Instruction for bin extraction:
1. Download latest quickbms on zenhax
2. Download the latest marvel ultimate alliance bms file, or copy paste the code text to notepad, and save as bms or txt
3. Open quickbms via Right Click to Run as Admin or set the program to be able to Run as Admin by default
4. Select the bms or txt that contains MUA extraction codes
5. Select a bin file
6. Create a folder for extracted file under a same name as a bin file you have chosen and enter there then, WAZAAAMM!! That'll work. To extract everything from all bins, you must chose one by one to extract the files from the bin you first chosen to the folder w/ a same name of your chosen bin
7. Once you follow instructions above on game folder, Ctrl+X bin files somewhere outside game folder, then Ctrl+X the folder contained extracted files into the game folder as a replacement

NOTES:
1. zip/mua_dlc.zip folder is important to fill new special dialogue spaces due to some reason when we transit the DLC special dialogue code from its dlc map packages files to the original ones will cause crash due to out of space on the original, like the special conversation codes from murder2_dlc to murder2 pkgb
2. This means if you want to edit the DLC files (like XMLB related and IGB files) you need to extract one of them first, then put them to the right directory once you are done
3. So please keep the zip/mua_dlc.zip like that
4. If one of you don't know how to drag the files to mua_dlc.zip on zip folder, you need to Install WinRar first

NOTE: some requires training to master the fixing on alpha channeling the hud's BG carefully:

Gameplay Updates 1.0
  • Adds Captain America's flipjump from MUA2, which added to shared talents. Besides Cap, it is also given to Black Widow (not available in this pack til Patch 3 is out), Deadpool, Hawkeye, Nightcrawler Sabretooth, Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine
    • Spider-Man and Venom now has animation edit to make use of flipjump like in MUA2 VVisions
  • Blade and Thing is given a change to match their MUA2 counterparts due to a limitation on shared talent fightstyles:
    • Blade: uses a shared flipjump, and MUA2 shotgun effect for his charge melee attack
    • Thing: X > O > O Stun 2 is a reused Hand Clap animation
  • NPC enemy version of their playable counterparts' melee and throw animations to prevent some bugs
    • For System Exclusive NPC enemies like Colossus and Cyclops now has some of their playable counterpart's fighting style
  • NPC Doctor Doom only have his playable version's melee moves
  • NPC Nightcrawler also given his playable version's effects, but not power animation
    • Safe for NPC ally version of their playable counterparts may only use melee animations for some reason, such as on Doctor Strange, due to his story on this game from the start lost his magic abilities
  • Jean Grey and Psylocke has some of MUA2 melee and throw animations
  • Dum Dum Dugan and Corsair now uses Nick Fury and Daredevil's melee animations
  • Lizard from the simulation now uses his Classic labcoat, while the Act 3 Lizard now dubbed as "Ultra Lizard", henched by his package name
  • NPC Realism for a certain NPC Bosses
  • Cyclops' Optic Blast based melee no longer have a bullet effect, along with the guard no longer look like Iron Man's since Cyc's true power has no armor bases
  • Fix Daredevil's baton hand segment on herostat
  • Since Dr. Doom is not flying on the ground like Strange and Magneto, the walk, run and sprint code on his ps_file are now removed
  • Hawkeye Re-Updates to hybrid 360/PSP (unused Wii):
    • Grabsmash: the holster sword sound used for hit stabbing only
    • Paralyzer: now has p2_power sound for the start, and now shots 3 arrows like in PSP (unused Wii) version
    • Adamantium Arrow: Now dubbed "Hellfire Adamantium Arrow", with a fiery update on hitting enemies' pelvis
    • Piercing Shock: Update with P2_release effect from PSP (unused Wii) version
    • Ricochet Rocket: Arrow coding decrease to prevent crashing (the bird multipart showing now part of the missile showing) + return of the missile shot model

    • NOTE: You must have the backup of the "script.bin" file to get the original script files inside "doomstark1b" folder. Very important to the rest of bin, should some original extracted files on the backup folders got accidentally replaced with modded ones

    • Cyclops Vs. Starbolt: Protect Jean Grey, same stage area as Daredevil's in Helicarrier
    • Dr. Doom Vs. Dark Mr. Fantastic: Asgard
    • Magneto Vs. Neutron: Protect Medusa in Helicarrier
    • Moon Knight Vs. Thunderball: Asgard
    • Nick Fury Vs. Winter Soldier: Helicarrier (except it will be different than Cap had Winter Soldier captured)

    • NPC version Ghost Rider: After defeating Arcade, similar to like how Beast and Angel are in X-Men Legends II, he will disappear
    • NPC version of Hulk: Mostly on the maps' positions
    • Jean Grey: Same as Ghost Rider, but different, regarding of her rescue in Murderworld & being sent to Mephisto's Realm before being rescued again
  • Learning how to add more than 1 mp3 sounds & without looping. The looping was occurred on Storm's new sounds
  • Figuring how to get Magnetic Damper Mission completion script & mapping codes similar Ant-Man's Cybernetic Helmet & Iron Man's Cufflink unlocks. Need help here, would you mind?
  • With the current tools, animation mixing & custom mesh mods are now possible. Plan to test one of the EXG stages to see if some files works there, too.
Reused Unused Special Dialogues
  • Doctor Strange: Ghost Rider (after saving him in Mephisto 2), Mephisto (entering Mephisto 4)
  • Hulk: Ultimo Mark 2, Spider-Woman (on Sanctum Sanctorum), Dr. Doom (on Act 5 puzzle mess with fix hud appearance)
  • Iron Man: Nick Fury (on entering Murderworld 1, and encountering Galactus' Drill on Skrull Planet 3 with fix hud appearance on Nick Fury's part)
  • Magneto: Arcade (when pressing the disco bomb, the same situation as Elektra on Murderworld 5)
  • Ms. Marvel: Nick Fury (on entering Murderworld 1 (main))
  • Nightcrawler: Mephisto (after breaking the chains on Mephisto 2, and entering Mephisto 4 with some custom dialogues, the same situation as Thor and Doctor Strange)
  • Spider-Man, & Storm (main): Jean Grey (entering the tent)
  • Spider-Woman: Uatu (before going to Shi'ar)
WARNING!!
  • There might be some bugs on particularly on mostly Act 5's Doom's Castle last stage so be careful, if the bug is messed up while in 4 team and wanted to continue the game, must be at least 3 team. Formerly two last of Mephisto’s stages
    • UPDATE: It is discovered that the only way to get into Final Boss/Doom w/ 4-teams w/out crashing is to use 1 hero who has 7/8 powers & the rest uses 6 powers (like Iron Man, Colossus & Nick Fury)
  • Do not use PSP/unused Wii Textured IGBs, it won't work during gameplay
    • Side note: PSP/Wii only Blade's Daywalker Hud is also incomplete & the differences are on his head and outfit. So I made a brand new ones.
  • Can't add more than extra 1 simulation. Meaning we can't match the ones in PSP/unused Wii
  • Likely music bug that bugging the first part on the villain intros and Banner or the voice files bugging them, safe for 7th-gen ones will be handled by Activision. The formats & file name within fsb are okay & so as the villains' conversation codes, something's up
    • Some normal simulations' villain intro first part voice files are safe as 7th-gen ones: Captain America, Wolverine, Ultron, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman & Ulik
  • Future upcoming Patch 3's mlm_team_back will be handled by Activision once the company updated the character select uis
Bonus Unused
  • Team Bonus for 3 remaining PSP/unused Wii playables codes
  • NPCStats has some of NPC PSP/unused Wii exclusive codes
  • Textured IGB models for PSP/unused Wii exclusives (Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Ronin, Swordsman). Please do use it on gameplay
  • Herostat, Simulations (Survival Missions requires tests, to make it work), along with menus from PSP/unused Wii

Simple Fixes Instruction
Simple Fix for those who understands the datamining on the game folder and bin file extractions of the game:

  • After extraction from bin files to a folder with a same name as a bin file you chose to be extracted via quickbms (set in Run as Admin) one by one, then backup bin files to a separate folder, and replace bin files with the folder contained extracted files on the game folder
    • On zip folder, open mua_dlc.zip, go to packages/dlc/maps/act3/niffleheim, rename "niffleheim2_dlc" to "niffleheim2b_dlc" since Ymir's presence is on "2b", not "2"
    • On scripts/act5/doom/doom1, open py script with notepad or text editor, then find "DoctorStrange" and replace with "DrStrange", which is Doctor Strange's heroname as of in data folder's herostat file and/or talents folder
    • On conversations/act2/murder, go to murder1 folder and move "murder2" related files to murder2 folder. See Cyclops special dialogue conversations file name on mua_dlc.zip's conversations/act2/murder/murder2, "014" is the same name as Spider-Man's regular "014", though different dialogues but same location
    • On textures/loading, copy both hawkeye and 1901 igb file, then rename to 17101 and 17404 respectively, same goes for 2 PSP/unused Wii characters (except 20701 (ronin) who still have the loading screen in this game folder (14801 > 20101 (Black Widow) and captmarvel > 20201 (Captain Marvel)
  • On sounds/eng/c/o/colos_m.pak, the most simple fix to fix the incorrect sound file name behind the sound issues, rename the "_v" part to "_m" on some of his file like Death, Land, Jump, Throw, Pain
  • On sounds/eng/b/p/bpsim_v.pak, one of the most simple fix to fix the incorrect sound file name behind the sound issues, rename the "ICEMAN" part to "ARCADE"

I sincerely don’t understand why there isn’t a banal way to replace files and I don’t understand why I have to deal with some kind of file extraction and repacking. It's all so weird these days.

Does this restore enemy dialogue? I noticed in this port enemies never speak and if they do they get cut off almost immediately

@beatlebailey469 @DarkPhobia0 It's on Zenhax. Find marvel ultimate alliance.bms file there, usable for both MUA1 & 2. Don't go download MUA2 bms one, it's for its 360 version only.

@kl36720 Thanks for your effort making alll this work! Is there a possibility the instructions can be revised for people that are new to quickbms? I was able to download it but I cannot find the latest marvel ultimate alliance bms file anywhere, thanks!

I would love to install this too, but I honestly have no idea what to do. I know how the bms extractor works with the bin files to folders, but I have no clue where to find the MUA.bms/txt file first lol.
