How To Divorce Your Spouse
By WINSTON
Skyrim does not allow any divorce option so in this guide I will show you how to do that without using mods or killing your spouse. Just some console commands.

Breaking The Bonds

Open up the console and type in the following commands:

removefac 51596 player.removefac C6472 resetquest 74793 resetquest 21382 setstage 74793 10

Close the console, you should see your ex-wife/ex-husband walk away.
You are now divorced.

The console can be opened and closed using ` or \, depending on your keyboard layout. The key is located between Esc and Tab.
Removing Marriage Items

Your Bond of Matrimony ring should be gone because of the command you typed in the console, but if for some weird reason it's still in your inventory, sell it. This ring is given back to you once you are remarried by Maramal.

Unequip your Amulet of Mara if you're wearing it.
Arranging A New Marriage

Now if you head to the Temple of Mara in Riften and speak to Maramal you will not see the dialogue for a new Amulet of Mara or about arranging a marriage.

Don't worry, wait 24 hours in-game time, equip your Amulet of Mara, propose the marriage and go back to Maramal. You can now arrange your marriage.

Does this work in real life? Asking for a married friend.

I did this but when I go to Maramal there is no option to arrange a marriage all I can say to him is "do you accept charity" and "can you tell me more about Maras beliefs", so there is no option to progress the Misc quest "talk to Maramar about arranging a marriage". What should I do?

I deleted my previous comment. I forgot to empty the prid from the console so I probably removed the married faction from some plant or something I previously had selected.

just in case someone has a problem like Vincent's, empty your inventory into a chest, open the console, then type player.removeitem 000C5809

Then, grab all your stuff back out of the chest

Won't let me sell/destroy the Bond of Matrimony. Doesn't show an option to sell when at the appropriate vendor/merchant nor does it show to destroy the item for an enchantment on the enchantment menu. Any help?
