In this guide I will show you how to get the Steam Community Overlay working in Need for Speed™ Undercover.

To be able to use and take advantage of all functions of the Steam Community Overlay in Need for Speed™ Undercover, you have to add it as a Non-Steam Game to your Library!

Adding a shortcut to a Non-Steam Game:

- Launch Steam;

- Click the Games menu, then choose "Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library";



- Browse for your Need for Speed™ Undercover installation path (by default: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Need for Speed Undercover");

- Select "nfs.exe";



- Click Add Selected Programs.

Voilà! You can now enjoy playing Need for Speed™ Undercover using the Steam Overlay!

Keep in mind though, that If you will do this trick you will loose the counting hours feature. All games added as Non-Steam Games don't support counting hours so you should keep this in mind before proceeding!

Also, you should note that when adding the Steam version of Need for Speed™ Undercover as a "Non-Steam Game", you also have to use a "custom" game fix (v1.0) to get pass the error upon launching the game after you have added it as a "Non-Steam Game".
