That format blocks other formats, which makes me able to e.g. show how to make the text bold without actually making it bold

Hyper Links are very usefull for linking photos on imgur etc.
Use [url=http://www.Website_URL.com]YOUR TEXT[/url]

This is alternate format of Bulleted List. You don't need to write 1., 2. everytime :D

You can create an simple text box by not providing the author while using regular quote, or using a code (shown below this section)

Be aware that the code box uses a different font and the Text Box created using quotes expands with the text, while code box doesn't - it has the maximum width

Automatic widgets

You can also add various widgets by entering a link.

Entering a link leading to steam store will create:

Images

You can embed an image using the following

[img]image url[/img]

This method DOESN'T work in guides, but you can use it in your workshop items description for example. If you want to use an image in your guide, you need to upload the file by yourself using the tool located on the right side of your screen that you see while editing guides section. You're able to upload regular JPEGs and even GIFs (as shown at the end of this guide). You can also embed a video (that you uploaded on steam, not a YouTube one) or one of your uploaded screenshots on Steam using the same tool mentioned.

Combinations

You can combine most of these like this:

will become

Make sure to close them in reverse order of opening them.

Important

Not all formatting codes work everywhere. For example

Tables, quotes, codes will only work at group annocuments and guides
Bold text, italic text, spoilers will everywhere, even profile comments
Header text will work everywhere except profile comments

Lists, code, and quotes don't seem to work in profiles anymore, otherwise, great guide!

You can also use them for empty comments. Just say " [i][/i] " for example.

Do these always work for workshop creations? If not can you tell me which ones dont work in the description of something uploaded to the workshop?
