Welcome to my Walkthrough for Roborumble! :)
In this Guide I will play through both campaigns, beating every mission and getting the maximum amount of rewards possible, showing my builds, tactics and upgrade purchase order. Every upgrade will be purchased without (ab)using the negotiation mechanic, so it's theoretically possible to get all the upgrades even sooner!
Note that the solutions for each mission are only suggestions on my part and are there to help you if you get stuck, feel free to experiment with other builds and glhf! :)

any booster: 1 000 000 $
maximum defense booster: 10 000 000 $, needs shield, speed and turn speed boosters
maximum offense booster: 10 000 000 $, needs fire power,fire range and frequency boosters
Camouflage: 15 000 000 $, buyable only after mission 14 and only if you haven't bought a second maximum booster yet

if you want to (ab)use camouflage, don't ever buy a second maximum booster. If you want to have an easy time, go with maximum offense booster + Camouflage for Red Star and maximum defense booster + camouflage for Terraflux

RED STAR / FIREPOWER
Mission 1
buy: Shield(+Fire Frequency Booster?)
starting credits: 1600

  • The enemy wont move until you come up close to them
  • Buy 5x Rocket Launcher/Shield or 5x Rocket Launcher/Fire Frequency
  • Always prefer Rocket Launchers over Chain Guns, they deal twice as much damage over time!
  • Move up to the enemy and kill them all
  • Try to bodyblock if one of your units happens to run low on health
  • consider buying Rocket Launchers with Fire Frequency Boosters if you have trouble beating the time record as they will clear the enemies very fast, shields are the safer option, and you will want to have shields in the next mission anyways!

Mission 2
buy: Speed Booster
starting credits: 1500

  • Build 1x Rocket Launcher/Speed
  • Build 3x Homing Missiles/Shield
  • Immediately after it's been built move your Rocket Launcher to the right or the left side in one of the closed off corridors and send it to attack the enemy base
  • You can forget about this unit, the enemy will never actively do anything to defend against it
  • Use your Homing Missiles to defend your base, position them in a way so they can absorb the enemy fire
  • Destroy the enemy base, mop up all remaining hostiles
  • You should try to stay safe when youre going after the two pulse guns in the middle, attack with your homing missiles and retreat them behind a corner, they will be able to attack the pulse guns without receiving return fire

Mission 3
buy: lower production time

  • You're only allowed to build Robos of the same type
  • Build 5x Rocket Launcher/2-Leg/Speed
  • Try to steal the alien defense boosters before the enemy can reach them
  • It's possible to steal up to two defense boosters if you're really fast.. one near the pillars and one near the enemy base, go for the pillars first
  • Grab two alien weapon boosters and assign those two units as your defensive squad (if they also have alien defense boosters you will never have to rebuild them during this mission)
  • Prevent the enemy from grabbing your weapon boosters
  • Attack the enemies base from the right side with 2-3 units
  • Try to save high health units from the base explosion

Mission 4
buy: lower production cost
starting credits: 1600

  • To win this mission you will have to destroy the whole enemy convoy, spare the prototype
  • Your unit build doesnt really matter, as longs as you build enough mine spreaders to kill everything
  • Think about building Mine Spreader/2-Leg/(Speed), Homing Missile/2-leg/Shield or Chain Guns to trigger the mines early

Mission 5
buy:
starting credits: 2400

  • To beat this mission you have to break through a very strong coastal defensive line, your enemy will never attack nor produce units
  • Build 4 Chain Guns on 2-Legs
  • Place 3 of them in between the ventilation and the switch and on right beside the switch
  • Build 3x Mine Spreader/4-Leg/Shield and one Chain Gun on a 4-Leg and move them in front of the nearest ventilation systems near your base
  • Move your Chain Gun on the switch and target the enemy units with your Mine Spreaders, use the Chain Gun to kill them fast
  • Send more Mine Spreaders/Magnetons across the water to kill the remaining Buzzers
  • Destroy the base with Homing Missiles or Rocket Launchers

Mission 6
buy: Maximum Weapon Booster
starting credits: 550

  • You will only have time to build a single Robo to defeat the enemy army
  • Either build Homing Missile or Rocket Launcher with 4-Leg/Maximum Weapon Booster
  • Collect the Alien Defense Booster near your starting location
  • Collect the Alien Weapon Booster located in a pit near one of the edges of a map
  • Kill every enemy and destroy their base

Mission 7
buy: -
starting credits: 1600

  • The enemy has two bases, one near yours and the other one behind a locked door guarded by Robos with Alien Boosters
  • Build 4x Rocket Launcher/Tires/Speed
  • Take all 4 speed boosters
  • Prevent the enemy from reaching the switch
  • Invade the enemy base with 2-3 rocket launchers
  • When the first base is down, get on the switch and crush as many enemy units as possible
  • Destroy the incoming onslaught with mine spreaders/magnetons/chain guns/rocket launchers
  • Kill the second base, no enemy will spawn

Mission 8

  • Build a Blocker (like Oiler/Caterpillar/Maximum Defense Booster)
  • Build 2x Homing Missiles/Tires/Maximum Weapon Booster
  • Watch enemy movement and block off the entrances their units will come out of
  • Kill everything, shouldn't be too hard.

Mission 9
buy: base regen (and prerequisits)
starting credits: 5000

  • Your enemy will produce bots equipped with Alien Boosters
  • Build 1x Homing Missile/4-Leg/Maximum Weapon Booster -> collect all Alien Boosters with this unit
  • Produce a mixture of Oilers, Mine Spreader, Rocket Launchers and Homing Missiles to protect your base
  • Attack their base with your boosted up Homing Missiles and keep it alive
  • Kill all remaining enemies

Mission 10
buy: -
starting credits: 2400

  • The enemy starts off in a tough defensive position in a swimming fortress while producing an endless stream of Hovercraft units attacking your base.
  • There is an easy way to destroy his base indirectly: the enemy fortress has a 2-tile opening on each side, it is possible to lay a force field through these!
  • Build 1x Force Field/Caterpillar/Maximum Defense Booster and move it through the pit to the corner of the water pool.
  • Build 1x Force Field/Amphibian/Speed and move it to the opposing corner across the water
  • Build 1x Homing MIssiles/Amphibian/Maximum Offense Booster and let it collect the Alien Weapon Booster near your base.
  • The Force Fields will destroy the enemy base really fast without being in danger
  • Move your Homing Missiles to the nearest corner of the Fortress and let it destroy every enemy

Mission 11
buy: -
starting credits: 2400

  • Your enemy has three bases that are constantly producing indestructible(or so they say ;)) cubes heading directly to your base
  • Have 3x Rocket Launcher/Tires/Speed up as long as your enemy still has his bases
  • Spend the rest of your credits on Mine Spreader/Tires/Speed
  • Move one of your Rocket Launchers on one of the outer switches that are closest to your base
  • Move in with your second Rocket Launcher, let him stay on the inner switch to block any cubes and target the base
  • Repeat the process on the other side
  • Intercept cubes with your Mine Spreaders
  • Build a cheap Chain Gun to trigger the explosions early if the cubes get too close to your base

Mission 12

  • Your enemies wont attack you, they just run away with alien speed boosters
  • Herd them like sheep and kill them with the Force Field

Mission 13

Updated in 2020 lol :D

  • Build 3x Nuke/Tires/Speed
  • Build 4x Force Field/Tires/Speed
  • Blow up the Erasers on the sides and the one furthest away from your base
  • Move in with one of your Force Fields, and have on on the opposing side of the base so the Force Field goes right through it
  • Have 2 Force Fields guard your base
  • Repeat until the base is destroyed, remove remaining enemies with force fields!

Mission 14
buy: Whatever you want :D

  • Buy 4x Force Field/Tires/Speed Booster
  • Lay a Force Field through the enemy base, stay clear of enemy units
  • Once the base is destroyed, clean up with your Force Fields, can be done in under 3 minutes :)

Mission 15

  • Buy 6x Force Field/Tires/Maximum Defense Booster
  • Attack the enemy base with 2 Force Fields at a time
  • Block off the switch behind the wall outside of your base, or you will lose
  • Destroy their base, kill remaining enemies with Mine Spreaders

TERRAFLUX / BRAINPOWER
Mission 1
buy: fire frequency booster (optional, it makes beating the time record a lot easier tho)
starting credits: 2350


  • Destroy every enemy Robo to win
  • The enemy Homing Missiles will sit in their enclosure until one of your units comes into firing range
  • Build 1x Laser/(Shield)
  • Build 6x Eraser/Fire Frequency Booster
  • Let the laser pick up the alien defense booster to the left of your base and move it up to the entrance of the enemy zone
  • Position your erasers next to the lengthy entrance corridor
  • Walk in with your laser to lure the enemies outside (you can lure your fist enemy as soon as 3 erasers are in position)
  • Lure 3 enemies max at a time, dont let them stand still, or else your erasers wont target them

Mission 2
buy: shield (optional, you will buy it soon enough anyways)
starting credits: 3000

  • The enemy will attack witch Chains Guns from the right and Homing Missiles from the center
  • Build at least 6x Pulse Gun/Fire Frequency Booster
  • Build another Pulse Gun with either fire freq or shield
  • Build a Laser
  • Attack the enemies base from the right
  • Use only 2 Pulse Guns to attack the base at the same time, the rest will stay further back on the right side in a safe distance to the base's explosion radius and defend against incoming Chain Guns
  • 1 Pulse Gun, the Laser, and rebuilt units will stay back at your base to defend from incoming attacks (mainly from the center)

Mission 3
buy: fire range booster(must have), lower production time, lower production cost
starting credits: 2200

  • Your base will be under fire almost instantly
  • Build Pulse Guns / 2 Legs / Fire Range Booster
  • Defend against the first wave and move out with all your bots
  • You have to move out of your base to beat the time record
  • Move up to 4 of your Pulse Guns around the edges and kill the idle enemies in the hangars from a safe distance
  • The hangars located on the corners of the map are the most dangerous, take them out asap
  • Your bots need to have high health to pass the middle hangars

Mission 4
buy: maximum defense booster and prerequisits
starting credits: 2700

  • The enemies base will be in a locked off area, that can only be opened by a switch located near the middle of the map
  • The enemy will constantly send out kangaroos to attack from the left side over the pipes
  • Your main tactic will be blocking off the door to the enemy base, you can easily destroy his troops by closing the door on them by moving off the switch

  • (note that this setup is only possible if you have bought the lower production cost base-upgrade, you could substitue one spider pulse gun for something else)

  • Build 2x buzzer/spider/maximum defense booster
  • Build 2x pulse gun/spider/maximum defense booster
  • Build 2x pulse gun/2-leg
  • Move first buzzer asap over the switch and collect the alien weapon booster on the half island, then move him in front of the door
  • Once he's in position, move the second buzzer over the switch and collect the second alien weapon booster to the left. any enemy that tries to move through the door will be crushed :)
  • Move one pulse gun spider over the switch
  • Move both buzzers to the small area surrounded by pipes on the left, they will destroy any incoming kangaroos
  • Move the pulse gun spider in front of the door
  • Leave your pulse guns in your base if your buzzers were to slow and some kangaroos got over the pipes
  • Now it's time to go on the offense! you will need 3 pulse guns for each attack wave.
  • You need one spider in the front, blocking the door, any other pulse gun right behind, the third one has to stay near the switch
  • Move over the switch until the enemies behind the door have all been crushed, move in with your door blockers and attack the base, close the door
  • Repeat two more times until the enemy base is dead. clear up the rest

Mission 5
buy:
starting credits: 2500

  • Your enemy will start with two bases
  • You could reach the one closer to your base with teleporters, but don't bother, attacking over the waterway rarely works

  • Build 3x pulse gun/spider/maximum defense booster -> this will be your offensive squad
  • Build 2x buzzer/spider/range booster -> these two will protect your base
  • You could also try defending your base with one nitrogrenade, they work wonders against enemies in water, as do buzzers
  • As soon as your offensive squad is ready, storm past all the enemy bots straight to his base, kill the ones following you to the base
  • Let two of your pulse guns fall back when the base's health is low, so only one of them gets destroyed
  • Once the first base is killed, follow the path to the second base
  • You could try to reinforce your offense with teleporting pulse guns, if the area around the base is cleared
  • Dont stop swarming your enemy until he's dead

Mission 6
buy: -
starting credits: 550

  • The mission will start off with 3 rocket launchers already attacking your base
  • You cant save your base, just move on

  • Build pulse gun/jet car/maximum defense booster
  • Move to the left, avoid the train, there will be a alien speeder booster in the midst of the railway
  • Once collected move back to where your base was
  • Move up, let the train pass then follow it, collect the alien defense booster
  • Go back to the area where your base was once again
  • Go to the left and then up, collect the alien weapon booster thats positioned in the thir railway
  • Now you're set to go, move up and destroy the enemy base, then kill everything that's left (note: your pulse gun will deal a ton of damage, if it stays right next to its target!)

Mission 7
buy: base health+10%, base regen
starting credits: 3000

  • Build 4x pulse gun/jet car/maximum defense booster
  • Let em collect all 4 alien weapon boosters
  • Position your pulse guns in a way so they can shoot spawning enemies
  • Their base will get hit in the process
  • Retreat your guys before they take damage from the exploding base
  • If you're planning to get the reward for having green base health you will have to wait a bit, so your base can regenerate

Mission 8
buy: -
starting credits: 2000

  • Build 1x disrupter/jet car/speed
  • Build 3x buzzer/spider/maximum defense booster
  • Build 1x buzzer/jet car/range

  • Wait for the enemy to get into position
  • They will attack you with two homing missiles
  • Catch them with your disrupter and leave them there
  • Attack them through the tunnel system with your spiders
  • Repeat 3 times, then clear up the remaining enemies

Mission 9
buy: -
starting credits: 2800

  • Build 3 attack waves:
  • 2x buzzer/teleporter/maximum defense booster
  • Jump right into his base
  • The train will hit your base, there isnt much you can do about that
  • Take control of the switch before the train hits your base a second time
  • Kill remaining enemies with the usual stuff (nitrogrenades, disrupters, pulse gun..)

records to beat:

base health: yellow
efficiency: 38%
max reward: 7 000 000 $ (actually 9 000 000 $, if you were able to keep your base health green.. but good luck with that)

Mission 10
buy: -
starting credits: 5000

  • Build pulse gun/teleporter/maximum defense booster
  • Go to the back side of their base,
  • There is a 1-tile safe zone that's not covered by a force field
  • Jump in with your pulse guns and go straight for the base
  • Every now and then a rocket launcher/caterpillar/frequency booster will attack your base, so leave something back to defend (nitrogrenades are your friends!)

Mission 11
buy: all the surprise inventions (22 000 000 $), unit health regen is good here and EXTREMELY GOOD in the next mission, where you're unable to buy anything
starting credits: none

  • Storm the castle!
  • Move the nitrogrenade on the switch, move it inside
  • Move in with a pulse gun, take out the frozen force field asap
  • Move your army to the other side of the first ring, position your erasers on the sides, so they can snipe the patrolling rocket launchers
  • Once on the other side bring a pulse gun or a laser in position to attack the oiler as soon as the door opens
  • Have your nitro freeze the oiler and kill him
  • Move your buzzer spiders inside the second ring and take out homing missiles and force fields, clear out the second ring and press two switches to open the next doors
  • Kill everything and leave one of your guys to kill the base, get the others to safety

Mission 12
buy: it's impossible to purchase anything at this point
starting credits: none

  • It's only possible to break the records by abusing this mission's flawed map design
  • Step a little closer to the base to lure the first group of chain guns outside
  • Let them chase you to the ventilation system behind the railway circle
  • Step on the switch and watch them dissolve in acid
  • Go back to where you started from and attack the base
  • Sit back and relax or go get a drink or something, it takes your robo a whopping 6 minutes to kill the base
  • To get 100% efficiency you have to quickly press enter once the bace exploded, so it doesn't hit your little buddy ;)

Mission 13

  • Stop the enemy convoy from reaching the exit zone
  • It's fairly easy when you intercept the enemies with disrupters..
  • Buy 3-4x disrupter/hovercraft/speed
  • Buy 1 weapon/hovercraft/speed
  • Buy nitrogrenades/hovercraft/speed
  • Freeze and kill your defenseless enemies

Mission 14
buy: -

records to beat:
time: 9:08
base health: NONE
efficiency: 100%
max reward: 5 000 000 $

  • WOW, that was easy
  • Build 1 jet pack with speed booster
  • Jump into the closed off area with the switch to release your roided out army
  • Keep your army safe from the base's explosion radius and kill it with 1 pulse gun at a time (close in to deal huge damage and then quickly run away and snipe from long range)
  • Hunt down the rest of the red pack, finished.

Mission 15
buy: Camouflage
starting credits:

  • Made easy with camouflage:
  • Build: 6x Infector/jet car/camouflage, send them straight to the enemy base, they deal massive damage
  • Build teams of disrupter/nitrogrenade/laser + jet car/speed or maximum defense booster to hunt down all remaining bots

  • An effective strategy not revolving around camouflage is still kinda similar:
  • Build 1-2 disrupter/jet car/speed
  • Build 4-6 infector/jet car/speed - send them one after another straight to the enemies base
  • Build 2 nitrogrenade/jet car/speed
  • Build at least 1 laser/jet car/speed
  • Build more infectors.. you will need way more than 6
  • Mop up the rest with effective killteams (nitrogrenade/disrupter/laser)

base health: green
efficiency: 20%
max reward: 7 000 000 $

ALIENS
  • Build at least 6x Nitrogrenades/Jet Car/Maximum Defense Booster (or at least with the Speed Booster)
  • Use Nitrogrenades to slow down the second Alien of the convoy that's going up to the Alien Superweapon
  • Follow the leading Alien and freeze it on the big switch at the end of the map
  • Get inside the closed off area after the Alien has opened the door for you
  • You will need 5 Robos to activate the big switch in the middle of the room
  • Send your 6th unit through the last door to end the game!

ALIENS 2
Here's another way to do the Alien Mission :)
A little bit tricky and it bugs out your game, but hey it's twice as fast as doing it the normal way, so you don't have to sit around waiting for the aliens ;)

"WIP Unit Discussion" I'd be happy to see that, alas some of the in-game stats lie. Especially since hovercraft is actually faster than amphibian. Doing some tests on multiplayer can reveal that kinda stuff. Also: Raphael's crown jewel, the propeller.. Let's admit, it's kinda a joke, instant death when shot while moving, as well as what's already the lowest armour (and pretty slow speed) as it is. My tip: Don't use it unless you really know what you're doing, and even then, very rare situation of when to use it. I digress of course, many thanks for the guide, helped me through quite the few missions.
