Introduction
I'm gonna guess the main reason you came to this guide is only because you're having some performance troubles while playing the game. Even after you set it to it's lowest settings, the game still runs like a slideshow. After changing this one part of the games engine, your potato laptop/desktop will run this game just fine!

NOTE: All Info in this guide comes from the following video:

So, if it's tl;dr for you, then just watch this video.
^ Read the title of the guide ^
Batman: Arkham Origins can use 3 different versions of DirectX. it can use 9, 10, and 11. It has 11 on by default and the only way to change it is by going into the games files. Go to the SinglePlayer or Online folder -> BMGame -> Config -> BmEngine. Open it with notepad and find AllowD3D11 or AllowD3D10.

NOTE: In-Order to apply this to both Single Player and Online (If people still play that) you have to do this in both folders.

For 11 (If you have a good enough computer to run it): It's already on m8
For 10 (For moderately decent computers): Set AllowD3D11 to False and AllowD3D10 to True
For 9 (For Potatos and Toasters): Set both Allow D3D11 and AllowD3D10 to False

ANOTHER NOTE: IF THERE ISN'T A BMENGINE CONFIG, THAT MEANS YOU HAVEN'T LAUNCHED THE GAME!

And that's all you need to do! Tell me in the comments if it worked for you. Thanks for reading!
