Introduction

At present there are two hidden achievements for NewRetroArcade: Neon.

The first achievement "Wingman" is a holdover from the original tech demos.

Step #0 - Default Controls

Step #1 - Enter the Main Menu

Load up NewRetroArcade: Neon. Walk over to the Menu arcade machine and press the "Use" key to enter the Main Menu.

Step #2 - Select "Single Player"

In the Main Menu, select the "Single Player" icon by moving (the default is the mouse or the right stick on Xbox 360 or Xbox One controllers) onto the "Single Player" icon and selecting it. By default, the selection button will be mapped to the Left Mouse Button or the Right Trigger on an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller.

Step #3 - Select the Classic Map

In the Single Player menu, select and load the "Classic" map.

Step #4 - Proceed Down the Hallway and Turn Left

You will spawn at the end of the of a short hallway. Proceed down this hallway and turn left into a doorway.

Step #5 - Enter the Main Play Area and Turn Right

Walk forward slightly to enter the main play area, filled with arcade machines. Then, turn right 90 degrees to view a lounge.

Step #6 - Enter the Lounge and Turn Right and Look Down to see a Trash Can

Walk forward into the lounge.

When you have passed the corner, turn right and look downwards to see a trash can.

You will need place a tape inside this trash can to unlock the achievement. Remember that other trash can and should be placed inside, such as empty cola cans or Marie from Persona 4.

Step #7 - Turn Back Towards the Table in the Centre of the Lounge and Walk Over to it.

Turning back towards the centre of the lounge, you'll see a table with a tape deck and some tapes on top of it. Walk over to it.

Step #8 - Select and Pick Up a Tape

Select one of the tapes. They will all work for the purposes of the achievement. Pick it up using the Use key.

Step #9 - Bring the Tape Back to the Trash Can and Drop it in.

Bring the tape back over to the trash can. Hold it over the rim of the trash can and press the Use key to drop it in.

Step #10 - Achievement Unlocked

Once the tape is in the trash, the achivement will unlock.

The tape deck will start playing the "Rock Out!" station.

Addtionally, there is an arcade cabinet in the hallway opposite the entrance hallway which will begin functioning.

Trivia

The arcade cabinet originally activated a copy of After Burner 2[en.wikipedia.org], a flight game released in 1987.
Instead of changing the station to "Rock Out!", the tape deck would begin to play the song "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins, a popular, energetic rock song written for the soundtrack of the 1986 action/drama film about fighter jet pilots "Top Gun."

Second hidden achivement is throwing the robot into a trash can in the neon map
