UPDATE!

I just performed a massive overhaul on this environment with higher quality 3D models all around, realtime lighting and full freedom teleportaion. Poke your head inside the cockpit of the falcon for a little surprise, and besure to use the laser bolts to teleport around, explore and enjoy!

All models are used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike liscense and all credit go to the respective 3D modelers from sketchfab.com Were it not for their talents I would not have been able to create or experience this space battle in VR.

This environment comes without a background so you can use whatever you like.

Geogan, this comes without a background by default so you can set your own to your liking. There are tons of space backgrounds and more being released by the day. Search SteamVR workshop, subscribe, enjoy!

Hold on... in the photos here there appears to be a nubula background image brightening up the scene. But when I viewed this yesterday on Oculus from the new Steam home system, there was no backdrop - it was completely black background - thought it looked very odd and dark...

Anyone know a good space background for this. Without earth or other non matching things.
