Introduction
Welcome to the guide. Soulcraft is a mobile game ported to PC, where you take the role of an Angel recruit who will combat the forces of hell. It is one of the better mobile game ports, as the controls are fluid and the game plays really well. The levels are short and character management is decent, so you can sink some time into this game. Also the difficulty can ramp up pretty high, so get prepped.
Unlimited Gold
There are two resources in this game, gold and souls. Both are gained by playing the game, tho the gold only in very small amounts. As you create your character, you get 1000 gold. You can abuse the character reset feature to get 1000 gold as many times as you want:

Go to the character creation screen:

Create a new angel:

Select the newly created angel and click the Reset button below him:

Confirm Reset:

Reset deletes all your progress and gear, reduces your souls to 0 and gives you 1000 starting gold. But since gold and souls are shared, you can Reset another character as many times as you like, and keep the progress on your main character.

This method obviously wasn't included in the original game and would be considered cheating.
Getting gold legitimately
In case you didn't want to cheat with unlimited gold, there's a legitimate way to gain gold.

After you play through first 5 or 6 maps of the campaign (they are very easy and they work as a tutorial), you gain access to play other maps than campaign - daily essence quest, daily gold quest and Custom arena.

Daily essence quest gives you an essence as reward. It is currently bugged, so you can play it only once, then you have to spend gold to "reset" it and play it again.

Daily gold quest gives you a given gold reward along with a free mystery chest containing xp, gold, souls or items. It can be reset for free infinitely and the reward starts at 25 gold and increases. Be aware that the difficulty of the quest also increases each time you win it, so you may get destroyed after few playthroughs. Get better gear and come back later.

Custom allows you to select the map you want to play, game type you want to play and the difficulty.
Higher difficulty = better reward. You can only select XP or Souls as rewards tho.
Game types are pretty simple:
Monster arena - just you and regular monsters, kill everything and you win.
Run through - the same thing, but you have to reach a portal at the end of the map.
Hell gates - you have to kill three hellgates on the map, you can ignore monsters. Hellgates take 5x more damage when you kill all nearby monsters tho.
Crystals - you have to defend crystals attacked by monsters.
Boss fight - you get a specfic boss.
In any of these fights, randomly chests can spawn around the map containing gold, xp, souls or essences.
Stats explained
Your character has multiple stats you can improve:

Health - self-explanatory
Armor - gives % damage reduction from physical attacks. That means axethrowers, hounds, assasins and other melee monsters. Scales well as you can see from the screenshot.
Magic Resistance - gives % damage reduction from magical attacks. Those butterfly things, the blue wave of force from bats, spells from casters, toxic pools. Scales well as you can see from the screenshot.
Block - gives you a % chance to completely block damage. Scales very poorly - even if you get all your equipment with + Block, you will have a hard time reaching 40% chance.
Movement speed - self-explanatory

Mana - self-explanatory
Mana Regeneration - self-explanatory
Cooldown Reduction - makes your spells reusable faster, duh.

Weapon Damage - affects the damage you deal with left mouse button. Empowered by % Damage, % Critical damage and your selected attack type.
Magic Damage - affects the damage of your spells (E, R, Q). Empowered by % Damage, % Critical damage and depends on your selected spells.
Damage - boosts the damage you deal with anything by a %.
Critical Hit Chance - gives you a chance to deal higher damage. Bonus is based on Critical Hit Damage %.
Critical Hit Damage - boosts the damage you deal with Critical hits by a %.
Stun Chance - gives you a % chance to stun monsters with each hit. Scales poorly
Slow Chance - gives you a % chance to slow monsters with each hit. Scales poorly.
Equip guide
The game revolves about periodically improving your stats.

By repeatedly buying items and selling unused items for SOULS, you keep getting new ones to choose from, so you can ALWAYS improve your gear after enough purchases. You also don't need to spend GOLD to buy the good looking weapon, since after enough purchases, you will get the ones with multiple bonuses too. Save your gold for later, when you'll need to craft specific bonuses. Do not craft the low level crap items either, save essences for later too. That is, unless you are cheating with gold of course...

Keep buying better weapons and amulets every level. You can pretty much ignore any stat bonuses until character level 20, just look at the number on the weapon/amulet, and higher = better. But if the item also has more bonuses, of course it's a plus.

As soon as you unlock all item slots, buy an armor with decent + Health. Then at least one item with % Magic Resistance and at least one item with % Armor. That is your bare minimum to survive the increasing difficulty.

Block is not required, Stun chance helps a lot. I never really noticed the slow stat.

After that, try to slowly specialize your items into your playstyle. If you play melee fighter, get decent armor and magic resistances, maybe some stun chance or block, you won't need cooldown reduction or mana for example. If you want to play caster, you won't need much armor, but mana and mana regen will be a must. Any empty slot can be filled with damage and crit chance to increase your kill speed.

PS: If you're ever low on SOULS, remember that you can play the Custom game at Insane difficulty, which will give you 200% souls reward. You can look at the stats screenshot how many souls I had at the endgame.

Playing legit (lol), I got into a conflict regarding pets; Either works or the more expensive they are, the more functions they provide. The menu section doesn't internalize that at all and I figured either would be fine.
