The Moon: Enhanced - needs a fix from Keen SWH

Description
This mod will no longer look right until Keen restores the ability to add albedo shading. See below. VOTE!

UPDATE: I am working on updating all my planet mods, but I need some help. Many of the planet mods I create make use of albedo shading. This technique, discovered by Xilthis, creates subtle shading that brings a little more depth to planets. We had to use the ore mark mechanic to do this. Since Keen has changed the way ore marks are done, it is no longer possible to do this using that mechanic; but, it is still possible to do if Keen will implement it by making use of an existing, unused texture layer in the same file. If we can get the votes up, maybe they will make this technique part of the approach to planet design. Please go here and vote for this feedback: https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/general/topic/return-the-ability-to-create-planetary-albedo-maps-using-add-file. They will not listen to feedback with only a few votes. Please help.

This is a variation on the Moon intended to look more like it does in real life. It has shading based on the actual albedo of the Moon. When positioned correctly in orbit, it should look like the moon as we see it from Earth. Ice can only be found in some of the craters near the poles.

This mod doesn't replace the default version of the Moon. If you're looking to use this in the Campaigns, in Easy Start scenarios, or any world that uses the default version, you'll want to use the Vanilla Replacement version of this mod, which can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=850317042&tscn=1485440712.

Recommended Size: 19 km
Gravity: 0.16 g

To do:

1. Rotate so that the correct features point toward Earth as we see it in real life.
2. Tweak ice placement.
3. Tweak shading at the poles.
4. Lighten the albedo slightly.

Heightmaps are custom and created in World Machine - based on data from the USGS Astrogeology Science Center. Textures are tweaked versions of the vanilla Moon textures.

Have fun with that. I did two small custom asteroids... took a day of render time (for each one) to convert them for use in Space Engineers.

Genius idea, copy this moon's 3D model and insert it in a 3D application, then down-scale it and program it into Space Engineers as a rlly big asteroid.

I don't know if it works but the idea is great.

@737 Garrus - the minimum size allowed is 19km diameter. What you need is a custom asteroid created in a 3D application and converted for use in SE... which is not easy and takes a very, very long time to make.

Can this be made as a really big asteroid or a really small planet? I want to make a construct just like this one.

Actually, you're right. Because my heightmaps are different, it doesn't work with the Easy Start Moon. Will make it a separate mod.

Thanks for the suggestion.

@Drakon - Done and done. This is now a replacement mod. If folks want a separate version, I will do one. I'm going to do a more server friendly version anyway. Since it doesn't look like you changed anything in the PlanetGeneratorDefinitions file, I don't believe you even need that in your mod anymore. So, now you can just link to this and it will work.
