Description
No Longer Supported as I stopped playing Vanilla X2 a while back.
I've moved all my resources into the WotC Expansion now and play that exclusively.

The Technician Class is a variant of the vanilla Specialist Class. They can specialize in buffing allies or debuffing enemies. This class is intended to replace the specialist and is better used for players no longer using the vanilla classes.

@tannerreed97 it already is updated for wotc but as part of a class pack. I dont do single classes anymore as its a lot easier to manage a group (though you can disable ones you dont want). Check my workshop for a version you prefer.

can you make it with wotc

Okay thanks, I'll leave them up then, I will change the names though so people know they are old.

I think it's best to leave it up if you can -- it's going to mess up people's saves if they're using and not every user is going to check this thread.

Probably best would be to edit the mod name to put like [Obsolete] or [Deprecated] or something.

Is anyone still using this? I am considering deleting it when War of the Chosen comes out. I will make a new version if there is enough request but it will be a class pack (its easier for me to maange and you can just unselect which ones you don't want)

I love the idea of this class. It just needs deployable turrets and mine laying capability. Make one side hacking and the other gadget weapons.

Yeah theres a few issues with the rules of stealth. I'm not 100% sure on it, I removed it in my LW version.

Small bug with the ghost protocol -- if the technician is stealthed, he can't use it, even if a target isn't

I really like this class. The main one in my current game is pretty useless for direct combat (probably owing in part to toolbox nce/hp) but it sure is a great useful unit that helps control the battlefield and uses timely buffs.
I picked shadow over haywire though and regretted it. While awesome in the right situation, it doesn't seem to stack up against haywire in the long run.
Not even thru one campaign with it yet though, just first impression.
