Here is my transfer Review. We made two main centre-back signings in the young Italian duo Alessio Romagnoli and Daniele Rugani for $30M ($33M) and $25M (30M), respectively. Please note the exchange rate used is the "British Pound". Then we signed a young English right-back (the reason is because the player's nationality is the same as the club's so it is good to involve domestic players sometimes) in Josh Tymon for $825K, another young first team/rotation right back in a German Felix Passlack who eventually gets to play with one of his former teammates who is another youngster for $25M. We got one more right back in Alex Robles for $3M who has got some nice attributes. We got Pedro Pereira (right back) on loan with a future fee which we did not activate and Lewis Cook with a future fee that we did activate which you will know about in Season 2. Then we got the highly rated and potentially over-hyped causing pressure on him, Martin Odegaard for $7.5M! #NorweigianBargain! Then we got the final right back for a bargain price of $1.6M, unfortunetely I can't see him getting a work permit and may have to leave, but at the same time we may earn a small profit. Then we got the highly renowned young Goalkeeper in Gianluigi Donnarumma for a great price of $11M. Then we got Donny van de Beek on loan from Ajax with a future fee of $5M that we did not activate with a loan fee of $100K p/m. We also got Martin Caceres on a free transfer, who unfortunately we are having problems selling, Reiss Nelson for $1.2M, Che Nunnely for $4.5M, Ryan Sessegnon for $6M and Thiago Maia for $17.5M.

Pre-season friendlies is where we are going to continue now! All were decent games apart from the 2-2 draw with NYCFC but we were still making changes to the squad. We won the Community Shield on penalties after we were drawing 2-2 after extra time. We started good in our first game in the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough. Then we drew with Everton 2-2 and lost to Tottenham 1-3. Then we won four games in a row (two in the Premier League over West Brom and Swansea with a 2-0 and a 2-1 win, respectively and the other two being a 2-0 win over Stromgodset in the Europe League Group G, now I look over it and regret not playing Martin Odegaard against his former club :). We won the other match in the EFL Cup 3rd Round over Gillingham) until we lost a goal-friendly match against Leicester 3-4. Then we won 2-0 over Spartak Moscow in the Europe League Group G and then battered Stoke 5-1 in the Premier League which was followed by a 3-1 win over Burnley. Then we got a win over PAOK 3-1 which meant we had won against every team in the first three matches which put us top of the Europa League Group G table. After that we had a match against Crystal Palace in the Premier League which we won 3-1 despite hangover after the Europa League match. Then followed a win over Slaven Bilic's West Ham 1-0, which was only the start of mind games and spats we made towards each other. Then despite the lack of rest we pleasingly won 3-0 over Manchester City in the Premier League. Then we won 2-1 over PAOK in the Europa League Group G despite resting some players from the Manchester City game with a match against Liverpool in mind. Talking about Liverpool, we won that match 5-1 which was two very impressive matches won in a row in the Premier League. Then followed a third Premier League match in a row won beautifully which was a 5-2 battering of Arsenal, poor Petr Cech, should've stayed at Chelsea following our next game against them, well at least Arsenal didn't finish 4th this season ;). Followed by that in the reverse fixture of the Europa League Group G match against Martin Odegaard's former team Stromgodset was a battering of them in a 5-1 win for us. Now here is the Chelsea match in the Premier League in where we got thrashed 2-6, mainly because of Gianluigi Donnaruma's awful day in goal, unfortunetely this dramatic and devastating lost costed us our match winning streak for Manchester United in the Premier League which would've changed the record for Manchester United, :(. We did get back on track but that really costed us the Premier League title. We got a 3-1 win over Millwall in the EFL Cup Quarter Final, a 3-1 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League and a 5-3 win over Spartak Moscow in the final Europa League Group G match. Unfortunetely, sometimes when you start a weaker line-up, you get battered by Sunderland 1-4 with David Moyes in charge, pretty upsetting for the fans, :( (this is where more " :( " start coming in). Then a boring game against Southampton resulted in a 0-0 draw in the Premier League (The new LVG?), after that we put Slaven Bilic's team back into their spots as we won 4-1, then we drew with Watford 1-1, won against Hull 4-1 and Middlesbrough 2-0, but our small match winning streak in the Premier League ended in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham in the Premier League. Then we drew with Newcastle 1-1 in the FA Cup 3rd Round which resulted in a replay, now moving on to the other cup in England being the 1st leg of the EFL Cup Semi-finals against Burton Albion who were near relegation zone in the Sky Bet Championship 3-0. Then we won the replay match in the FA Cup 3rd Round 4-0 over Newcastle, drew against Swansea 2-2 in the Premier League, drew against Burton 1-1, won against Bradford City 3-0, thrashed West Brom 6-0, won against Leicester 3-0 and drew against Stoke 2-2. Then we drew with SK Rapid Wien 1-1 in the Europa League 1st Knockout Round Leg 1 and then lost to Tottenham 1-2 in the FA Cup despite putting up the best line-up that was reasonably quite fit and then we won the Europe League 1st Knockout Round Leg 2 against SK Rapid Wien 3-1. Now here is the final score of the EFL Cup Final against a Fulham team who also made the FA Cup finals later on but failed to get promoted from the Sky Bet Championship (don't ask me why, they should've won the Sky Bet Championship) 3-1, then we drew with Burnley 1-1 in the Premier League, won against Crystal Palace 7-4 which tied the most goals scored in a match in the Premier League, then we had two legs against SL Benfica in the Europa League 2nd Knockout Round which we won 4-0 and 4-1, respectively, then we got thrashed by Liverpool 0-5 after thrashing them 5-1 earlier in the season at home (seems like the psychological difference between playing at home and away makes an extremely big difference), then drew with the eventual champions of the Premier League, Arsenal 3-3, then battered Manchester City 4-0 this time, after that we got revenge on Chelsea in a 4-3 win, then we lost the the Europa League Quaterfinals Leg 1 to Roma 3-4, after that we shockingly got thrashed by Bournemouth 2-7 (with results like that we should be getting relegated at the end of the season but instead we come third not that far off the title), then we recovered ourselves with a 4-1 win over Roma in the Europa League Quaterfinals Leg 2, in the next fixture against Sunderland we only lost by one goal (which is still disappointing, especially considering David Moyes wasn't sacked by then) 2-3, then we recovered ourselves with our frenemy (make it enemy) relationship with Slaven Bilic (surprisingly it doesn't matter that my manager's second nationality is Croation and Slaven Bilic is also Croatian) after we beat his team 3-2. Here comes the day I decided to go on holiday and then embarrasingly lose to Olympique Lyon 0-6 in the Europa League Semi Final Leg 1, the Fourth of May 2017. Then we drew with Southampton and Olympique Lyon 2-2 and 0-0 in the Premier League and the Europa League Semi Final Leg 2, respectively. Then to end off the season we beated and impressive Watford that were vying for the Europe spots, and at one stage, even the title 3-2. Unfortunetely, the last game didn't really make a difference so it doesn't really matter that we lost 1-2 to Hull in the Premier League (surely we got relegated?).
