Introduction
Ok. My first guide. Gonna just infodump to start, maybe make it prettier later.

Anyhow. The intent is to show what's available, how much space it needs, and whether it's noisy or smelly. Hopefully, this can help people avoid some prestige loss and plan things out a little better.

Notes
NOISY & SMELLY - will travel vertically
noisy & smelly - don't seem to travel vertically
(#) - number of occupants/workers
EPCWGTR - requires Electricity, Phone, Cable, Water, Gas, Trash bin, Recycle bin
pcw - sometimes requires Phone, Cable, Water
Z - requires Zero utilities
P# - requires # Prestige to build

(updated for 1.0.4)

Other Considerations for Building
View
  • "prefers upper floors" or "prefers lower floors"
  • If you look at the View overlay, you will see a faint green appear around the 10th floor that gets brighter until about the 30th floor then stays bright until the top of the tower. (Note: View does not currently reach or have effect on the very top floor.)
  • prefers upper floors - likes to be in the green zone and will pay extra rent for the privilege
  • prefers lower floors - does not want to be in the green zone and will pay less rent as you go up
Elevators
  • "likes being close to elevators" or "hates being close to elevators"
  • In the Elevator overlay, you will see a green radius from elevators that spreads to a distance of about 16 tiles
  • likes being close to elevators - will be happier when near an elevator
  • hates being close to elevators - will complain when near a elevator
Traffic
  • "likes high traffic areas" or "hates high traffic areas"
  • As the peeps move about the building, they leave a trail. The more people walking through a space, the brighter the trail visible in the Traffic overlay.
  • likes high traffic areas - will be happier with more people walking by
  • hates high traffic areas - will complain about people walking by (Note: At this time, the tenants of the office/apartment itself and the service workers that they call are sufficient to trigger the "All this foot traffic is distracting" complaint.)
Artworks
  • "likes being near art and pretty things"
  • Paintings, statues and fountains generate a green radius on the Aesthetics overlay.
  • likes being near art and pretty things - will pay extra rent to be close to such items
  • Note - The green zone takes some time to fully expand. Place the art first, wait for the bloom to finish spreading and then choose the tenant to maximize rental income.

I have been looking for a guide where services map to the number of tenants per, does such a thing exist, or is it not an exact science?

For example: 1 Handyman per 12 luxury studio apartments. OR 1 Copy Center per 16 small offices or 8 medium offices.

This would have been a great game to play but I wasted my money buying this cap game! No matter how many utilities i put in the building it's NEVER enough and all the tenants move out ! I bought this game to play not to get fustrated and feel like throwing my laptop out the window!

Honestly thought this was a guide for systemd or something

Just started playing the game, and this is a fantastic guide. Layout of the guide is simple to follow, and easy to find information I'm looking for.

Any plans on updating for Vegas expansion? Thanks for the time and effort putting this together!
