Australian Place Names

Description
A fair dinkum collection of over 5000 Aussie place and street names. Streuth!

I plan to refine this list over time and release updates as time permits. Please feel free to leave a comment, and dont forget to Rate it!... Thanks :)

Every Place Name is an actual Australian place... There may still be a few too many "English" sounding names in this list at the moment, but they cant be removed entirely.

The Street names are mostly real streets, with a few derived from place names and Australian Flora and Fauna (I'm sure they exist somewhere). I'd like to add a few more names to the Street list when I can.

Unfortunately right now my main PC is down, and I don't yet have TF2. If I can find my original code I may be able to provide the list if anyone wants to make a mod for TF2, perhaps including a few missing names that Ive noticed. At this stage I don't have plans to make any mods for TF2 (due to time constraints) so feel free to grab the existing list from this mod and reuse it (with credit) if you have the skills. It was fairly easy to do in TF1,

@Dermott Banana How about you have a look at the actual list before making recommendations. Its stored on your hard drive after subscribing, so that should be easy enough. It was hand compiled by me, and is not from Train Fever. It also contains none of those strings you mentioned. It was not derived from a simple list of post codes.

If this is the list from Train Fever, I'd recommend filtering it and removing: place names starting with 'HMAS...', all the '... DC' & '...MC' entries (distribution centres/mail centres), all the shopping centre names, university names... Coz that list came straight from the list of Postcodes...
