How to Fix the Problem

When you start up a new game in Black Mesa, you may notice the scientists' ties spazzing or warping like crazy in certain sections. This happens when the framerate cuts below 40.

Here's how to fix it.

Start your game.
Open the developer console (default key is ~)
Type in (or copy/paste): cl_jiggle_bone_framerate_cutoff 0
Press Enter. Press Escape to exit the developer console.

If you can't access the developer console, you'll have to enable it in the Settings. Go to Settings, Advanced, then put a checkmark next to Enable Developer Console.

You're done. Congratulations. Now go play and enjoy the game.
