It might sound stupid/basic and you might be thinking "wtf, why did you post this ♥♥♥♥, I know why I am here!" Blah blah blah!

The Games you must own and have installed are GMOD and Counter Strike Source (Not Counter Srike Global Offencive!) Both of which are available on steam for a resonable price!

Brief description on what error your getting

After countless hours of not finding any real solutions online/forums to help me with this error in console:-

This means your server needs to find the location of your props/models you are using on your server and current map. This can be very frustrating I know!

This guide WILL help you, like it has with many others over the past 2/3 years posted in another part of the forums.

I originally posted this in a help section here on Steam (Problems and bugs within the GMOD forums) when I couldn't find any real walkthough help (Because I like step by step help) so I found the solution myself putting peices together!

What folders you need and where to find them

Ok the first folder you need open will be your Server folder.

Example 32 bit system -

C:\Program Files\My GMOD Server Folder\

Example 64 bit windows system -

C:\Program Files (x86)\MyGMOD Server Folder\

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next folder you need will be your cstrike folder.

This folder will be located at the following location on your drive (May be slightly different C drive, D drive E drive and so on but location of the files are the same.)

Example -

By default it should be "C:\Programs Files\steam\steamapps\common\counter-Strike Source\cstrike"

Again you may have a different drive so another Example -

"D:\Programs Files\steam\steamapps\common\counter-Strike Source\cstrike" "E:\Programs Files\steam\steamapps\common\counter-Strike Source\cstrike"

See image 2 for my Example location.

Step 1 - Step by instructions

So to get past the issue you may be having on your private or public server, with the following errors in your console, following these few steps to help solve your problem!

Step 1! - Copy your "cstrike" folder from (My Example) "C:\Programs Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\counter-Strike Source\cstrike"

Step 2

Step 2! - Place a copy of your CSTRIKE folder into your "servers" "garrysmod" folder (My Example server in this case - (C:\gmod\garrysmod)

Step 3

Step 3! - Then go into your servers .cfg files and find the file "mount.cfg" (My Example server location - "C:\gmod\garrysmod\cfg\mount.cfg") Right click the file and OPEN with NOTEPAD or NOTEPAD ++

Step 4

Step 4! - Open the file, you will see something similar to this:-

As you can see, our problem lies here! Remove "//" from infront of your "cstrike" and "tf" lines, by default the two "//" lines will be in place, thus preventing your server loading all models you have on your map(s), thus causing you to be able to walk through your models and or props!

Step 5

Now where it says "cstrike" "C:\Steamcmd\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike SourceDedicated Server\cstrike". Type the location of the cstrike file you just copied to your servers folder.What you type in the red circle should be the location of YOUR servers folder location and where you put the cstrike folder

Step 6

Step 6! - To clarify, you need to type the path where your servers cstrike folder is copied too! (Which you just copied into your servers garrysmod folder) - My Example is "C:\ProgramFiles\MyserversFolder\cstrike"

Final step SAVE!

Finally - Now that you have typed thre location, Save this file (mount.cfg) by going to File and save, if it asks do you wish to overwrite, click YES, close it.

Result should be something like this (Not all files will be the same as your dedicated server as I have other mods ect installed)

Now Start/Restart your Dedicated private or public server!

Hi @Noctis, on rented servers im unsure my friend, I think you would need the server compant to do this for you if you send them a support email explaining the situation your having and pointing them to this topic so they can see what you need help with.
