The bots that Brainbread currently offers are just as stupid, if not worse than Garry's Mod bots. If you want to play with bots that can help kill zombies or complete objectives, than this would be the opposite of what you are looking for.

This guide is written as if you barely know how to click a button, so don't get mad at me, that's how I usually write instructions.

A couple of things to note is that you get team bonuses with the bots, and you can't get achievements due to sv_cheats being set to 1.

There are different commands that will effect the bots in different ways. Type bot_ in console, then use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through all the commands.

Anyway, let's begin our adventure into true genius!


ANOTHER NOTE: Most of this article is also sarcasm. The bots are VERY dumb.

In order to be able to spawn the bots, you need the console. Now, the console is different in Brainbread; the button is [ (or ], one of the two) instead of ~. If you try to change it to ~, then the next time you load up Brainbread, it'll be gone, so I recommend you find another key, or deal with the brackets.

(I believe the reason it doesn't work is because ~ is something close to a secondary escape button, but can't close the main menu.)

Create your own server by clicking "Create Game" under the games tab. Choose your map, change any settings you want, and then click "Start Game" near the bottom-middle.

Once your game loads in, open up your console.

Type in the console:

sv_cheats 1

At this point, decide whether you want to die against a zombie, or kill all the zombies with a human, or more than one. Depending one which one you want to spawn, you have to type one of the two commands:

bot_add_human -- Adds a human with an AK47. (IF THEY DIE WITHOUT TURNING INTO A ZOMBIE, THEY WILL RESPAWN AGAIN WITH ONLY FISTS.)

bot_add_zombie -- Adds a bot zombie.


From there, you'll be "glad" you never played with humans ever again!
