The Art of Peace is meant as a way of winning a game because of your ability to communicate to the killer instead of your ability to evade him. Befriending a killer in a game that is obviously about how many people he can kill is a tricky task, so don't expect this to occur too often. Trying to make peace with the killer mostly ends up in death but you can try this tactic in a 1v1 situation with an almost certain defeat. The only reason this works ever is because both sides have something to gain from the friendship. The killer can gain points by trapping, hitting, or stalking you. You can gain points by stunning, blinding, or escaping him.

I actually spent about two hours going from game to game trying to befriend the killer and figured that right now, 10/30/16, you have about a 40% chance to find a killer that will not kill you if you go about it in the right way. I found this out after trying it in ten games. If this guide gets any popularity the chances will probably rise to about 80%.

Now how would we go about befriending a killer intent on getting them bloodpoints? The trick is to show trust. Basically, it's a gamble. You need to signal the killer using your point (1). The indicates that you are not taunting him but you still want to get his attention. After that you can either walk towards him or crouch rapidly on the ground or a little bit of both. The killer may stab you or even knock you down, but it could still be a success. You know you have done it when he let's you heal, wiggle out of his grasp, or do generators in front of him. Just remember, he still needs bloodpoints so you either have to help him get other survivors or sacrifice yourself.

Being an innocent survivor and getting the killer's attention isn't everything though. Killers can make friends too. This doesn't happen nearly as often as it should in comparison to survivors befriending the killer, but I guess people have trust issues. While being a killer, you want to make sure that they know you are trying to be friendly. You can do this by finding them hiding and obviously choosing not to kill them, spinning to show friendliness, and following them without hitting them. Also, if you can get their attention, try hitting the wall as a sign that you don't want to kill them. Take note that this probably won't work most of the time.
