Shadow Ops Long War individual mods

Description
This is the Hunter class from the Shadow Ops Long War overhaul, as a separate class mod. The Hunter's unorthodox combination of sniper rifle and sword makes them deadly at any range. The Marksman path can execute devastating ambushes with First Strike and then vanish with Fade, while the Tracker can fight on the run with Snap Shot and Sprint while detecting enemies beyond line of sight with Tracking.

Abilities
Squaddie
Fleche: Attack any enemy within movement range with your sword. Deals +1 damage for every 3 tiles between your starting position and the target.
Slash: Attack an adjacent target with your sword. Uses one action.
Squadsight: You can target enemies within squadmates' sight, provided there is line of sight to the target.

Corporal
First Strike: While concealed or flanking your target, you deal +3 damage with your sniper rifle and take no penalties from using Squadsight.
Reposition: You can take a standard move action after firing your sniper rifle.
Snap Shot: You may take standard shots and enter standard overwatch with your sniper rifle after moving, but you suffer severe range penalties beyond 5 tiles of squadsight range on all shots.

Sergeant
Mark: Mark a target, giving all friendly units +15 Aim on shots against it. The bonus never expires, but you can only have one target Marked at a time. Using this ability will not break concealment. 1 turn cooldown.
Point Blank: Reduces the Aim penalty for short-range sniper rifle shots by 67%.
Keen Edge: Your sword attacks shred 2/3/4 armor and deal +1/2/3 damage.

Lieutenant
Fade: Gain concealment that is broken if you move. 3 turn cooldown.
Steady Weapon: Gain +20 aim on your next shot with your primary weapon. Bonus is lost if you use actions or are wounded.
Sprint: Gain a bonus move action this turn. 2 turn cooldown.

Captain
Bullseye: Fire a shot that deals critical damage and gives the target penalties to Aim, Defense, and Will. 4 turn cooldown.
Lightning Reflexes: Reaction fire shots against you have a significantly decreased chance to hit. The bonus goes down with each additional reaction shot you face.
Tracking: You detect nearby units even without line of sight.

Major
Precision: You get +20 Aim against targets in full cover.
Damn Good Ground: Confers +10 aim and +10 defense against targets at a lower elevation.
Low Profile: Makes partial cover count as full.

Colonel
Assassin: When you kill a flanked or uncovered enemy with your sniper rifle, you gain concealment.
Evasive: You are immune to multi-target and area attacks.
Slice and Dice: Attack any enemy within movement range with your sword. If you hit, make a free second sword attack. 1 turn cooldown.

Brigadier
Double Tap: Special shot: Fire two shots with your primary weapon at the same target. Requires both actions. Second shot is at a -10 aim penalty.
Butcher: Increases damage against organic targets by 30%.
Last Stand: Once per mission, become immune to death and incapacitation until the end of your next turn.

Does Butcher for hunter works for both melee and range attacks? And what about other source of dmg like granades or something?

In LW2, the fade perk combined with a suppressor and stealth suppressor mod is able to move without losing concealment. i.e. it ends up acting like conceal that you can use every 3 turns.

Works great with Long War from what I've played so far. Only one bit of redundancy in the steady aim perk since that's now rolled into an attachment.

Also it seems like it has much higher aim and damage with a sword than maybe it should? Taking the Hunter and a Shinobi out on the same mission, the Hunter has a 10% or more higher chance to hit with his sword attacks and does more damage. Not a big deal but it's led to the Hunter in my game being my #1 all star on a preliminary LW2 playthrough I'm about to restart. I'm actually making some ini edits to lower his accuracy a smidge. Otherwise seems to work great!

Any reason this wouldn't work with LW2? Looks like exactly the kind of class I'm looking for.

@Eric Phail, getting a kill with the sniper rifle against a flanked/uncovered enemy while not flanked should be the only requirements.

Having Issues with Assasin not proccing (Build: First Strike, Keen Edge, Sprint, Bullseye, Low Profile, Assasin - AWC:Lethal). Is there a requirement for not moving/not firing more than once (eg Axe throw or Hair Trigger Proc) or it not being the last shot of the clip? (The attacks were unconcealed first strikes so definately Flank/Uncovered) and I wasn't flanked.

Yep l can see that, except in all those cases you are basically taking a standard shot with a bonus afterwards (shoot again, enter overwatch, get a yellow move). With snapshot you are losing the ability to take a standard shot in the first place and the only shot you can take gets a reduced chance to hit plus squadsight nerf.

Anyway now l know this is not a bug, we are just discussing balance. Shame that LW weren't able to make it so the penalties dont apply if you dont move (as per XCOM EW).

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

@DabHand, it works the same way as Light 'Em Up, Ready For Anything, and Reposition. All of those replace your basic standard shot ability with a new ability with different name and icon. Your standard shot is just whatever skill is on the "1" icon.

WAD is all l needed to hear. The tooltip description remains incorrect. Here's a positive - l use all the shadow ops stuff and they are great. Thank you!
