saw when you launched the game is that there are new factions, but you can't see these new nations when choosing. To make things easy I'll put a list of the original nations with their in-game counterpart.

- 1.Finland - (replacing Persians)
- 2.Netherlands & Dutch East Indies - (dutch)
- 3.India - (indians)
- 4.United States of America - (americans)
- 5.Bulgaria - (replacing Lakota)
- 6.Canada - (replacing Iroquois)
- 7.Poland - (replacing Mongols)
- 8.New Zealand - (replacing Koreans)
- 9.Imperial Japan - (japanese)
- 10.Republic of China - (chinese)
- 11.Soviet Union - (russians)
- 12.Nationalist Germany - (germans)
- 13.United Kingdom of Great Britain - (british)
- 14.France - (french)
- 15.Kingdom of Yugoslavia - (replacing Spanish)
- 16.Neutral Nations - (replacing Turks)
- 17.Egypt - (egyptians)
- 18.Regno d'Italia (tr: Kingdom of Italy) - (romans)
- 19.Norway or Scandinavia - (replacing Greece)
- 20.Hungary - (replacing Nubians)
- 21.South Africa - (replacing Bantu)
- 22.Romania - (replacing Inca)
- 23.Australia - (replacing Maya)
- 24.Brazil - (replacing Aztecs)

We will now move on to a discussion of the types of units I like and consider effective.

Tanks are useful as hell. They have good armor and firepower. They are perfect to withstand repeated assaults from hordes of infantry if managed correctly. The greatest enemies of a tank are anti-tank weapons (they can be countered with long range fire from your own tanks if you see them on time), other tanks and tank destroyers. Airplanes can be annoying as well eventhough the tank's armor is amazing and able to resist most assaults.

Heavy bombardment ships (dreadnoughts and upgrades). These massive ships are slow, but man they are fun to see in action. A staggering amount of health and armor, tremendous range and damage that can make buildings tremble when hearing it. Furthermore their natural enemy, the subs aren't available to all nations. If spammed (7 and more) and acompanied by destroyers they are able to ravage the shores. The only thing that can put one of these monsters down is another monster, assault aircraft or heavy artillery.

Artillery wins battles said Napoleon. In this mod it isn't entirely true. They are most useful for taking down buildings and ships at long range. Their high (splash) damage can be used against light infantry. Don't forget to take these with you. They are the only ones that can take down buildings quickly.

Through various games I remarked that the AI has a very specific behaviour. They will spam useless buildings like office buildings and houses. I strongly advice to raze these buildings as they will provide some resources and most importantly space to manoeuver.

Watch out
The AI LOVES minefields and you'll soon find out they are taking possession of their entire territory. They can't be seen except when moused over. These things are able to destroy even the hardiest troops if attention is not taken.
Last toughts
I would surely recommend this mod to anyone. The New system is innovative, unique, but most importantly fun. The new units and nations fit very well in the game. Thank you for reading this guide. Don't forget to rate and put your opinion in the comments section.

It's a shame that one can't get through a round of this mod without a vertex buffer crash... it's fantastic but I am rarely able to finish a match.

Game crashes after so many units are built. Good other then that though.

But you also put "Last toughts" instead of Last Thoughts.

What's your best method in destroying minefields? Mine is flamethrowers, as they for some reason do more damage to them for me at least. Also might want to include that troops and civilians are slightly slower than normal gameplay. Overall great guide!
