Preface
This guide will be separated into sections to detail the following:
  • Area types and descriptions of what they do.
  • Special Effect list and descriptions.
  • List of elements and associated words.
  • The effects of certain words when used in naming spells.
  • A list of example spells. (To be done)
  • A list of spells that do not follow expectations.

This is aimed at helping the players find the best spells for either function or flavour and to inform people of what their spells do and how they work.
Area Types
  • Front - This will target only the square immediately in front of you.
  • Straight - This will fire a projectile in the direction you are pointing.
  • Target - This will hit the closest enemy in front of you that you have direct line of sight to.
  • Double-way - This will fire 2 projectiles, one forwards, the other backwards.
  • Three-way - This will fire 3 projectiles in a fan shape in the direction you are pointing.
  • Wide - This will fire 3 projectiles side by side in the direction you are pointing.
  • Cross - This fires projectiles to the front sides and back of the direction you are pointing.
  • Fan - This hits all enemies within 2 squares in a fan shape in front of you.
  • Large Fan - This hits all enemies within 3 squares in a fan shape in front of you.
  • Square - This hits everything in a 3x3 square in front of you.
  • Far Square - This hits everything in a 3x3 square 1 tile away in the direction you are pointing.
  • Area - This hits all enemies within 2 spaces of you.
  • All - This hits everything on the screen (except you).
  • Self - This does what it sounds like, it hits you and only you.

These are all the area types I've found so far. If there are any others you come across please let me know what it is and the name of the spell you found it on.

  • EyeRemedy - Removes the Blind debuff.

Offensive Effects / Debuffs:

  • Curse - Target performs actions at half speed.
  • Eagle - Allows critical hits.

  • Instakill - Chance to instantly kill the target.
  • LongRange - Increases the area of effect or range of the spell.
  • Mine - Places a mine that will detonate when somebody walks over it.
  • Multi - Causes the spell's effect to be cast multiple times.
  • Pierce - The spell will pierce through the first enemy it hits and continue hitting enemies behind it until reaching the end of it's range.
  • Push - Moves enemies away from you.
  • Poison - Deals damage over time to the target.
  • RemoveBuff - ??? (Removes enemy buffs)
  • Setup - The spell will place an obstacle in the targeted area that will deal damage to anything that walks over it. (Basically a multi-use mine)
  • Silver - ??? (Rumors of it being useful against Werewolves?)
  • Sleep - Target goes to sleep for a few turns, will wake up if hit. (Can't move or attack)
  • Stun - Will stun the target for a few turns. (Can't move or attack)
  • Whatever - Creates a random effect at the targetted area.

I have not found out specifically what every special effect does yet or even all of them most likely.
If anybody can provide some more info as to what they do please share, thanks.
Word Effects
*NB - These words do not always provide the listed effects and might differ depending on the order of the words in the spell or some other unknown reason. Also not all words effect every part of the spell and might have priorities.

Things like Max Level, Power and Cost will be specified with numbers only when the result should always give the number otherwise the number can vary quite a bit depending on the other words in the spell and the order and will be specified with words that describe whether or not the Word generally provides high or low values.

Strange Combinations
This section will describe some examples of spell names that seemingly do not produce expected results.

  • Fire Blast is not a Straight Push type spell like nearly every other XXX Blast spell. Instead it is a Wide Piercing spell.
  • Almost everything named either Lava or Magma is not a combination of Heat and Earth. Instead they are mostly Heat only.
  • Stardust Arrow does not Pierce however the plain Stardust spell does.
  • Very few spells named Rock, Earth or Stone seem to actually give Earth element spells.
  • Frost and Ice sometimes also do not provide Frost only spells and instead are combination of Heat/Frost or Storm/Frost.

@Xlax
Yes, the input is case-sensitive, if I remember correctly.
Xlax 21 Apr, 2019 @ 6:16pm
@CrazyYanmega do you have to capitalise each word?
Extendo-Weasel 21 Apr, 2019 @ 10:17am
That's weird. Did you capitalize the first letter of each word?
Xlax 18 Apr, 2019 @ 10:45pm
@bladeofnight464 Forgot to type that those spells didn't give the desired effect. I got a blast darkness spell for summon skeleton and an ice spell for summon slime. neither spell gave summon anything.
Marigold 18 Apr, 2019 @ 7:31pm
@Xlax
If I remember correctly, you can type "Summon Skeleton" as the name of the spell and get a spell that summons a Skeleton to fight for you.
Also, if I remember correctly, level does not have to do with what spells can be named.
Xlax 17 Apr, 2019 @ 11:17pm
So I tried "Summon Skeleton" and "Summon Slime" cause I seen a guide like that said to use that. Or is it only just "Summon" and you get a random one.

Does level have to do with what spells can be named?

@ShadowMagic Unless my memory is really shoddy, Master Spark is created a beam spell that took three turns to cast.
