Realism mod is type of L4d2 where some stuff are limited compare to campaigns, like players dont see each other.
Expert difficulty, most advanced type of gameplay. To not explain all rules and datas here ( like how much damage each weapon does, that is in some other guides from other people), i will focus in things to know what i mean is most important.

Special infected (SI) do a lot of damage. If you hanging by smoker, each punch take player a 30 HP, or 50 by hunter.

Common infected (CI) is also a dangerous. Take damage from front of player 20 Hp, and 10 Hp from back, you may see and calculate from next video preview.











Other thing, Friendly fire (FF) here may be a problem, so player must watch on others, because when you shoot someone, shooter also take a damage.
Next video demonstrate how much damage take shooter and victim using submashine gun, and shotgun.

To move this Realism more from pure, here is adons:

- server may take up to 10 players
- option backpack added, you may carry more items
- Exploding car plugin, some cars dont call alarm, just explode and make dammage to survivors
- Chainshaw refuel, may be refueled by gascan
- some woden boxes (only destroyable) may got some suplies like kits, defibs, fire bullets, biles...
- selfhelp using pills, kit, or adren , duck button

Extra comands in game:

to acess backpack type in chat !pack or /pack

Backpack may host only one item by all tipes, some 2 (currently equiped)
Exsample: if is player equiped by medkit, in this slot may carry 2 kits, 1 def, 1 fire ammo, 1 explosive ammo. Or 2 pills 1 adrenaline or opposite.
If player dont have pills or adren, and find a stash, if take 2 pills and 1 adren, currently is adren equiped, and u loose 1 pills, but retake it from floor will hold adren, but may carry 2 pills, but pills are sellected.

For dark places you may type !flareme, or !flareme white (or any color) to temporary get flare in your belt.

Personnaly, i call them boxes of joy, since when all we limp in low health, no hope, should we survive, and you find suply boxes. Happynes is like is Christmass.






In this server is available to play lot of custom maps (more than 100) , and regular players mostly play custom maps. Since this is public server, custom maps repeal new unexperienced players from expert difficulty, who sometimes join, made dammage to team, and discconsect find this to advanced for them. And regular maps are...Booring..

To call map use command !votemap or /votemap

Must important is found some meele weapon or magnum pistol. After equip backpack as much you may, lets play!
Meele weapons may be scattered in random in map, sometimes in beginning, sometimes later.

Important thing is choose wiesly weapons, because some are not effective like in COOP or Versus.
Sniper weapons are not good here, since using AWP sometimes may shoot 3-4 times to kill CI, and in game more dangerous are CI than SI, compare it to COOP or other types of L4D2.

Good combination is magnum and combat or tactical shotgun, with magnum you may kill if you stand ground allmost like using sniper SI, and one shoot in leg or head kill CI. If you are surrounded by horde, you may shoow/shoot using magnum, and repeal horde in close using shotgun.
( shotgun short range, magnum long range use, or spare ammo of shotgun)

Other combination is knife and in beginning level submashine gun, since you may incoming horde shoot in area of head using submachine, good for SI, and close CI killing by knife.

Other combinations are endless, since u pick what is awailable.
Bad combination is using magnum and sniper. Surrounded by horde, instantly you find yourself in floor.

Like in some other guides for realism expert, i dont like using MIC ( some says, must have mic to communicate with other players)
Reason is: MIC low down game volume, is harder to hear SI when spawn, and to find each other, or tell you find some medkit, you may type it in chat, use vocalizer, or use flashlight on/off/on/off

In enter in some area of map, may be a lot CI. Good is to get rid of them, since you know how much dammage can make to you. If you shoow using RMB CI who is not aware of your pressence, you may kill it using only 1 hit RMB shoow.
Best is clean some area to progress further and keep HP intouched like in next video:

All this is in tactics, how to handle CI and SI. This aproach may reverse game in your favor or loss.
Since CI hordes are most dangerous than SI attack, save trovables to rush or kill hordes, and keep away from boomer.
More problem here is handle a boomer. If is all relax, and boomer vomit only one player, called horde may do a lot of dammage, and all that may be avoid only to kill boomer before.

Sometimes that is hard quest, and you must face vith horde by boomer. Best is to find some cower for back, like some corner, and use meele, or magnum combo (2shoot 1 shoow) like in next video:









SI handle is not problem here, if you understand how hitbox works, you may get rid of them easy. Hitbox is : invissible body of SI who made a real action, not animated model. How looks like in developer mode is here:

Enough to know is: you must shoow SI (E.G. hunter or jockey) little erlyer than you think. In that momment you hit his hitbox, and not animation model for video atractions. Try imagine like hunter is 0,5 m closer to you than you see in game, and shoow him using RMB.




That may be easy ingame like this:

Important thing are: must be aware your teammates, because is easy to lost, especially in custom maps, or if hunter get you, and teammates are to far, you are dead. If teammate is acupied by CI, hunter may do a lot of dammage, even incap you. After incap, selfhelp is to slow, hunter kill you before you may use a selfhelp.

You may play here allone, or with friends. If player is allone vith bots, bots dont separate, got installed aimbot, but easy to down by CI. Next video is how to pass allone map Arena of the dead 2, Realism expert. Shoved are first 2 maps of that campaign.



If some players is down by tank, horde or SI, it is not clever try to rewiwe them. !st kill CI or SI, teammate may get up using selfhelp, or just wait you to help.
