Description
Another version of the same mod, this time with no ranged units. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT ACTIVATE BOTH MODS AT THE SAME TIME. pick one, either this one or keep the original.

NOTE: Please sell your starting powerful units if you plan to recruit Isabella & Konrad. They are indeed powerful, I did give them high upkeep ...but since the vampires can become rich very fast, you can really create a powerful unbalanced army if you keep them and not sell your starting Varghulf or blood knights or hex wraiths, etc (depending on which legendary lord) right away.

UNIT LIST BELOW

VAMPIRIC KNIGHTS
- Tier 4 - Expert Melee Cavalry, designed to slaughter even the best of infantry ranks as long as they are not spearmen.
VAMPIRIC KNIGHTS (Dismounted)
- Tier 4 - Expert Melee Infantry designed to stand toe to toe against any that wishes to engage them.
HELLSTEED LANCERS
- Elite - Expert Flying Cavalry. With vampires mounted at its saddle equipped with a lance. No wall will stop these men.
ISABELLA VON CARSTEIN
- Hero - Vlads lover, An exceptional vampriess, ready to conquer the world. Recruitable at the start of the campaign.
DECAYED ONES (Halberdiers)
- Tier 3 - Necromancers finest work yet. These recently killed humans have risen again while retaining enough of their memories to be capable fighters. Excellent at fighting Large units without any signs of fear.
VAMPIRIC FENCERS
- Tier 5 - Vampiresses wielding two swords that are expert at melee combat.
BLOOD KNIGHTS (DISMOUNTED)
- Tier 4 - Off their saddle wielding a great sword, ready to tear enemies down.
CRYPT WARRIORS
- Tier 4 - A monsterousity equiped with a large axe dipped in poision. Can shatter ranks and gates alike Weak Against ranged.
KONRAD VON CARSTEIN
- Hero - Konrad joins the Vampire Counts, armed with two swords and two more scyths floating around him. He is a master of melee, Recruitable at the start of the campaign.
LORD OF DEATH (Greataxe)
- Tier 5 - Godlike, fearless & packing a powerful punch with each hit. Krell has risen and ready to destroy any end game unit that dare comes in its way. HE can summon his own special units in battles to fight alongside him. He can summon a special & unique unit to fight with him in battle

The mod is not designed around lore. If you are searching for lore-friendly there are plenty of mods that do that. I didn't strain too far away from the faction, most of the units are just armoured versions of base game units or simply stay close to the theme of the civilisation. However If this approach is not for you.... I hope you find what you are looking for elsewhere. Cheers!

But thanks for making a non ranged version of this mod, it kills me a little in side to see them with skeleton and zombie archers... Just couldn't play that version of the mod.

SUGGESTION: Rather than just remove missiles all together, why not add living and vampire archer units?
Syvania does have mortal residence, so it wouldn't be out of the question to give them something similar to peasant bowmen or Empire crossbows. Also its perfectly acceptable to have lower-born vampires use bow and arrows in my eyes.

I also really like your Warlock idea, its a creative way of giving Vampire Counts artillery that doesn't seriously trigger the lore fanatic in me.

Hey, thanks for replying but could I be a pain and just get you to specify? Like is it that you changed dismounted Blood Knights to dismounted Dragon Knights or are you saying Yes that you changed Blood Knights to be darker? Or both? Cheers. Good mod btw, particularly the Vampire units; always felt VC faction needed more actual Vampires in their ranks.

@Capitaine, i prefer missle, not for archers but the warlocks ;)

@ Brother, haha I made that unit before i learnt how to edit meshes, I could fix it now though...

Could someone clear up a couple of things about this mod (just started using it) - have Blood Knights been altered in it? The Blood Knights unit Vlad gets to start seem darker with this mod? Lastly, above it says Blood Knights Dismounted as a unit but I don't see them? All I can see are 'Dragon Knights Dismounted' or something?

Which of the two variants do you prefer? I could see vamps with missile units being too strong. then again, they are fairly low tier. hows armor penetration/rate of fire/accuracy?

Hello! Decayed Ones (halberd) units have undead heads but hands are from normal humans (so grey heads and fleshy hands, which makes them look like they wear silly mask), any fast fix for this? ^^ Also KONRAD VON CARSTEIN's floating scythes have skulls flipped 90 degree to right side, should it be that way?

I have updated this mod, meaning she is no longer avaiable. I just haven't updated the description. See the main mod, thats whats in this mod... minus the ranged units.

With the new FLC (bretonnia and the new vampire counts factions) woouldn't this mod mess up the new vampire counts faction? I'm just curious because I think the new legendary lord is Isabella?
