@Zinterklaas most likely conflict with another mod you have on, try disabling all other mods to see if it's a mod conflict.

Unpack the file and then change the name of the file costume to the one u want it to be like and manually place the files in the right override folder. Go to Trovesaurus for modding guides on how to do all that stuff.

Any way we can get 6 versions for the 6 colors that way we can choose what color without changing costumes?
