After using mods that remove all the fuzz/static from camera view, I felt that it was too plain. So I created my own with a hexagon pattern and military style, then I created this more realistic one. Useful for easier targeting and great for ground attack vehicles.

Recommended to use with Digi's Camera Panning

New and improved overlays here! [GTR] Camera & Turret Overlay 2

- The green overlay is for turrets, inspired by tanks video displays.

- The white overlay is for cameras, inspired by aircraft targeting pods.
It also greatly helps in aiming for targets or orienting your ship with an object.

This is part of my HUD/GUI pack I created and want to work on, but I stopped because I will wait until Keen changes the HUD. They said it would be the next big thing they work on. It is inspired by Ace Combat and Arma 3. The main Crosshair and Horizon Line are not included in this mod.

Its been a long time since I've played SE, and I'm not sure what changes they have made or when a change broke the mods :/

The horizon line is part of the full HUD redesign I was working on, but im not sure if it can be done with the "moddable" HUD. It'll most likely have to be manually installed which could get complicated for people and updating. I also stopped playing SE. I've been waiting for the new survival update to get back into it, which has taken almost a year now.

Would anyone want the turret crosshair/overlay more simplifed and/or similar to the camera overlay?

The new HUD is better than I expected. I have a few ideas of things I can change, but I will have to figure out all the code though and I dont havent had time lately. Hopefully in the coming weeks.

There are some scripts to show distance looked at on LCDs, but not sure its possible for camera. I was worried about the camera HUD not being too visible against snow, but I didnt want it to conflict with my custom green crosshair.

Not sure how things work. But would love to see distance to anything pointed at. That would help greatly for altitude bombing.

or when a cam gets destroyed you get static cut for 1 sec.

If your asking for normal HUD layouts then its fine as is :)
