Multiplayer Faction Unlocker (& Custom Battle)

Description
This mod is now obsolete as all my other Unlockers now contain the same functionality, so please pick another one of them from the list below.

This is a variant of my unlocker mods made specifically for Multiplayer with all factions enabled.

You can use this mod just like any of my unlockers to continue single player campaigns, but starting a new one might be difficult, as the faction selections screen can not display all of them and this mod has all (~ 50) factions enabled.

Make sure that all players have the exact same mods active to be able to play together!

DLC Mini Campaign Information
All Mini Campaigns that come included with DLCs will also get all available factions unlocked, but as they require their own modifications to become properly playable and come with their own problems, I wrote separate lists of changes and known issues which you can find here:

More Unlockers (Only use one at a time)
Bretonnia Faction Unlocker
Dwarf Faction Unlocker
Empire Faction Unlocker
Greenskin Faction Unlocker
Mixed Faction Unlocker

Other Mods you should check out to use alongside this one:
Conquer Anywhere / + Diplomatic Options / - Norsca Territories / + Chaos / + Beastmen
Adds much needed flexibility, especially when you are surrounded by foreign racial territory.
Themed UI Compilation
This gives whatever race you choose to play a much better suited User Interface color design.
180° Missile Firing Arcs
Less turning, more firing - a valuable quality of life improvement and more realistic ranged combat.
Lightning Sieges (Reduced Siege Time and Faster Ram/Siege Tower Creation)
Puts sieges back in line with the speed of other campaign actions and makes them less of a hassle.
Lower Agents Cap
Hate AI agent spam as much as everyone else? Then get this and get it fixed easy and quickly.

More great and often underrated mod recommendations can be found in the other unlocker mods!

Detailed Mod Information
Every faction leader / lord is immortal, but is otherwise just a normal general with a randomly generated base trait, which gets refreshed every time you start a new campaign.

All of my Faction Unlocker Mods contain the same base data, so you can continue any existing campaign with any one of them activated - the only difference is which factions are displayed at the campaign selection screen as space there is limited and scrolling is not possible.

Currently only some base armies contain handpicked extra starting units unique to the faction or lord, like how Karl Franz starts with the Reiksguard and Thorgrim Grudgebearer with Hammerers.

Compatibility Issues
This mod won't work alongside other mods that need to modify startpos.esf to work as intended.
These are mainly mods that modify information about how the campaign map is populated with settlements, lords, armies and so on at the start of a campaign.

A list of known incompatible mods can be found here - please add any new ones you find!

Known Issues
For detailed known issues regarding specific races, please check their respective unlocker mods.
There are currently no known issues that appear only in multiplayer, but if you find any then please report them here as I can't test all changes in both single- and multiplayer!

This mod is obsolete as my other Unlockers now contain the same functionality, so use the Crynsos' Faction Unlocker+ instead.

You should switch to one of my other Unlocker mods, as this one is no longer getting updates due to being obsolete. (as mentioned at the top of the description)
It still mostly works but lacks many of the bugfixes and so on that my other Unlockers received.
If both of you use the same other Unlocker, you should be able to continue your ongoing game just fine too.

So a friend and I have been playing a co-op game for quite some time, using this mod... I mean, we're only at turn 30, but we started the game weeks ago. Anyway, went to load it up today and it causes the game to crash every time. Any idea why? This mod is the only mod we were using.

White images typically mean that you have missing file references somewhere. If you select a non-custom lord and then select a custom one afterwards, the files don't get magically found, instead the game realizes that there is missing data and instead ignores it and fills in the last known data into those spaces, so the previous' lord portrait and map images.

The lord images are managed in frontend_faction_leaders, the startpos_map as it is called, is found in ui/frontend ui/startpos_maps and named accordingly to the faction.

Crysnos, I have a very quick question if you don't mind. Perhaps you could answer it in here if the response isn't long.

I was just wondering how you get the lord portrait and campaign map picture to appear properly on the lord / faction select screen.

For me, the image of the lord and the campaign map icon on the following screen appear as a blank white image if I select it. However, if I select a non-custom lord first, the images for my custom lords show properly (but not the campaign map image, it remains white). I know that my file paths are correct.

I noticed that your mod, with Sarthorael and the Chaos Gathering (as an example) instantly shows the image of Archaon when selecting Sarthorael and the appropriate campaign map image on the following screen.

How did you achieve this?

Would you be willing to help a fellow modder figure out how to do one of these?
