Intro
When I first started playing Furi, I did terrible. The first boss kicked my ass!
When I went on to guides to try to find something to help, all the guides were aimed towards pros/speedrunners.
So, after a couple hours and many deaths later, I decided to make this!
I hope it helps.
Before you start the game
First things first, if you have a controller dig it out.
I've been playing Furi on my keyboard the entire time, and I can tell you firsthand how brutal it can be. You can't aim and dodge at the same time since you dodge in the direction of the mouse.
Now if you don't have a controller, that's okay! Just be prepared that it's going to be harder.

Next, difficulty.
Choose Furi mode. Just do it. If you have no experience in video games or are just very terrible choose prominade, but be warned it makes the game unbearably easy and extremley short. Like, you can easily beat the game in 1 hour short.
No, seriously, look at this guy:
(Go to 23 minutes to see him beat the third boss in under 1 minute)
He's not even a pro. PLEASE choose Furi.
First boss - The Chain
Furi is all about perseverance. If you die on the first boss, that's okay!
The first boss on Furi mode can be tricky, especially since you have to learn the timing.

However, there are a few tricks. For example, the first boss really likes to taunt you. He'll say something like "Graaah, let's do this!" and point at you with his staff. He does this while in the open bullet sections AND in the close combat sections.
During these parts, he is VERY vulnerable. If you're close to him, try to get a charged sword attack for massive damage.
If you're farther away, try getting a charged shot on him.
Speaking of, charged shots will knock him down for a second, and can cancel some attacks.

He will also sometimes do an attacks where he shoots bullets out of his hand in left to right right to left sort of way.

See the green bullets? If you shoot them, they turn into transparent slower moving green circles with triangles in them that give you health.
Try to get some health whenever he uses this attack!
Also: your shots destroy his (unless they're the orange kind)

His final form might seem impossible at first, but it's very easy once you get the hang of it!
Just shoot a path through his bullets, and when the unshootable orange ones appear, charge your dodge (hold the dodge button) to zip past them!

If you're still having trouble with this boss, keep trying and learn from your mistakes. Get better at parrying, it's good practice for later.

If you STILL can't even get close to beating the boss, it might be time to consider switching to promenade. You can do so at the game over screen :c
Second Boss - The Strap
This boss will probably take you more than one try to beat!

Near the center of the arena, there are some lit up squares on the ground. When you walk on them, a box will appear for a second and then The Strap will go CRAZY and run straight for the square and attack it.

The boss becomes very vulnerable in this time, leaving you MORE than enough time to charged sword her.
Use these to your advantage, especially since they regenerate between phases.

You can also get easy charged sword attacks when she uses her scythe against you (after the second phase when she gets it) in the bullet sections. Dodge twice away from her and then charge your sword. She'll stop pretty close to you so make sure you back up, but as soon as she's done doing her attack, BAM! Easy charged sword.

She has this one attack where she fires a singular purple orb that moves very fast, is homing, and deals a lot of damage. Trying to dodge this to the left or right will result in it hitting you, and unless you have a wall right behind you dodging straight forward will cause it to do a 180 and hit you from behind. So what do you do?
You must parry this attack! The upside to this attack is a successful parry causes it to home in on The Strap and deal the same damage as a charged shot to her, knocking her down in the process.

Once again, I encourage you to just persevere if you fail. Learn her attacks and get better at parrying, you'll beat her eventually!
Third Boss - The Line
MAN this guy is annoying.

In his first phase he basically plays breakout with you. He creates three walls and you need to shoot them, but he reflects your bullets causing it to turn into a bullet hell.
This phase can be really annoying if you don't know what you're doing, but there is a very easy way to beat this phase.
It works so well I have no-hit the first phase using this strategy.

Step 1: go to the edge of the arena, back against a wall
Step 2: aim straight forwards and use your normal (not charged) gun shot.
When your bullets bounce back at you, you'll shoot them before they even get close
Step 3: when he uses the large orange area attack, move to the left or right (whichever has less bullets) and stay there. Repeat 2-3.
You will end up breaking nearly every wall he has, but that's okay as long as you actually beat the phase!

Phase 2 is tricky. At first he'll make rings of bullets around you and the timing is reeeeally tight. It doesn't matter too much if you get hit by all of them, since there are lots of healing shots at the next part.

Then he gets on a large block and shoots a circle of bullets which bounce back and forth from the middle to the edges. Make sure to dodge past these.
Whenever you shoot the block, he puts out 4 of those large orange area attacks. Try to only fire when the bouncing bullets are near the edge of the arena, since that way it'll be easy to dodge both the bullets and area attack.

Then he'll put a bunch of bullets which split into more bullets turning the screen into a bullet hell. Then he'll randomly appear and attack you with his sword only to dissapear if you don't parry.
My strategy was to once again back myself up against a wall, stop moving, and focus on parrying The Line's attacks.
Once you parry him time freezes and all the bullets stop, and your gun stops working. He uses this attack a lot where he says "Make every second count!" where you can charge your sword while dodging and then hit him as soon as the finishes.

Next is a BRUTAL sword fighting part that will most likely kill you the first time you reach it.
If you aren't good at parrying series of attacks, I'd reccomend going back to the chain in practice mode and getting better at parrying.
This part really isn't that hard as long as you know what you're doing and you can parry.

Okay, next phase!
There's another ring of bullets part but it adds big rings where you need to dodge out of the ring and then do a 180 and go back into the ring as the bullets spread outwards.
He gets onto his block again but this time when you shoot it a red ring which you need to dodge past will pop out. He'll also summon orange bullets on your left and right to try to hit you. Dodge through them when they move back to signal they're about to go.
Another bullet hell and time freeze section, be careful since his make every second count attack is harder to dodge.
Finally, just a close quarters combat section similar to the last but slightly harder, and you're done!

The final phase might look impossible at first, but I managed to do it first try!
Use your bullets to destroy his while breaking his blocks and bam! Boss fight over!
4th boss and beyond
Here's a brief summary of each fight to help you know what's coming
4th fight: The Scale
He fires many longer lasers and curving attacks. You'll need to get good at predicting where they will go. He also will use unavoidable attacks where you have to hit a and d or wiggle the joysticks if you're using the controller. Make sure you can escape those!

5th boss: The Hand
Almost entirly sword fighting. NEVER use your gun, in later phases using your gun on him can be very dangerous since he'll reflect your bullets in waves.

6th boss: The Song
Basically the opposite of the hand - barely any swordfighting and almost entirley bullet hell. She flies around making it impossible to it her with your sword.

7th boss: The Sniper
Arguably the hardest boss in the game. Props if you beat her!
Lots of switching between phases where she is invisible and you must find her in her massive arena while she shoots at you then very fast sword fighting sections.

8th boss: The Edge
Another all swordfighting boss, you can probably beat him without too much trouble since he is relativly short and you've already come so far.

9th boss: The Beat:
You have to chase after her on floating platforms with bullets and lasers.
She should also not give you that much trouble, apparently it is really easy to get the "can't touch this" achievment here since falling off the map and taking damage doesn't count against the achievment.

Secret boss that you can only get to after you beat all the others below...
There is a 10th boss called "the star" which you get to by going to the tower in the credits sequence and then selecting "cancel invasion - attack mothership"
The one thing I will say is now you're in a weird suit so you move slower, shoot more bullets, and your charged shot has been turned into a giant beam. The beam does massive damage but slows you even more, use it often!

More soon!

If you're having trouble with one of the later bosses, look up other people beating them. This can help you figure out if you're dodging wrong or if there are any good times to hit them with a charged shot.

Better yet - figure that out yourself! Furi is all about learning attack patterns and reflexes, so expirament! The way I found out all the attacks where you could get an easy charged sword was just spamming the charged sword attack on 1-2 runs.
If you have any other tips you've found on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd boss to help new players share them in the comments!

Good luck, Rider.

you missed a trick at the second boss: you can shoot the wall at certain parts and she'll run up to it and fight it, just like the squares on the ground

If you have a keyboard, you can go into the keyboard control options then change movement to directional. This makes your dash go in whichever direction you're moving when you hit the dash button, making you be able to shoot and dash in different directions. I don't know why it isnt on this by default, but it makes your life way easier.

another tip for strap as a newbie myself. some pillars have these weird symbols on them shooting them messes with straps lamp ? and makes he melee the pillar. the floor tiles makes her shoot the tile. use these for then she is gonna use purple attacks i find the purple scatter shot she does and the blue wave extremely annoying and use the security system to interupt them. im still stuck on this boss but i dont wanna give up.

instead of using your gun, if you charge your sword using whatever key you use to fire your gun, your next hit deals WAY more damage. However you are vulnerable while charging since it takes a second to stop.
Ideally you would knock down the boss with an attack, then when they are on the ground/recovering you charge your sword, then the next time they attack you hit 'em hard. Totally optional though if the timings tricky for you.

What's the "Charged" sword thing ? Only on the 2nd boss but I noticed I could turn orange in combat phrase and I'm not sure I understand why.
