Birthday Mod

Description
Lets other mods know when it’s your birthday.

Have you ever wished that XCOM 2 would go a little easier on you when it’s your birthday? If you answered yes, then you’re in luck because The Birthday Mod can help you out with that. This mod allows you to enter your birthday via Mod Config Menu. Alternatively, you can follow these instructions to enter your birthday without using MCM. Once you do that, simply activate the mod and it will activate the following mods’ birthday features when it’s your birthday:
The list may be pretty short now, but soon there’ll be too many mods to list! Or alternatively this’ll never catch on, but you don’t want that to happen, do you? Anyways, if you’re a modder interested in joining the cause implementing birthday features, be sure to check back soon for the documentation. It’s easy, honest!

  • Mod Config Menu provides an in-game menu that can be used to configure this mod

Possible Future Changes
  • Allow the activation of birthday features on other days (holidays, for example)
  • Create a separate mod that makes vanilla XCOM 2 features become easier on your birthday

I got an idea

What if you set up dates where ADVENT, aliens, Chosen were easier on you on religious holidays. When ADVENT, aliens, Chosen observe major holidays of religion (Christian, Jewish, Hindu, etc) go easier on you,

On said days they'd even gather up in houses of worship (One of the few instances where all three Chosen are seen outside the final level)

However, if you blow up said house of worship (church, synagogue, etc) and kill a ton of ADVENT, aliens, and even all three Chosen... expect them to ramp up retaliations.

Haha this is the polar opposite of my usual xcom experience, my birthday is april 26th & in the 2012 xcom that was one of the most common dates for the first terror mission. My present was usually chryssalids...

I was thinking this mod idea could be further utilized: Say the ADVENT and pals were religious and say Sunday is the day they do it.
With a tweak to this mod, aspects would be easier on that day.
Stretch goal: increase retaliation after hurting them on this day.

I mean, that's not too bad since leap years are every 4 years, in 2035 the next one would be...in 2036, so sure a years off but not too far off :^)

But it does suck since after that you'll be waiting until 2040, and you'd probably have completed the game by then
