Description
Whether a cargo container, a scout vehicle, or even an armored vehicle, the VC Carryall is the go to atmospheric drop ship of the VC fleet. Able to lift a payload up to nearly 140% of its own weight from multiple payload-lift landing gears, the Carryall’s robust versatility makes it the workhorse of planeside VC ventures.

Though outfitted with three solar panels, the Carryall’s five batteries require support facilities to be efficiently and quickly recharged. Some operators even favor removing the panels entirely to gain their weight in lift capacity. Others insist on keeping them in case they crash in a remote area and find themselves in need of the power source.

Specifications:

•Mass: 98,373 kg
•Power: 5 batteries and 3 solar panels
•Thrust: Atmospheric
•Maneuvering: 10 gyroscopes
•Weapons: 2 Gatling guns
•Cargo: 1 medium container
•Crew and passenger capacity: 1 pilot

Systems:

•Oxygen tank
•Remote control
•Antenna
•Floodlights
•3 Payload alignment cameras
•Repair projector
•Multiple payload-lift landing gears

Realistic Settings:

Max safe operating mass – vehicle plus cargo (approximate):

•Earth-like: 208,000 kg
•Mars-like: 190,000 kg
•Alien: 223,000 kg

Payload-lift capacity (approximate):

•Earth-like: 110,000 kg (Up to ~136,000 kg if pitched up to use aft thrusters in addition to primary lift thrusters – use this method to lift the VC LAV)
•Mars-like: 95,000 kg (Cannot lift VC LAV safely on Mars-like planet)
•Alien: 125,000 kg (Up to ~136,000 kg if pitched up to use aft thrusters in addition to primary lift thrusters – use this method to lift the VC LAV)

Got anything similar, but for out-of-atmosphere use?

Wow this things got some massive carrying capacity like the look a lot to reminds me of some of the old bi planes but without the second set of wings over all very well done :)

If Void-Corp sends a cruiser and lies about it. ISB Centurion Destroyers will whip it in its place :P

OFFICIAL DISCLAIMER: *tiny font* carrying planets may require more than the rated lifting capacity of this vehicle any crashes explosions or downright idiotic failures are not in anyway related to poor manufacturing of this craft and gopescope is in no way accountable. refunds are unavailable and gopescope will deploy a vc cruiser to anyone who says otherwise. PS NO REFUNDS DEAL WITH IT :steamhappy:

You can! (tiny font: if it weighs no more than up to 136,000 kg) ;)

can I carry a planet?
PotentiallyDodgy 22 Jul, 2016 @ 12:46pm
hmm i might be able to increase my dropships capacity...

There's some slop in the testing so it is possible earth and alien are closer than what is listed, but the results surprised me too. These tests and figures are all with realistic settings btw. Anyway, my best guess is that the alien planet's denser atmosphere causes the atmo-thrusters to be more effecient than they are in the Earth-like atmosphere. Evidently so much more that it makes up for the higher gravity and then some.
