Intro
Hi there, and thanks for reading this guide. Before you scroll down any further (especially for the Perfect achievement), I highly recommend trying to figure everything out for yourself. I'll send you a little forgiveness though if you're just here to find out about the Unusual achievements listed below (especially the Blank achievement).

I know some of the instructions for some of the achievements might seem a tad weird, but try not to read too deep into them (unless you really want to of course :P) — they really do work if you can follow through with them.

What's covered is what you see in the sidebar by this guide. What's not covered are things such as the story because Parallax doesn't really have a story. If by some rare chance I left something out, please leave a comment below. I hope this guide helps you.

Gameplay Mechanics
This is just a preliminary step to understanding my guide as well as this game. Let's start with the definitions of everything (NB I tried to stick as much as possible to the official terminology of everything):

This is a Portal:

This is how you travel from the light side to the dark side and vice versa. Portals can be rotated. First seen in chapter A.

This is a Terminal:

This is how you control the rotation of objects, be they platforms or portals, or even another terminal. Only one terminal can be used at a time, so if you see your crosshair spinning, that means a terminal is in use — a move is being made. First seen in chapter A.

This is a Booster:

These will launch you into the air. You cannot airstrafe while airborne. First seen in chapter B.

This is a Laser:

Actually here we see four of them blocking the player off directly from the goal. These will instantly kill you if you touch them. First seen in chapter C.

This is a road that changes your gravity:

Don't forget which way is up, as it changes! First seen in chapter D.

This is a platform that changes your gravity:

See above — this is just a different way of doing something I will call "twisting."

If anything else you notice is not listed here, that's because it's explained pretty well in-game.

Completion Achievements
Normal progression

Simple as Black and White: Complete all 8 puzzles in chapter A and master the basics.

Confidence Boost: Complete all 8 puzzles in chapter B and master the booster.

A Shocking Development: Complete all 8 puzzles in chapter C and master the lasers.

Full Gravity of the Situation: Complete all 8 puzzles in chapter D and beat Parallax.

Other

Laser Hair Removal: should be gotten as you solve C8, where a laser passes over your head.

Spider Pig, Spider Pig: should be gotten as you turn upside down in D1.

Persistence Achievements
Sean Bean: Die 20 times. You can die either via lasers or by jumping into the abyss.

Monochromatized: travel through 500 portals.

Terminal Illness: make 300 moves. Shouldn't be too hard if you're OK with making mistakes.

Unusual Achievements
No Escape

This achievement revolves around trying to trap yourself. In Parallax, it is virtually impossible to get trapped and have to restart a puzzle from the beginning. However there is one exception: puzzle D7. In D7, there's a structure in the center that kinda looks like a Ferris wheel, only it's constructed out of lasers and a ring of gravity changers. At some point you'll end up walking on the outside of this "wheel." It is possible to get trapped inside the wheel with careful airstrafing. Do it and you'll see this little running pixel figure. If you don't look at the pixel figure from inside the "wheel," you likely won't get the achievement.
→ Note: you can get this achievement and still complete the puzzle in the minimum amount of moves.

Style

OK I know the achievement description is complicated and will leave you searching for the nearest place to get the achievement, but it seems there's really only one place that fits all the criteria: puzzle D8. Here's the setup:

1) You need to fall and cross a rift, right? The free-floating portal in the center of the puzzle will do the trick.

2) You need to die by lasers too, so hit the correct terminal to gate the portal with lasers.

3) Now do your thing to reach the place where the goal is, but don't actually touch it. Instead, hop onto that little rotating platform. You'll be rotated, and by then you can jump onto that T-shaped platform that previously served as some sort of turnstile, look down and see the portal.

4) Ah, but there's still something in the way. Hit the terminal nearby to clear your path:

5) Let's pause to go through the checklist: will travel (fall) 5 meters: check. Will cross a rift: check. Will die by lasers: check. Won't touch the ground (or any platform for that matter): check. No using boosters: check. The last thing we need to do is...

6) ...and spin around 360° or more while falling. As noted in the image, you'll find this easiest to do by just walking (not jumping) forward into the laser-covered portal and then spin around as you're falling (no movement, just looking).

Blank

A vaguely described achievement that requires you to do something most unusual unless your native tongue is Russian: set the language to Russian. You'll have to do that via the Steam settings: right-click on Parallax in your library → Properties → Language tab → Select Russian (Русский). Next, go into the game's options to check that the language is Russian (Русский). Once you've done that, you should see a special button at the bottom of the Gameplay settings (the one with the fireball thingy, remember?) titled "акдов." This is Parallax's well-hidden vodka mode ("акдов" is "водка" backwards, which translates as "vodka"), where the music slows down and the in-game gameplay is...something you'll have to experience yourself ;) Finally, to actually get the achievement, you need to complete any puzzle you want in this vodka mode. If you're daring, you'll play a level in chapters C or D for the achievement!

The Perfect Achievement: About and Strategies
This is a special achievement that will test your will to complete this game. As such, it is a fairly rare achievement. It requires you to complete all 32 puzzles in the game in the minimum amount of moves possible. FIguring this out entirely on your own is of course the most rewarding, but for those who are truly stuck, I'll offer some general strategies to try first before spoiling the details so that you can still own those moments when you solved the puzzle perfectly:
  • Work the puzzle backwards.
  • Getting a feel for the order of operations is important. Occasionally two or three steps might be doable in any order, but not often!
  • Most (but not all!) of the time, each terminal will have some use.
  • I know it's weird, but it actually works, so trust me on this one: if there's a terminal really really clost to the start (i.e. next to or behind your starting place), hit it before doing anything else.
  • Often you will have to retrace your steps. Don't be afraid to move backward, as it is necessary to move forward.
  • Look at what each of the terminals does. If a terminal seems to do nothing in later puzzles, that's likely because there's a mechanism that you need to rotate from a different terminal first.
  • If at first you don't succeed, think a little harder and try again. It may be possible you just did a couple of redundant moves on the same thing somewhere while trying to figure out the solution.
  • Long wires suggest some degree of reflexive time pressure, and the reflexive moves it suggests are probably simpler than you might think. Take this into account when making your moves.
  • Many puzzles have a simple mechanism that is at the crux of preventing you from reaching your goal. Focus on trying to deal with it as efficiently as possible.
  • Tip: You can see how many actions you've taken as well as how many are required to pass the puzzle at a minimum next to the pause menu. You can also view this counter while you're playing by enabling the "Show Actions" option (under Gameplay). Use this to plan accordingly.

In what follows below, I have catalogued the routes that will lead the minimal paths, but you may find that order isn't important 100% of the time (e.g. sometimes two steps can be done in either order). When in doubt though, follow the steps as listed.

And just so you can't say I didn't warn you...

(does not apply to anyone who's already gotten the Perfect achievement)

The Perfect Achievement: Chapter A [SPOILERS!]
A1

Solve the puzzle. Should be easy since this is the main tutorial lavel.

A2

Solve the puzzle.

A3

Solve the puzzle. Make sure to use the terminal only once.

A4

OK this is where it starts getting complex, so from here on out I'll provide some screenshots. For this puzzle, all the terminals are on the dark side and there are three of them. The process:

1) Head through the portal and hit terminal 3.

2) Head through the portal you just turned and continue forward until you see terminal 2. Hit it.

3) Backtrack and hit terminal 3 again.

4) Head through the portal you just turned and continue forward until you see terminal 1. Hit it.

5) Now just make your way to the goal.

By the way, from here on out in this guide, each step except the last will end in an action. The last step will just tell you how to reach the goal at the end.

A5

All the work for this one is done on the light side of the puzzle. Just hit terminals 2 and 3 and make your way to the goal.

A6

In this puzzle there is only one terminal on each side, and so for this puzzle (and a few others where I don't provide a screenshot), I will refer to the terminals in simple terms such as "light side terminal" and "dark side terminal."

For this puzzle, you may have noticed that the dark side terminal has a long wire. This is of course for a reason.

1) Head through the left portal, hit the dark side terminal, then run back through the portal you came from and run into the other one.

2) If done right, you should have seen the portal turn before your eyes on the dark side. Go through it and hit the light side terminal.

3) All clear. Now get to the goal.

A7

Although this puzzle resembles puzzle A5, it actually has a terminal on the dark side, as well as three light side terminals as shown:

1) Hit all three light side terminals.

2) Step onto the moving platform and make your way through the three portals you just adjusted to the dark side terminal. Hit it.

3) Backtrack to where you first started and hit light side terminals 1 and 3.

4) Now go back onto the platform and through all four portals to reach the goal.

A8

Here there is one dark side terminal, as well as two light side terminals as shown:

1) Hit light side terminal 2, just behind you from where you start.

2) Head through the portal, hit the dark side terminal and head through the portal you just adjusted.

3) Hit light side terminal 1.

4) Make your way back to the start without hitting any terminals.

5) Repeat step 1.

6) You should now have a clear path to the goal. It might not seem straightforward though since you have to travel through two portals.

The Perfect Achievement: Chapter B [SPOILERS!]
B1

This is an introductory puzzle to the chapter's themed mechanic: boosters. They have some semblance to a common mechanic in racing games. Touch them and they will launch you into the air, and onto a platform if it's there.

1) Step onto the booster and hit the light side terminal.

2) Use the booster again to go through the portal.

3) Repeat step 1 for the dark side. You'll end up touching two boosters.

4) Repeat step 2 for the dark side to reach the goal.

B2

1) Head through two portals and go hit the light side terminal.

2) There are three portals to the dark side. Head through the one that leads you to the booster in the puzzle (but don't actually touch the booster) and hit the terminal there.

3) Use the booster and head back through the portal. Go hit the light side terminal again.

4) Again make your way to the booster on the dark side. Use it, and hit the terminal once you've landed.

5) To wrap it up, head through the portal and hit the light side terminal one last time.

6) Off to the goal!

B3

Complications start setting in now. There are two dark side terminals and two light side terminals. You also need a minimum of 9 moves — more than you've ever needed before.

1) Hit the terminal next to where you start.

2) Head through the (left) portal and hit the dark side terminal there.

3) The only useful thing you can do now: go back to the start and hit the terminal.

4) Head through the (right) portal, onto a booster, through another portal and hit the (light side) terminal there. This terminal rotates a vertical platform.

5) Now go back to the start and hit the terminal again. You shouldn't need to pass through any portals this time.

6) Go through the portal and hit the dark side terminal there.

7) Use the nearest booster on the light side, head through the portal, and hit the dark side terminal there. This terminal is at the crux of the solution.

8) Back through the portal from whence you came. go back to the start one last time and hit the terminal again.

9) Use the booster, and then hit the terminal to unblock the booster's path, as you'll need it.

10) By now you should have a clear path to reach the goal. Your path will involve a booster and two portals.

B4

This has a slowly rotating part on the light side the puzzle (initially behind you). This is not the first time you will encoutner automatically rotating parts though. All the terminals are located on the dark side.

1) You'll notice two stacked portals in the center, as well as two boosters on each side. Take one of them to go through the top portal and on over to the dark side. Once you're over there, go hit the terminal.

2) Alright, now head back over to the light side. This time you'll head through the bottom portal and hit the terminal there.

3) Back to the light side, through the top portal again, and hit the terminal there.

4) Back to the light side, through the bottom portal again, and hit the terminal there.

5) Now to wrap it up: back to the light side, through the top portal again, and hit the terminal there.

6) Then it's back to the light side, through the bottom portal again, and onto the booster to reach the goal.

B5

In this puzzle, you have two rotating platforms with boosters on them on the dark side. You'll also need to move a vertical part twice on the light side. If you're trying this on your own, watch carefully to make sure you're not hitting a terminal that does nothing. This puzzle has three dark side terminals and three light side terminals, all of which are used at one point or another.

1) This first move involves some reflex. You will need to hit the terminal behind you (terminal 3) and then run onto the booster and through the portal.

2) Once you're on the dark side, hit the terminal there (terminal 4).

3) Head back over to the light side, go through the other portal, and hit the terminal on the dark side (terminal 5).

4) Repeat step 1.

5) Hit terminals 4 and 6 on the dark side.

6) Use the booster to get over to the other platform. Then head through the portal and hit the
terminal there (terminal 2)

7) Now back through the portal and onto a booster. Hit terminal 6 on the dark side.

8) Repeat step 5; this time you'll be hitting terminal 1.

9) Back through the portal, onto the center booster and over to the goal.

B6

This one is really a matter of getting the portals all aligned correctly. The final step is where the reflex comes in. There are three terminals on the light side, but only one on the dark side.

1) Go through the portal without hitting any terminal. Then use the booster on the dark side to get back to a different portion on the light side. Once you're there, then you hit the terminal (terminal 3).

2) Now use the booster and go hit terminal 2.

3) Back over to the dark side. Make your way to the dark side terminal, hit it, and then get back the the light side.

4) Hit terminal 2 again.

5) Repeat the first two steps (steps 1 and 2).

6) Get ready... you're gonna finally hit terminal 1 and run into the portal and along the pathways...

7) ...and if your timing is good enough, you should be able to hit the booster that will propel you to the goal.

B7

In this puzzle, you'll have one light side terminal. You'll also have three dark side terminals available to you, but you'll only need two of them.

1) From the start, turn right and head through the left portal. Hit terminal 2.

2) Go back through the portal and hit the light side terminal.

3) Backtrack your way to the start (using terminal 2 along the way). Then head through the portal that appears to be on the way to the goal and hit the terminal there (terminal 1).

4) Repeat steps 1 and 2.

5) Backtrack to the start again (as in step 3).

6) Keep going straight through the portal, onto the booster with a clear path, and through the portal to the goal.

Isn't it strange that the third terminal was unused?

B8

This is one of the more complex puzzles in the game, with many moving parts. As usual, I've labeled the light and dark side terminals accordingly (spare one terminal located high up):

1) Immediately hit terminal 1. Then head through the floating portal in the center of the puzzle.

2) On the dark side, use the booster to go over (not through) the portal and hit terminal 4.

3) Still on the dark side, go over the floating portal and into the still one. Hit the terminal there (terminal 2).

4) Make your way back to where you started without hitting any terminals. Then get onto the moving platform and go hit the terminal up high. This should set the goal platform right side up. This terminal is also at the crux of the puzzle.

5) Backtrack to where you previously hit terminal 2 and hit it again.

6) On the dark side, go hit terminal 4, and then terminal 5.

7) Make your way back to where you started again without hitting any terminals. Then repeat step 1.

8) Still on the dark side, go over the floating portal and into the still one (different from step 3). Hit the terminal there (terminal 3).

9) To finish it off, go through the floating portal from the dark side. You should now be back on the light side. Hop on to the platform (opposite platform from where you started) and waltz on over to the goal.

Curiously, the non-floating middle portal is not used at all.

The Perfect Achievement: Chapter C (part 1) [SPOILERS!]
C1

Now lasers enter the picture. I suspect they were meant to add a bit more to the platforming perspective of the game, but when you look again, it's really just another puzzle element. The first puzzle in chapter C isn't too bad, but beware, as some of the most complex puzzles are buried in here.

1) Head through the right portal, onto the booster and hit the terminal. You should see the floating portal in the middle have its accessibility changed.

2) Get onto the booster to go through said floating portal (back to the light side) and you'll end up where you started. Now head through the left portal and hit the terminal.

3) Use the floating portal to get back to the dark side so that you can pass through the portal you just turned. Hit the terminal (on the light side).

4) Use the boosters to get back to the dark side via the floating portal again. Head through the non-floating portal (you shouldn't have been through it before, and it's the only accessible non-floating portal). Hit the terminal.

5) Go back to the dark side and hit the terminal you hit in the first step. You should see the floating portal in the middle have its accessibility changed again.

6) At last, you can use the booster on the dark side to go through the floating portal and straight to the goal.

Notice how the whole puzzle revolves around you trying to get to the terminal that will flip the central, floating portal. That's going to be a rather common theme, trying to reach the one terminal that flips the part(s) that you need to reach the goal.

C2

If you're trying to solve this one alone, you'll need to think about the timing of your moves very carefully. It is a common mistake to hit the terminal behind the laser on the dark side too soon. That's actually the last terminal you want to hit. In this puzzle, there are two light side terminals and three dark side terminals as labeled:

1) Go through the portal on your right. Continue forward through the dark side back to the light side, past the rotating lasers, and hit both terminals (terminals 1 and 2).

2) Head through the left portal to the dark side and hit the terminal there (terminal 3).

3) Go back to the light side and hit terminal 2.

4) Make your way back to the start without hitting any terminals. Get onto the booster there, which will then take you through a floating portal to the dark side. Hit the terminal there (terminal 4).

5) OK now this is important: get onto the booster, walk PAST the newly opened path which was previously blocked with a laser, and go through the portal to the light side. Now hit terminal 2 again.

6) Repeat step 2.

7) Right. NOW go hit the terminal on the dark side that was previously behind a laser (terminal 5). If this isn't your last move, you screwed up.

8) And now the floating portals should be aligned in such a way that you can get back to the start and use the booster to land on the goal.

As a moral in Antichamber says, "Patience has its own rewards." That and some degree of modesty.

C3

This puzzle has a part where you get to do some actual platforming for a change. Don't let the symmetry confuse you though, as there are two places in the game where two terminals do the same thing (see below). The main goal will be to get the goal right side up, as it starts upside down (as in B8), and the terminal to do that is past some lasers and requires you to hop between the moving circles.

1) Hit the terminal right next to you (right next to where you start; not numbered).

2) Make your way to the dark side, hop onto the booster there, and flip the portal using the terminal nearby.

3) Go through the portal to the light side, and hit the terminal that flips the platform (the platform has a branching path controlled by two terminals, one of which is not used; the other I've labeled as terminal 2).

4) Go through the portal to the dark side and flip it again.

5) Go through the portal you just flipped, make your way back to the start and hit the terminal there.

6) Backtrack to the terminal you hit in step 2 and hit it again.

7) Go through the portal and hit terminals 1 and 2.

8) Head back through the portal, and hit one of the terminals that controls the platform (terminals labeled 4; either side is fine).

9) All's clear for platforming! Get back to the light side so you can hop (literally!) past some lasers and hit the terminal there. Superextraspecial bonus points if you can make it out alive while moving in between the lasers the whole time!!

10) Last step: go back to the dark side and flip the platform again (via terminal 4). Now you can reach the goal that you just flipped.

C4

If I had to put a title to this puzzle, it would be "Bonk!" You'll see why as I describe the process of solving it. The main goal of this puzzle will be to clear the lasers from the central portal so that you can fly off a booster and reach the goal. Despite there being only 5 terminals (2 dark side, 3 light side), this puzzle is surprisingly complex, requiring 14 moves — the most you've encountered so far.

1) Hit the terminal behind you (near the start).

2) Go through the portal and hit the terminal with a short wire (terminal 2, with one of the shortest in the entire game if I'm not mistaken).

3) Go back to where you started and hit the terminal there.

4) Use the booster to reach the dark side. Head through the non-floating portal and follow the path to the end. Hit the terminal there and backtrack as fast as you can before a laser blocks your path. (By the way, if you noticed that the wire is long for this terminal, it's just so you can backtrack quickly — no other purpose for it).

5) Back on the dark side, hit the terminal with a long wire on it (terminal 1). Wait............

6) Good. Now hit it again and run through (using the booster).

7) Hit the terminal near the start again.

8) Use the booster to reach the dark side. Head through the (other) non-floating portal and follow the path to the end. Hit the terminal there and backtrack (no rush this time).

9) Make your way back to the start without hitting any terminals. Once you're there, hit the terminal (yet again!).

10) Repeat step 4. The lasers should be clear by this point. Now all that's left to do is align the portals.

11) And to do that, we need to repeat steps 5 and 6.

12) Hit the terminal by the start one last time.

13) Repeat step 2.

14) All clear! Now you can fly off the booster on the light side (finally) and reach the goal.

The Perfect Achievement: Chapter C (part 2) [SPOILERS!]
C5

It should almost go without saying this is the most complex puzzle in the entire game: 16 moves, 11 terminals, and 4 obstacles you need to correct on the light side. Most of the work, however, is done on the dark side. This is also the first puzzle to use a terminal to flip a terminal.

1) Go hit terminal 2.

2) Go through the portal you just turned, make your way across the platform with boosters on it (let's call this the "main platform" for convenience) to another platform that moves. Go through that portal (it's opposite to the one you just turned) and hit the terminal there (it's on the light side and clears a laser for you to reach the goal).

3) Get back to the main platform and touch the booster that you can touch. Go hit terminal 6.

4) Now get back to main platform again and go hit terminal 5.

5) Make your way to terminal 4 and hit it (NB you won't be able to backtrack directly due to the spinning lasers).

6) Repeat step 3.

7) Now go hit terminal 7 (you should end up needing a lift on the moving platform to reach it). That's one more part cleared to reach the goal.

8) Make your way across two boosters, turn left and hit terminal 3.

9) For a brief moment, we'll cross over to the light side through a portal and hit terminals 2, 1, and then 2 again (in that order). If you find yourself coming in through the portal you just came out of, you screwed up.

10) Go through the portal and hit terminal 5 (it shouldn't be far from the portal you just traversed).

11) Repeat step 5-7. Almost there — we just have one more part to clear before the goal is accesible.

12) Get back to the main platform and to another platform that moves (it's opposite the one you encountered in step 2). Go through that portal (it's opposite to the one you just turned) and hit the terminal there. It'll clear the other laser for you to finally be able to reach the goal.

13) At last, you should be able to get back the light side and reach the goal without getting killed or blocked. Just be careful to head right after you hit the booster and not left. Otherwise you'll end up having to hit an extra terminal.

Last interesting note about this puzzle: the main platform can be rotated from four different terminals, but only two of those will be useful since they not only change where you can step onto it, but also the direction of the boosters. If you end up flipping the platform but the direction of the boosters remains the same, you screwed up.

C6

This one resembles B4 in that it has rotating parts. It also has an upper set of portals and a lower set of portals. There is only one terminal on the light side, but you will need to look up to see it — something which doesn't always come naturally to players.

1) Go through one of the lower portals. Make your way to the terminal and hit it.

2) Now go back through the portal and back to the start. Hop onto the booster (when clear) and through the upper portal, make your way to the terminal and hit it.

3) Go back through the portal from whence you came and repeat step 1. You'll be hitting a different terminal.

4) Repeat step 2. This terminal is actually located on the light side, and you'll have to pass through a second portal. Don't see it? Look up! This terminal clears the lasers on the light side and is at the crux of the puzzle.

5) Backtrack through steps 1-3. If done right, you should have the upper set of portals aligned in such a way...

6) ...that you can use both boosters on the light side to reach the goal.

C7

This puzzle has what I like to call "the laser fence." It has one terminal that turns 6 things through 5 junctions (as opposed to the usual 2-4), meaning you're going to hear a lot of high pitched whistles if you have the sound on. Although there's a lot going on on the dark side, the puzzle isn't that complicated, especially considering what you saw back at C5. The crux of the puzzle will be to get the goal turned right side up.

Also, as I'm sure you've noticed by now, there isn't much to confuse when it comes to terminal locations, but in this puzzle, the portals can be easily confused, so I've labeled them accordingly:

And here's a dark side perspective of the same portals:

1) Hit the terminal nearby where you start, keeping in mind that the nearest terminal may be behind you.

2) Go through portal C and hit the terminal (thereby changing the "laser fence").

3) Hit the terminal nearby the start again.

4) Go through portal B, work your way across the "laser fence" via boosters, and hit the terminal.

5) Work your way back across the boosters and back to where you started. Then repeat step 2.

6) Repeat step 3.

7) Go through portal C, work your way across the "laser fence" via different boosters, and hit the terminal just through portal B.

8) Go through the portal you just flipped (portal A) and hit the terminal. The goal should now be right side up.

9) Work your way back across the "laser fence," through the portal (portal C), and back to the start. Hit the terminal nearby again.

10) Finally, repeat step 2.

11) To reach the goal, go through portals C and then B, across the "laser fence," and then (finally) through portal D.

C8

A little reminder: this is where you can get the "Laser Hair Removal" achievement. It'll happen on the way to your first terminal here. The crux of this puzzle will be to turn the one portal that leads to the goal the right way around.

1) From the start, head to the right, under the lasers (ACHIEVEMENT GET) and through the portal. Then, on the dark side, take the left booster, head through the portal to the light side and hit the terminal.

2) Back through the portal, next use a booster/platform in the central area to launch yourself through the central floating portal. You should wind up back at the start. Now head to the left, under the lasers again, and through the portal. Hit the terminal on the dark side as soon as you get through.

3) Back through the portal from whence you came, now keep going straight, through the portal you just turned, and hit the terminal there (dark side).

4) Backtrack through step 3, hit the terminal you hit in step 2, and use the booster on the dark side. Now go through the portal and hit the terminal on the light side as soon as you get through.

5) Back through the portal, next use the booster/platform in the central area again to launch yourself through the central floating portal. You should wind up back at the start again. Now head to the right, through the portal, and hit the terminal without stepping on any boosters.

6) Now use the other booster/platform in the central area to launch yourself through the central floating portal. This time you should find yourself on a little platform above the main ground. Look up to find a terminal and hit it.

7) Now it's really a matter of how to set things up as as to access the goal. To do that, go back
under the moving lasers, through the portal, and get on the left booster again. Through the portal to the light side and hit the terminal.

8) Repeat step 2 (except that you won't wind up exactly at the start).

9) Repeat steps 3 and 4.

10) Make your way back to the start again. Now go hit the terminal near the goal. It'll flip the portal allowing you to reach it.

11) Once you've done that, you should have a clear path to get to the goal. I'll leave it to you to find that path.

And now congratulate yourself for powering through chapter C! One more set of 8 puzzles to go and then you will beat the game.

The Perfect Achievement: Chapter D (part 1) [SPOILERS!]
D1

Welcome to an introduction of a new concept — Parallax's signature concept, in fact. If you get motion sickness when playing this puzzle, turn around. Otherwise, turn around and upside down, and solve the puzzle. For this chapter, I'll call anytime you change gravity "twisting," so as not to confuse it with the flipping and turning of other things.

This puzzle has only 3 portals, which I'll label to avoid confusion:

1) From the start, head into the nearest portal (portal C) and hit the terminal.

2) Back out of the portal and hit the terminal nearby.

3) Now head through portal A so you can hit the terminal through there. Back out of the portal.

4) Hit the (light side) terminal nearby portal C again.

5) Ready for an achievement (and for the wild surprise)? Twist your way upside down (ACHIEVEMENT GET: Spider Pig, Spider Pig) and head through portal B. Keep going until you reach a terminal at the end and hit it (it should be on the light side).

6) Backtrack to portal C, go into it, and hit the terminal.

7) Back out of the portal and hit the terminal nearby portal A (I would say "repeat step 2" but the terminal had gotten relocated by the time you reach this step).

8) Twist, turn, and portal your way to the goal (using portals B and C).

D2

This is another puzzle where you'll be doing almost all of the work to solve it on the dark side. This is also much simpler as far as the puzzles in general go: only one light side terminal and three dark side terminals.

1) Head through the portal to the dark side and hit the terminal on the dark side.

2) Now head through the portals you just flipped and hit the terminal. Wait this one out............

3) Good. Now hit it again and this time get onto the booster. Don't jump once you've landed, as you'll eventually get turned upside down.

4) Alright, now hop onto one of the automatically moving platforms and hit the terminal along the way. Take good note of what the terminal does (it flips a portal), as you will need to go through that portal next.

5) There is a little path to get you right side up again so you can go through that portal I talked
about in the previous step. This is when you hit the light side terminal. Once you've done that, make your way back to the start.

6) Repeat steps 1-4 (you're not going to go through the portal mentioned in step 4 again though).

7) To finish it off, hit the terminal that flips the two portals that you hit in the first step.

8) Now you can continue through the portals in such a way that will lead you to the goal.

D3

When I saw this, one of the first thoughts that came to my mind: Möbius strip. Except it's actually a double-sided surface where the gravity changes easily. Although the symmetry can get to be confusing here, the solution is actually very straightforward.

1) Walk/twist upwards go through the portal and hit the terminal.

2) Continue forward through the portal you just turned, twist twice, head through the portal and hit the terminal.

3) Back through the portal, twist twice, head through the portal and hit the terminal on your way to the portal on the opposite side.

4) You're back on the light side, right? OK, twist twice, go through the portal, and hit the terminal.

5) Repeat step 2. Believe it or not, these are actually different portals, and you're actually hitting a different terminal from what you hit in step 2.

6) Up until this point, all the terminals you've hit have been on the dark side. Now find your way to a terminal on the light side and hit it. This will clear some lasers from the goal.

7) Now make your way to the goal without hitting any additional terminals.

D4

Ready for another complex one? Well, I'll be honest: it actually isn't all that complex, but it does require a lot of backtracking, so be patient with yourself. The crux of this puzzle is to get the platform with the booster on it in the correct orientation so that you can fly to the goal.

1) Move past the moving portal, head into the stationary one, twist, head back out of the portal, take a turn past the moving portal again, and continue forward until you reach the terminal. Hit it. Remember this terminal (terminal 1), as we will return to it often.

2) Move past the moving portal again, head into the stationary one, and continue on the dark side to the end of the path, where you will see a terminal (terminal 3). Hit it.

3) Backtrack to terminal 1 and hit it again.

4) Repeat step 2. You'll be going through the other stationary portal and hitting terminal 2 this time.

5) Backtrack to the moving portal. Go through it this time and follow the path along the dark side, through a portal to the light side, and hit the terminal there. This terminal will perform the first of three flips to the platform with the booster on it.

6) Backtrack through steps 5-2 (in that order).

7) Go through the moving portal and follow the path along the dark side, through a portal to the light side, and hit the terminal there. This terminal will be different from the one you hit in step 5 and will perform the second of three flips to the platform with the booster on it.

8) Backtrack to terminal 1 (but don't actually hit it), and repeat steps 2-5. The third of three flips should have been performed on the platform with the booster on it by now.

9) The pain of backtracking is about to end. Make your way to terminal 1 and hit it for the last time.

10) You should now be able to make your way back to where you started: right side up, but now with a booster to fly to the goal.

The Perfect Achievement: Chapter D (part 2) [SPOILERS!]
D5

Like D3, try not to let the symmetry confuse you, as this puzzle is also fairly straightforward. It's also incredibly easy to see the crux of the puzzle (you're literally staring at it): get to the end (across some gravity wheels), hit the terminal there to move the laser out of the way, and get back the the start so you can jump to the goal.

A point of clarification as you read the steps below:

1) Get onto the gravity wheel and use it to go through the portal. Take a turn on the dark side and follow the path around until you come to a terminal on a large platform, making note of an additional set of two portals. Hit the terminal.

2) Backtrack to the two portals again without twisting. Through one of them you should be able to see a terminal on a small platform (it's on the dark side). Go hit it.

3) Backtrack to the terminal you hit in step 1 and hit it again.

4) Twist your way back to the set of two portals from whence you came and go through one of them. Make your way around the wheel (it should be the middle wheel), go through the portal, and follow the path around until you come to a terminal on a large platform. Hit the terminal.

5) Without twisting, backtrack to two portals. Through one of them you should be able to see a terminal on a small platform (it's on the dark side). Go hit it.

6) Twist your way back to the set of two portals from whence you came and go through the one on your right. Around the wheel is a big platform on the light side with a terminal on it. Well, haven't you been meaning to hit this terminal? There's no reason not to hit it now.

7) Backtrack to the terminal you hit in step 5 and hit it again.

8) Backtrack further to the terminal you hit in step 4 and hit it again.

9) Backtrack even further to the terminal you hit in step 3 and hit it again. To clarify the path for getting there, you'll need to follow the path to two portals and go through. Then you'll need to twist around the center wheel, go through the portal, and make your way to the big platform at the end.

10) Repeat step 2.

11) You have a clear path to the goal. As usual, I leave it to you to find it. Needless to say, you're going to backtrack to it.

D6

This puzzle features a new way to twist gravity. The sad part is, this cool concept is introduced so late in the game that only 3 out of the 32 puzzles have this concept. This puzzle is also straightforward, requiring you to hit each terminal only once except for the first terminal you hit, which is also the last one you hit.

1) Head through a portal and towards the rotating circles (dark side). Keep moving forward on the dark side (and sideways and then upside down). Get onto the elongated turning platform and hit the terminal nearby it.

2) The terminal you hit should've rotated two portals. Through one of them, you can see a terminal on the light side. Go hit it.

3) Continue forward towards the rotating circles (light side). Keep moving forward on the light side (and sideways and then upside down (or is it right side up?)). Hit the terminal as you pass by.

4) Keep going forward. You should come across two stationary circles. Hop across them, go through the portal, across the rotating circles on the dark side, through another portal, and hit the terminal. This terminal should clear a laser for you.

5) Almost there. You need to backtrack to where you hit the first terminal and hit it again.

6) You are now clear to make it to the goal without hitting any additional terminals. I leave it to you to find your way.

Compared to what you've previously been through, this one's easy!

D7

The first thought when I encoutnered this puzzle: "reminds me of a Ferris wheel." Yet near or in that wheel there are two entrapment possibilities, one of which will hand you an achievement. Being the penultimate puzzle, this one will wrap up everything you've learned so far.

1) Go hit the terminal immediately in sight, to the right of you (terminal 3).

2) Now hop across without twisting into the portal and onto the big platform with three terminals on the dark side. These three terminals will rotate a part above. Hit each of them (terminals 4, 5, and 6 respectively).

3) Get onto the moving circle, go up, twist, go through the portal, twist again, and go through the portal. Make your way across the dark side (where it was crucial to have that part I mentioned in step 2 there), through another portal until you come to a terminal (terminal 2). Hit it.

4) Get back to the big platform on the dark side again and hit the three terminals again (terminals 6, 5, and 4 respectively).

5) Repeat step 3. You'll be heading through a different portal and hitting a different terminal this time (namely terminal 1).

6) Make your way back to the start. Repeat step 1.

7) Now make your way back to the big platform with three terminals on the dark side (you'll end up twisting twice to do it). Hit only terminal 4 this time.

8) At last, it is time to get onto the central wheel. Head onto the moving circle and (without twisting) go through the portal. You shouls now be able to twist onto the wheel, where there is one other portal available to you. Go through it and to the dark side (and try not to die while jumping if you can help it). Hit the terminal there.

9) Backtrack to the wheel and head through the portal you just turned. Hit the dark side terminal there.

10) Backtrack to the terminal you hit in step 8 and hit it again.

11) All's clear for heading to the goal without needing to hit any additional terminals.

D8

THE FINAL LEVEL! Is the anticipation of just beating the game killing you? Or maybe you just want to know how to solve this one in the minimum number of moves. Either way, I hope you enjoyed Parallax as much as I have after you leave this puzzle. Now, the puzzle itself has a most interesting feature: the longest wire in the entire game that controls... a sort of turnstile. This is how it will all end... unless you want to get the Style achievement here of course.

1) Twist and turn your way to the main area and hit the terminal in the center:

2) Facing the terminal, head to the left, through the dark side, and hit the terminal that turns the lasers.

3) Backtrack to the first terminal you hit and hit it again.

4) Facing the terminal, head to the right this time, through the dark side, and hit the terminal that turns the portal.

5) Now go hit the terminal that turns the lasers again. You'll likely find it easier to loop around through the light side back to the dark side to do it.

6) Repeat step 3.

7) Go through both portals, to the end on the light side, and hit the terminal there.

8) Make your way back the first terminal you hit...and do not hit it this time! Instead, there's a horizontal portal that was previously blocked by lasers. It invites you to go through now, so do it. Once you're through, you can hit the terminal with the short wire there to clear a path (believe it or not, clearing this path is at the crux of the puzzle).

9) Now go hit the terminal you hit in step 7 again in preparation for the finale.

10) Here is the final move: hit the terminal with the super-long wire, and run towards the goal. It'll be blocked initially by this turnstile-like mechanism, but if you're quick enough, you should be able to get through.

And there you have it. Solutions for all 32 puzzles.

It's possible to make complete D-5 with only 7 actions by abusing the gravity changing road things

thx for the guide

C-3 didnt work your way, so here is how i did it using 10 terminals:
first terminal: right at the start
terminal 2+3: go to dark side, jump over, go through portal and use first terminal, go back through portal and switch it with the terminal on the outside
terminal 4: go through portal, go back to start, go back to dark side
terminal 5+6: use terminal on the inside, then other terminal to switch the portal and go through it
terminal 7+8: use both terminals, go back through portal and jump over, go through portal and then do the parcour part
terminal 9+10: use the terminal, go back to the dark side and use terminal on the inside, go through portal and go to the finish

i hope thats clear enough, kept it short

On level B-5 step 7 should be terminal 4, not 6

There a missing step at C-5. At step 12) the main platform first needs to be rotated with terminal 4.
