Trick Tutorials on YouTube
There is tons of them online, but here are the most helpful in my opinion:

Controller Tricks
Using a controller on PC may put you at an advantage, or a disadvantage. It all depends on what you are used to. Here are the tricks you can do with a controller:

SWITCHING:

Push [LS] and [RS] to opposite horizontal extremes (i.e. both out to the sides, or both meeting together in the middle) to ride forward/backward (ski) or goofie/regular (snowboard)

PERFORMING ADVANCED GRAB:

Use [RS] to define the hand position on the board/skis prior to pulling [RT]/[LT] to grab. Once you grab you can tweak it by pushing [RS] in any direction.
(S)

DON'T HOLD FORWARD:

Simple advice, but really effective for new players. Holding forward puts you in the 'tuck' position, and it will 'squash' all of the jumps you go over, and limit your lateral control. Ease up once you're up to speed, and you will move and trick more freely. Full tilt forward is great for bursts of acceleration or catching up with friends.

Performing Advanced Tricks

"Use [RS] UP or DOWN to perform a flip in Snowboard or Lincoln loop in Ski. Use [RS] LEFT or RIGHT at any time of your trick to shift your body from 90° and add style to your trick or finish a risky rotation.

"The pressure you put on the [LS] when you trigger a trick define your speed rotation. Push [LS] gently to perform a classy 360° spin on huge jump!"

Trick Safety Option

In Game Options, there is a mysterious setting: Trick Safety. This is ON by default. It is there to prevent you doing tricks where the probability is against you.

But with it OFF you may find more control over launching your jumps, and that it's easier to execute close-to-the-ground moves.. try it.. if you find yourself tumbling a lot more than before.. turn it back ON.
