INTRODUCTION

When I make a mod, I try to enhance the exciting content, without changing it in ways that people could find "off-putting". The goal is to give more options, a better user experience, and ultimately improve every-ones enjoyment of the game.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Regardless of the specific mod, everything I make follows FIVE (5) core rules:

1. Lore-friendly:
All of my content is heavily focused on following the lore. Everything is researched in the canon, and can be considered incredibly “lore friendly”.

2. Precedent-driven:
I've spent a LOT of time researching the existing decisions made by the CA Dev team when making this game, in order to provide content that attempts to match the vanilla logic and design as closely as possible (A great example of this is the the Arch Lector in "All Tabletop Lords Mod" that was actually made by CA afterwards, when I identified the need for him, had him playable for months before, and ultimately he was VERY close on the design when they made him).

3. Vanilla-oriented:
The reasoning for keeping any unit mod "in-line with vanilla", is to ensure they are balanced and accessible, for everyone, even those who have typically been wary of custom unit mods due to the mass of poorly implemented and often ill-researched stats and conversions. I believe the units are incredibly close to the way that CA has made theirs.

4. Rigorously-balanced:
All of these mods are designed to be truly balanced for the base game, even for players who focus on meta-knowledge, ranked play, and tournaments. (We have a VERY nice team for this! Still, more official balance testers are welcome, you can post a comment on the Steam workshop page for any of the mods if you're interested in getting involved).

5. Constantly-expanding:
There's a lot more content to come! Influenced by what CA makes available (Like the New Regiments of Renown that were recently added), as well as what the community wants to see, and what feels like the most useful additions based on knowledge of the lore and modding tools. It will definitely continue to grow and evolve as time goes on. If something isn’t created yet that you’d love to see, and it fits all the requirements above, you can post a comment or reach out directly, and the request will be considered very seriously!

CONCLUSION

My hope is that you will see the consistency, logic and attention-to-detail infused into this concept, and all these mods, and feel confident playing with them regardless of your preferences.

Cheers,
Jdharrow
