By Red Z
After saying the same thing to people on the forums over and over again, I thought of making a short guide on how to fix this issue.

Custom HUDs
About all custom HUDs break the Main Menu after the Meet your Match Update.
That is because the HUD does not know how to display the new main menu correctly.

How do I fix this?
Simply update your custom HUD. If the HUD you are using is too old and didn't get updated since an eternity, there's little you can do about it except for removing it.
Custom HUDs are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom by default.

How do I know if the HUD I am using is ready for the update?
Join the Steam Group of your respectable custom HUD and check for announcements. Any competent developer posts bug fixes and issues in their own group.
Check your friends activity feed regularily. That way, you will always know when an update for your HUD went live and when you are able to download the latest version.
To update your HUD, simply go to the HUD's website and download it again. Then, simply remove the old version of your HUD in the custom folder and replace it with the new one.

When does updating my HUD come in handy aside from this?
Always update your custom HUD to the latest version.
Why? Because that'll also fix random things like %health% appearing on teammates, instead of the actual health numbers.
HUDs need to be updated to the newest version to work properly - just like the game. No exception.
I don't use a custom HUD - What do I do instead?
If you don't use a custom HUD, something inside your game is broken.

Right click the game in your Steam Library, go to properties, select the tab Local Files and click Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Steam will check for missing files and reaquire them.
That saves you a lot of time because you don't need to re-install the entire game.

This also helps if you are getting the common obj_dispenser file missing bug.
