This is a note from Spirit.

The game is still a WIP and a lot of things are being worked on, so please go easy on the game. Suggestions are always welcome, so comment them below, or in the Steam group and you should get a reply! :D

In the year 2525, a Robotic Sorcerer had received a bunch of dead people, that he had gotten by mistake instead of some [Sander]s he needed to finish his table. All of these lifeless bodies had lost their [Spirit]s so then he decides that the best thing to do with them is to revive the once pink bodies into skeletons. The Robotic Sorcerers provide these once lifeless bodies with the finest of weapons; their guns had a magic [Aura] around them, and they did more than natural damage, but only did so with the horrid delay of around four seconds.

After a long time of nothing, these creatures grew bored, so they decided to have a bit of fun, but if they wanted to be known for their "fun times", the had to have a name, something unique and unusual. Across the pipe one of the creatures yelped "Monterers!" out in pain to avoid having to swear, but all the creatures loved this new word, that they decided to call themselves this mistaken, yet dark-meaning name.

Over time, the streets became less and less full as the humans and all the other creatures that knew the place became scared of entering the newly dubbed "Wasteland", so there was a special force created, and they thought of a fitting name for a force to get rid of the "Morterers", so the name they chose to call themselves was "The Anti-Monterers".

These monsters were too powerful for this newly built team, so they decided to start to clone themselves and use special weapons, that had never used before. Over time the numbers of the original human warriors started to dwindle, and as the final human in this force fell, that was when the clones became overcharged.

This fighting had been going of for years and years, so long now that the clones have learned how to clone their clones. The year is now 3671, and you are the newest clone.

The part of history is now over, but this is only the beginning, go make new history and change those empty pages into books!

Monter is a new gamemode on Garry's Mod (Gmod) that has two teams, the Monterer and the Anti-Monterer.

The Monterer's are skeletons who have a Crowbar and a "Magic Pistol". Their speed is increased and their gravity is lowered, this increases the difficulty of trying to harm the Anti-Monterer and the Anti-Monterer trying to harm you.

The Anti-Montor's carry good arsenal of a 9MM Pistol, a Barricade Gun, a Sub Machine Gun (SMG), Pulse-Rifle and a SWAT SMG. They are quite slow and can hardly jump over anything, making you a easy target if the Monterere's didn't move so fast.

Monter has a few commands that you can type into chat or the "Developer Console", they are:

• !help - Prints commands into chat
  
• !team - Re-opens the team menu
  
• !shop - Opens the frag shop
  
• !skill - Opens the skill menu
  
• team_menu - This opens the menu of team choice, you can pick from Monterer or Anti-Monterer.
  
• point_menu - This opens the "FragShop". The "FragShop" is basically like the point shop, where "Frags" being the kills you've earned.
  
• skill_menu - Opens a skill menu where you can pick one skill your stuck with until you die

In the shop there a currently 8 items, and to get these items you need a certain amount of kills. The items are:

• A Crossbow which requires 6 kills,
  
• A Stronger Barricade Gun which requires 11 kills.
  
• A OP Barricade Gun which requires 21 kills.
  
• A RPG which requires 31 kills.
  
• A Gravity gun which requires 31 kills and can help you position the wooden barricades.
  
• A Physics gun which requires 150 kills and can help you position the metal barricades and propkill enemies
  
• Killstreak - Railgun which needs 50 kills
  
• Anti Monter Killstreak - Juggernaut which requires 100 kills

There are currently 4 skills currently and theese are

• Skill - Teleport - Has a 60 second cooldown and teleports you where your aiming be careful not to point at walls
  
• Skill - Launch - Has a 10 second cooldown and launches you up into the sky, usefull for getting onto buildings
  
• Skill - Dash - Has a 10 second cooldown and launches you where your aiming good for anti monters in combat to run away from monters or leroy jenkins into them
  
• Skill - Heal - Has a 30 second cooldown and will heal you for 50hp good for the moments your about to die in pvp[/list

Before you start playing, for the best experiance follow these steps on how to get started with playing "Morter"

• Firstly, you download the Morter add-on to prevent any slowing down of connections.
  
• Next you can jump onto a server that is already made under the gamemode "Morter" or create a new server to play with some friends.
  
• Thirdly you have to pick a team, Morterersl the "Gun Sorcerers" who only start with a crowbar or a pistol, and the Anti Moterer; like the SWAT of this fictional land, packed to the brim with guns of all kinds.

Oh and finally rJust remember to always have fun and start the day with a big grin in your face, good luck and happy Motering!

• Crowbar - A normal crowbar you'd see in one of the Half-Life games
  
• "Magic Pistol" - Depending on where it is shot, it can do A LOT of damage to you. Delay of four seconds.

• 9MM Pistol - This 9 milimetre pistol is the one you'd find on Half-Life (Modeled after HL2).
  
• A Barricade Gun - A custom-made weapon that spawns a wooden chest of drawers - One hit needed.
  
• A Sub Machine Gun (SMG) - This SMG is the one you'd find in Half-Life (Modeled after HL2).
  
• Pulse-Rifle - This Pulse-Rifle is the one you'd find in Half-Life (Modeled after HL2).
  
• A SWAT SMG - A custom made weapon that is super acurate, but with poor damage being given. It is modeled after the HL2 Pulse-Rifle.

• A Crossbow - The Crossbow from Half-Life 2.
  
• A Stronger Barricade Gun - This custome-made gun spawns a wardrobe this time - Three hits needed.
  
• A OP Barricade Gun - This custom-made gun spawns a metal dumpster - Impossible to break.
  
• A RPG - The RPG from one of the Half-Life games (most likely HL2).

The ability to kill your team is a feature, the game encourages you to be traitorous - This is here if you want to just annoy your friends or are that desperate for "Frags" (Points).

Pestering for ranks will get you nowhere, so if you do this you can expect to be banned for a bit. :)

Feel free to record and upload videos of the game, but having your server named as a "Official Server" is not allowed and you will be permanently banned for all who who and become staff on it (as a act of treason).

Hold "Shift" as a Monterer to slow yourself down.
