Support Heir Espionage Option

Description
INFO
This mod was done on request.
Player and AI can use this diplomatic action.

FEATURES
This mod allows you to support a relative of your dynasty as a heir of another country.
The diplomatic action can be found under the "covert" category.

Conditions

Conditions that have to be met for the diplomatic action to be visible, are:
  • you are not a subject country
  • you have the government type "monarchy", but not "elective monarchy"
  • the specific country is not a subject country
  • the specific country has the goverment type "monarchy", but not "elective monarchy"

Effects

Always

You need to pay some money, so that your relative can hire some mercenaries.
The price depends on the target countries government rank:
  • First Rank: 100 ducats
  • Second Rank: 500 ducats
  • Third Rank: 2500 ducats

You will be able to use the diplomatic action again 10 years afterwards.

The other country will get an event (visible for every nation), which will spawn rebels:
  • 3 pretender rebel armies, if the country has at least 15 provinces (not included: islands and oversea provinces) and 1 additional army, if the country's army is bigger than 200
  • 2 pretender rebel armies, if the country has between 10 and 15 provinces (not included: islands and oversea provinces)
  • 1 pretender rebel army, if the country has less than 10 provinces (not included: islands and oversea provinces)

These rebel armies won't spawn in the capital (unless the country only has 1 province).

Effects, when losing

If the country can kill all pretender rebel armies without losing their capital to them, they "win" against your supported heir.
This will have the following effects:
  • your opinion about the target country decreases by 25 (yearly decay: 5)
  • target country's opinion about you decreases by 25 (yearly decay:5)
  • random effects:
    • 40% chance: you lose 5 prestige
    • 35% chance: you loose 10 prestige and a random rival of the target country gets a new general (3|3|3|1)
    • 25% chance: you loose 15 prestige and a random rival of the target country gets a specific casus belli against the target country

Effects, when winning

If the pretender rebels take the target country's capital, the rebels "win", which will have the following effects:
  • random effects:
    • 30% chance: a (WEAK) relative of your dynasty becomes heir in the target country*
    • 25% chance: a (AVERAGE) relative of your dynasty becomes heir in the target country*
    • 20% chance: a (STRONG) relative of your dynasty becomes heir in the target country*
    • 15% chance: target country becomes junior partner in a personal union with your country
    • 10% chance: target country gets a new heir, but not out of your dynasty, but either out of another countries dynasty (that has a royal marriage with the target country) or a target countries noble (if the targer country doesn't have any other marriages)
      • in the first case, the other country can establish a personal union over the target, which you then can contest by war

* additional: your countries opinion about the target country and the target country's opinion about you increase by 25 (yearly decay: 5)

If the target country becomes a junior partner in a personal union during the conflict, the following will happen:
  • the target country's overlord's opinion about you decreases by 25 (yearly decay: 5)
  • your opinion about the target country's overlord decreases by 25 (yearly decay: 5)
  • you get a specific casus belli against the target country's overlord

If you become junior partner in a personal union or a subject country during the conflict, the following will happen:
  • random effects:
    • 20% chance: you lose 15 prestige
    • 30% chance: you get a specific casus belli agaist the target country and lose 10 prestige
    • 50% chance: you get an "independence" casus belli against your overlord and lose 5 prestige

localisations
  • english localisation included
  • german localisation included

@LimonenZitrone Could you make this mod but for sponsoring religious rebels of your religion in another country?

@Stuff_the_Second: Weird, would have thought that making the other country a union and triggering the succession crisis would also work for subjects. I'll fix it.

*nation via event,* (For part 1)

Well it turns out that the nation picked to contest was kildare. This wouldnt have been a problem except that Kiladre is a vassal subject of England. This caused me to end up in war with England as the leading nation of the opposing side due to England still being independent.

I can't peace them out as England is target of the succession war and I can't peace with kildare becuase they are a subject of England resulting in me being stuck in a war that cannot end.

You need to add a check to make sure that one of the countries that get s tied in a possible succession when using support heir isn't a subject of the target nation. I have run into a such a situation with England (the target nation) and Kildare (a Vassal of England)

I used the support heir diplomatic action on England and the rebels that spawned managed to win giving me the event with various possibilities for the outcome. I got the one where another nation via (presumably one that has a royal marriage with the target nation) contests the succession and I have to wage war with them.

@denizudk: In theory it should be possible for them, ya.

From What I see in mods files, there's nothing preventing Muslim's from getting the CB or the event after your relative won.

Is it possible for %15 chance of target country becomes junior partner in a personal union possible for Muslims?

I'm playing as Ottomans, Support Heir option shows up to me.

I'm wondering, If my relative succeeds, whatever I have a chance to have the target became junior partner in a personal union?

Normally Muslim countries don't have a personal union system. Does this make it possible?
