Unturned Survival Guide
In order to survive this deadly land full of zombies and other threats such as people or traps. And you want to live through your first night you’d better know the basics like getting food, water, weapons, vehicles, clothing, ammo, and bandages. This guide will show you all of these basic and advanced things!
There are many places you can get food and water but they are dangerous to go to there are wild like such as deer and pig but they are hard to get without a weapon like a bow or rifle so it is easier to go to the nearest town and search it for its resources. The best way to attain these resources is to sneak through the town by pressing x to crouch and z to go prone you should be able to sneak past the zombies that populate the area no matter what mode you choose from you can always sneak past. Once inside you should look for a grocery store or restaurant for food and a police station or guns shop for weapons and armor.
By now you might have noticed the many vehicles inside the city you CAN use them but be weary using a vehicle requires you to be responsible and smart. To use a vehicle safely you should get the vehicle out and away from any zombies for they can hear the engine when you drive and start it up. The vehicle will need fuel to keep going as every car does so to get gas do what is most obvious go to your nearest gas station and find a gas can. You can find gas stations in 4 different places Scorpion 7, Albertan, Airport, Farm, and Kensington. Most of these places will have a gas can you’re more likely to find a gas can in the city/town gas stations. Once you’ve obtained gas you will also need a car jack to flip the car over if it gets flipped on its back (this happens more than you think) to find one you’ll need to find a mechanics shop they’re usually next door to the gas station. Now that you have all the essentials to keep a car up right and going you’re going to need a blowtorch to fix it don’t worry this is the last thing necessary and can be found in the same place as the car jack. Now that you have everything you need you can successfully drive the car anywhere and anytime you want without worry! You can attach barriers and barbed wire on the vehicle too but that isn’t required but is very helpful.
Now that you have a vehicle weapons food water etc… you can explore the map and know how to survive the numerous enemies and threats but you aren’t ready for the multiplayer world of PvP even more dangerous than alone it is for the best of the best there you will have a harder time finding food water weapons and vehicles also a new threat is here other players most likely better than you will kill you. To become a better and more experienced PvP player you will need some dedication to the skill tab in your inventory these skill will help you survive, attack, and defend yourself a lot easier each category (attack, defense, survival) has its own abilities unlocked using the experienced given by zombies being killed each ability upgraded will increase that ability and make you stronger, faster, and a better cook! ;D
With these abilities and training you will be the strongest foe around and anyone you encounter will be defeated although don’t get too cocky you’re not the only one who knows about these abilities other players will most likely already have them so make sure you have the wits to outsmart and out think you opponent! Another thing that will help you defeat the enemy is to have good weapons and armor as well as tactics the best load out you could possibly have is Forest military helmet, Green Parka, Cargo pants, Forest military vest, Alice Pack or Green Day pack, and green bandana for clothing (optional but helps make your skin green if you have gold edition!) and for weapons You will want a Heart Breaker with Military Drums, A Honey badger,(reason you’d want this is because they both use military magazines which essentially are military drums) military knife and a sniper of your choice make sure to get a suppressor for the sniper if it can’t use a suppressor make sure you’ve tried all the kinds military, and ranger suppressor both are the same thing but the ranger can be used on more advanced guns like the Timber Wolf. For food you will most likely want MRE’s these are the best kind of food since they give you food and water so both bars fill up by a lot! Although if you’d rather have something else you can have whatever food you’d like. Once these items are obtained you are basically a juggernaut the clothing and weapons you carry make you amazingly powerful! The clothing increases you defense so you can withstand bullets a lot better and since they are all green you blend into grass and hills the weapons are not the best but have good aim and lots of ammo and are easy to find ammo for (excluding the timber wolf) And adding on top of that your skills are at max by now you are at the top! Still that doesn’t mean you can just run around and kill everyone you will still need to think smart and use tactics staying up high while scouting areas and if you have a friend with you have them go inside the area you are scouting as you cover them with the sniper from any other players or zombies although by now zombies are nothing to you. With quick thinking and precision you can be a great marksman and will survive for a very VERY long time! Good luck out there and try not to die!

Unturned™ Tips and Tricks
These are just some basic tips and tricks that not many people know about they vary from fast equip to healing teammates to keeping your gear safe from other players that might want your stuff! So listen up these Tips and Tricks may just save your like one day!
This Trick is an important one that has saved my life many times from bleeding out to death! In order to do this Trick you need to open your inventory (G) and simple right click the item you’d like to equip it will automatically equip the item and exit your inventory! I use this Trick to get med kits for sticky situations like when I’m bleeding or a teammate is injured and needs quick medical attention!
This next one is kind of complicated In order to do this one you will need to empty the hands slot in your inventory (G) once it is empty you can place food medical equipment water and things like grenades or flares in these slots. You can now assign items to the numbers at the top of your key board 1-9 as long as they aren’t a weapon it won’t work for weapons. This one has also kept me alive.
This one is Tip and is very helpful if you want to have the most storage space available in game. Spruce wood crates have the most space inside them from any other They also kind of look better than the other ones. With this crate you can store the max amount of space and with a lot of these you can hold a lot of stuff!
This is a Trick and it allows you to hide your Valuables from other players. I personally haven’t used this yet I just don’t really need to hide anything just yet I keep everything on my person. Anyway In order to perform this trick you will need a tree, a melee weapon (chainsaw is the best choice), and a storage crate or safe. Once you have chosen a tree (I suggest you choose one that people most likely won’t cut down) first cut down the tree then place the crate or safe inside the stump wait for the tree to regrow then Ta Da! Your crate/safe is safe!
To do this one sadly you will have to have gold edition of Unturned™ so if you don’t have that then you can skip this because the gold edition costs money. But if you happen to have gold edition then listen up! This trick allows you to look exactly like a zombie so you can hide in the group of zombies from other players! To do this you will need to change you face to the zombie face and remove all hair (facial included) then change your skin color to R(100) G(124) B(100) you will now look like a zombie now you need to disable all cosmetics that can be seen like clothing or hats Camouflage on weapons are ok as long as the weapon you have is inside your inventory and not equipped to 1 or 2 so the people can’t see the gun on you since zombies don’t have weapons it would easily give away your position. Now you need to wear civilian clothing depending on where you plan on stationing yourself you need to wear clothing relatively used by zombies in that area such as the city or military base just wear the clothing used by zombies in that area just make sure it matches. Now that you are disguised as a zombie you can hide among them although you will still have to be sneaky since it doesn’t stop them from noticing you it is meant to be used against players and PvP servers. To use this the best way possible you need to sneak into a crowd of zombies without being noticed and stand up or crawl since those stances are used by zombies like walkers and crawlers you can’t look like a runner since you don’t have that stance. But that doesn’t really matter since you’re only trying to blend in to the horde, Once inside you will blend in like the others this is helpful for when other players enter your area and you need to hide you can also ambush enemies with this they will probably run as they see you pull out a gun and open fire because well have you ever seen a zombie do that? It helps if you have your skills upgraded especially parkour stamina and regeneration since those give you high mobility and speed for long periods of time as well as higher jumping to get over fences and other things that may block your path. Unturned™ How to use servers
So you invite some friends over to play some Unturned™ but you have one problem you don’t know how to make a Lan server or a dedicated server! So let’s start with the Lan server since you need a Lan server anyway in order to make a dedicated server. Ok now first you need to open the document file shortcut and go to a file named programs 32 bit or programs 64 bit once inside look for the file name steam open it go to file common and click on Unturned™ then you will see the files that makes the game work such as textures sounds entities and maps as well as a few other things you should see a shortcut named Unturned exe copy it and paste it to the desktop then right click and go to options then properties it should open up a window showing its data and information as well as where it leads and when it was made ignore all that and click on the bar that has words in it you will need to pan to the right all the way you should see words in “ on the outside of the “ put /batchmode- node graphics -secure server/Name you can replace the secure server with unsecure or Lan server depending on the type of server you want secure server is for anti-hacking and the unsecure server is for hacking or modding the Lan server is for local area network so you can only play those connected to your internet After creating the shortcut key you need to launch it then close it a folder should have been created in the unturned data base named based on the name of the server open it click on server in the file then the commands file open it with note pad or note pad 2.0 once open you can access the commands to the server here you can create a welcome message set the map set the game mode and even set a loadout players spawn with
Commands for the server:
Port (insert 27015 required to work properly)
Set map (insert name of map)
Mode (difficulty)
Welcome (message)
Loadout (enter Id numbers of items with / in-between each number e.g. 10/17/17/17/103)
Pass word (insert pass word not necessary)
These commands are the essentials and basics of the commands if you would like to use more complex commands you will have to learn them another way there are other commands like death messages and drop zones but those are more complicated insert the map the server name the difficulty the port and the welcome message when you have set everything to your liking you can start the server to see if everything worked correctly again make sure you don’t get messages in red letters on the command prompt if you happen to get red letters read them and go back to the server commands and fix it you may have typed something wrong but if everything’s all good then you can close it and open the command prompt (search CMND) type in ip config this will open up a list of ip addresses look for your Gateway ip once you find it open your internet browser and use the search bar type in the default gateway ip and this shoud take you to your router sign in using your routers username and password once inside you’re going to want to find the port tab if your using Xfinity this should be easy if your using other brands like linksy you might want to look up a video on how to port forward using that type of router since all routers have different set ups ok once you have access to the ports make a new one name it whatever you want but for this instance I’m going to call mine Unturned Server insert the default gate way ip and the Ipv4 ip in the assigned locations then insert these ports into the port section 27015 and 27018 since Unturned only supports these ports and no others once your done with that click done or create whatever it is to save the port you have made then close that out but keep the internet open you will need it later now open your firewall settings got to advanced and then go to rules scroll down the many different rules until you find two named Unturned UDP and Unturned TDU it’s just to make sure the rules are there now click new rule and then click (finish when remember) ports 27015,27016,27017,27018 in the ports section then (finish when remember) ok now that everything is plugged in you just need your local ip address to get the ip address I suggest you go to this website Ip chicken it will show your local ip address copy the address and save it somewhere so you won’t forget it now start the server make sure everything is good then open the game go to servers and click local servers yours should pop up but don’t click on it go to direct connect and enter the ip port local ip (include pass word if you added one) click connect and if you did it right you should join your server this tells you it works now you can have a friend join from anywhere around the world as long as they have the ip addresses and the port (pass word too if included) they can join enjoy the server and make it any way you want it to be just remember you need to have the server launched as well as the game itself in order for people to join as well as you.

Unturned™ how to mod
Depending on how you got the game depends on how you mod the game if you got it through steam you can do both ways if you got it elsewhere then you can only download mods off the internet.
Steam Modding
To mod through steam you need to go to the steam workshop for Unturned™ through steam and search for a mod that you want. Then simply subscribe to the mod this is the easiest way to mod the game since subscribing to the mod automatically installs itself to the games mod file once you have subscribed to the mods you want through Steam start the game and play single player since it will only work in single player mode.
Internet Modding
To mod through the internet you should find a safe website to get mod files from then you download them once they are downloaded you will need to access the common file from steamapps file to get there you will need to find either the 64”bit file or the 32”bit file in your documents open them go to the steam file then steamapps then common once in the common file you click on the Unturned™ file then open the file you downloaded from the secure website take the files from the folder and copy them to the assigned file then simply close the documents and launch the game the game will now have the mods installed although you can only use them in single player.

These are the places you can use mods.
Mods may be fun but if you are caught on a secure server using these then you will be banned from that server for either a while or forever either way don’t use mods on servers that don’t support it or you will be banned. Just a fair warning for you to understand it is not ok to use them anywhere. There are consequences for modding illegally.

Unturned™ commands

There are many commands for you to use in Unturned™ inside the game and outside each of these commands will allow you to get items, spawn vehicles, teleport players, and even change the time of the day.
@give Name/ID#/Amount This command allows you to get items using the item ID’s inside the games code.
@vehicle Name/ID# This command allows you to get vehicle’s through the vehicle ID’s found in the games code.
@teleport Name/Name This command allows you to teleport the first name to the second name as long as the second name is in the game.
@day This command allows you to change the time to day.
@night This command allows you to change the time to night.
@slay Name This allows you to kick, kill, and ban a player for an infinite amount of days all at once only use when hackers are about.
@shutdown This command simply shuts down the server/command prompt running the server.
@give can also be used to give other player’s Items using the same command but instead of using your own name use the other players name you want to give items to.
All commands can also be used inside the command prompt outside the game just don’t use the @ symbol instead just type the command.
(example give Name/ID#/amount ) although you can’t give yourself items if you use the command prompt since you’re not in the game.
There are many commands to use in this game now that you know how/what they work/do you can use them just remember don’t abuse the power! Nobody likes an abusive admin!
